1. One of the funniest cartoons I’ve seen in a while. Be sure to follow the link to the story about the bank robbery perpetrated by foreigners brandishing machine guns and shouting in broken Swedish. They drove a car straight through the front door of the bank. The bank manager, who witnessed the car’s unusual arrival, stated: “I understood that it wasn’t just a regular customer”.

   Travel advisory and a true story, they let these people ‘act’ as airport security personnel and give them weapons as well.
   IF you are a western looking woman, expect to be sexually molested by the males guards as you are checked for weapons, and DON’T expect justice, the government/police will do nothing… just business as usually in Sweden. Your word against theirs and they have guns.
   Gang rape of Swedish woman and girls, common.
   Murder of prominent female politicians, just an isolated incident, of course.
   Elderly beaten bloody and robbed by these ‘unfortunate’ yoths just having fun.
   If you don’t openly agree to hate Americans in a Swedish owned restaurant, expect your food to be extremely salty or of poor quality.
   And if you say “fvck” or smoke a cigarette, well they want to throw you out of the country, but say “GOD DAMN” and “Jesus Christ” and they nod their heads in approval.
   Non-stop hard core, and I mean hard core porno on tv, every night on almost all of the tv stations.
   You will see Swedish youths so stoned out of their minds that they are literally flat on their faces on the streets during the weekends.
   Extremely sexually graphic magazines sold openly, right above the ‘goodie'(candy) counter in every corner store.
   Think the dumb blond image fits them well.

   Sounds like Sweden is really Liberal…it will be the same in Canada before long if we let the Liberals back in power. Changing our immigration laws would be a good start but it will take a majority Conservative Govt. to achieve this.

   In about 20 years (maybe less) if things don’t change for the better we’ll be as dour, closed, unhappy, disconnected and alcoholic as they are.

   The only thing I can say about my stay in Sweden is it woke me up big time as our stay came on the heels of 911. They do have decent people in Sweden and they are hard workers, but as for quality of life for an ‘alien’ thank God for the Christian immigrants, for these very warm and welcoming people made our memories more pleasant.

11. During my time in Abu Dhabi “falls” from high rises were a regular feature in the newspapers. Maids from the Philippines, Indonesia etc that worked (basically as indentured servants) for local families quite often hit the ground from the twentieth floor while “cleaning windows”. Most of the time I think the overwhelming despair of their lives lead the women to jump but sometimes it was their master’s or mistresses’ despair over a pregnancy resulting from their coerced service with male family members.
    I blame capitalists from the West. Fifty years ago they had neither high rises nor maids.
