I’ve had one night stands in my younger days. You know the ones where you wake up in shock and quitly grab your shoes and clothes and sneak out of her house before she wakes and hopes she does’nt reconize you in the future while your with your friends.

Polling shows war spending is a points killer and Hitlery has been hedging her cards there while all but one GOP is full bore spend crazy on continuing this expensive foreign policy.
Now I watch the support $$ numbers closely and RP has grass roots fiscal support no other candidate has…tells me he’s the dark horse.

Did you notice who comes out on top in the “reliability” scale? Just how many times has Guiliani been married, anyhow? And, (just going on a faulty memory so I could be wrong here, someone please correct me if so) didn’t his first marriage end due to his adultery?
I read the poll differently. Hillary’s ratings on honesty and morality aren’t much different from Guiliani’s, and she polls strongly on leadership, competence and intelligence.
Don’t get me wrong, I think she would lead the US down the garden path to decline and mediocrity. But that poll doesn’t cheer me up.
40 for strong leadership for Hillary? That’s hard number to swallow, even for Monica.
– The war is going well.
– The new Democratic house and senate have been impotent, rude unpatiotic, chilish and mean.
– The economy may likely be not so great so Americans won’t be in the mood for higher taxes, if it’s good, the GOP can take credit for that too.
– Hillary is presenting like a slut and a radical fence-sitting liar it would seem.
– There may well be another terror attack between now and election time which will bode well for Guilliani, if not, then the GOP can claim they have done a good job in the war on terror.
Hillary and the Left have nothing. They will lose. I cannot wait to see the look on their faces when that fact comes to be. If I am wrong, I will take it like a man, stock up on food and ammo and wait for the worst.

I hope that Clinton wins the Dem-nom. because I belive that she is unelelectable. This is evident in a few differnt ways.
First of all she has a disapproval rating over 50%, this says to me that any other Dem Canidate is perferable to those who do not support the Dems.
Secondly and most importantly, the skeletons in her closet add up to a grave yard. From working for a communist(Treuhaft) right out of Yale, to her flip flopping on the Iraq war.
To Rep and Dem alike Clinton appears to be an opportunist, not having a moral compass but instead riding the wave of popular opinion. This is very similar to what we in Canada put up with for over a decade under Liberal majority governments.
This is all ammo the GOP can’t wait to use on Clinton because they’ve been preparing for years.

He seems a nice enough guy, but so what, he’s one of those New Age children of little substance, there is no experience or gravitas there. We aren’t all brain dead here, yet.
Most Americans understand, especially in time of war, that the Executive Office is where we want our most decisive person.
We are ahead of my Canadian friends ability, with Europeans still muzzled, in openly having a dialogue as to who is endangering us and how serious it is, how misplaced pc multi-culti dogma has been, I’ve got to believe that Amnericans aren’t going to elect the vacuous and equivocating Dems. Wish I could find the link, but a number of recent polls have shown that Hillary can’t beat any of the top Republicans. What I (and you, I think) wish is that they would show she can’t beat Ron Paul, who is hands down the best person running. I note that the only person with a lower rating on morality is Rudy, whose adulterous relationships are surpassed only by.. Hillary’s husband!
And, I, for one, would never dispute that Hillary has some intelligence. She was some kind of helper on the Watergate hearings, she does have a law degree, she was an honours grad from Wellesley, she helped get the Billentante elected in Arkansas and Washington, she managed to cover up any possible Whitewater trail (remember the incredible “Oh, I didn’t know these boxes were in the White House basement!” fabrication?), and Vince Foster’s death is still considered a suicide. Of course, in literature, Professor Moriarity was pretty clever as well; didn’t make him a good man, and her cleverness doesn’t make Hillary a good woman.

Ron Paul?? Anyone who thinks he could beat or even contend against Hillary has lost their grasp of reality. He pulls support from the far left – retreat on the war on terror – and the far right – flat tax – and zilch from the vast middle.
As for the poll, I wouldn’t put much faith in the data this far out – as the saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt – the best known names have some of the worst ratings.
Hillary is the reluctant choice of much of the moderate dems – she at least has some experience compared to Obama who has as much chance of winning as McGovern did, but they don’t trust her or see her as being anything more than an apolitical opportunist like her spouse was/is. Many, I would venture, don’t believe her when she says she will bug out of Iraq.
So, she will win the nomination but only after she has been badly bruised by the ‘anybody but Hillary camp’ and then lose – decisively – against Guiliani or barely against Romney or Huckabee.
Yup, I can just see the attack ads now. “It’s not just a one night stand. She’ll screw you repeatedly for at least 4 years”

Visit slashdot.org. Paul is by far the most popular candidate there, and most posters on that site are techno-geeks – programmers, sys admins, developers, etc. They are hardly what I call “far right” or “far left”.
I agree he’s a long-shot, but who gave Bill Clinton any chance to win the Democratic nod in ’92? He did nothing in Iowa, and came second in NH. Then the Gennifer Flowers thing erupted, and he appears on 60 Minutes with Hillary doing the first of many “stand by your man” frauds. After that little side-show, he swept Super Tuesday, and the race was effectively over.
So, never say never! (But I agree, it’s unlikely.)

Career choice is hardly an indicator of one’s position on the politcal spectrum. Many of the goons who perpetrated ‘9/11’ were MDs, for example.
And Paul is the diametric opposite of Clinton – Paul is all policy all the time whereas Clinton was/is the political pragmatist with a vacuous policy platform.
