The Captain believes the Republicans will win the presidency in ’08;

He may be onto something. But wait! Get a load of this;
“I want a long term relationship,” she said. “I don’t want to just have a[1] one night stand[2] with all of you.”
That’ll wow ’em in Iowa.
Footnotes:
[1] It depends on what the definition of ‘a’ is.

Update – “When Did Scott Ott Become Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Manager?”

“I want a long term relationship,” she said. “I don’t want to just have a[1] one night stand[2] with all of you.”
Didn’t she learn anything from Bill?
Clinton is trying to earn support of Iowans by launching a new theme today — “Take your Buddy to Caucus.” This is a new strategy from Clinton, who has said that most of her supporters have never been to a caucus before.
different from Bill who “took his Caucus to his buddy Monica”
I’ve had one night stands in my younger days. You know the ones where you wake up in shock and quitly grab your shoes and clothes and sneak out of her house before she wakes and hopes she does’nt reconize you in the future while your with your friends.
If it just so happens that I drank enough six packs to have a one nighter with the Hildabeast, i’d move outa town the next day.
The “captain” is smoking pot in his meerschaum.
Hillary is the annointed ruling class shoe in and the only GOP that can stop her is Ron Paul…or another GOP who wants to reel in the war spending.
Polling shows war spending is a points killer and Hitlery has been hedging her cards there while all but one GOP is full bore spend crazy on continuing this expensive foreign policy.
Now I watch the support $$ numbers closely and RP has grass roots fiscal support no other candidate has…tells me he’s the dark horse.
Now flame away and trash me but I’ll see ya after the presidential election to say I told ya so.
Did you notice who comes out on top in the “reliability” scale? Just how many times has Guiliani been married, anyhow? And, (just going on a faulty memory so I could be wrong here, someone please correct me if so) didn’t his first marriage end due to his adultery?
I read the poll differently. Hillary’s ratings on honesty and morality aren’t much different from Guiliani’s, and she polls strongly on leadership, competence and intelligence.
Don’t get me wrong, I think she would lead the US down the garden path to decline and mediocrity. But that poll doesn’t cheer me up.
40 for strong leadership for Hillary? That’s hard number to swallow, even for Monica.
– The war is going well.
– The new Democratic house and senate have been impotent, rude unpatiotic, chilish and mean.
– The economy may likely be not so great so Americans won’t be in the mood for higher taxes, if it’s good, the GOP can take credit for that too.
– Hillary is presenting like a slut and a radical fence-sitting liar it would seem.
– There may well be another terror attack between now and election time which will bode well for Guilliani, if not, then the GOP can claim they have done a good job in the war on terror.
Hillary and the Left have nothing. They will lose. I cannot wait to see the look on their faces when that fact comes to be. If I am wrong, I will take it like a man, stock up on food and ammo and wait for the worst.
I agree with Hannity on Fox.
I hope that Clinton wins the Dem-nom. because I belive that she is unelelectable. This is evident in a few differnt ways.
First of all she has a disapproval rating over 50%, this says to me that any other Dem Canidate is perferable to those who do not support the Dems.
Secondly and most importantly, the skeletons in her closet add up to a grave yard. From working for a communist(Treuhaft) right out of Yale, to her flip flopping on the Iraq war.
To Rep and Dem alike Clinton appears to be an opportunist, not having a moral compass but instead riding the wave of popular opinion. This is very similar to what we in Canada put up with for over a decade under Liberal majority governments.
This is all ammo the GOP can’t wait to use on Clinton because they’ve been preparing for years.
Bring it on Babe!
Hillary… one night stand [shudder]… must… scrub… BRAIN!!!!
Phantom – LOL!!! The more I look at the Republican situation the more I see Fred going down (not what I would have said some time ago) – Mitt has a real tussel going with voters on the religion thing (or maybe the other way around). Just might be that Huckabee could be the dark horse and gets hooked up with Giulianni – who knows?? Only questions is (in Hillary speak) “Whose on top”?
sounds and looks like a two bagger to me !!!
Billary gives the GOP the most to shoot at. She’s a gold-mine for nasty ads. Pray that she is the DNC runner, because in what will likely be a filthy dirty election, she’s the easiest target.
If B. H. Obama wins the nomination, the GOP will have a much harder time.
The fact that Giuliani doesn’t have a rating of about 2 is scary.
Hillary score second highest on intelligence?
What passes for intelligence in those people?
Giuliani scores highest in Competence, Reliability, Leadership and Judgment!
But that won’t get him elected!!
Good God
Hillary has been all over the news today with her attack on Obama based on, are you ready, a kindergarden statement he made that he wanted to be “president” as an indictment of his power hungry lust. The woman and her operatives actually hunted down and released this to the media. She’s a witch.
Hugo’s sticky little problem with is voters, in spite of his all out assault, must have hit her like a bullet this morning. What to do??
The Dems have been in suicide mode for years if you remove their diminishing core. This is a woman captured on YouTube forever supporting Spitzer’s drivers licenses for illegals.
I hope the Captain is right.
You can spit and hiss but Hitlery will be the next president unless a front tier GOP candiate distances themselves from Bush foreign policy.
Seeing how that is not happening ( except for RP, and his own party is trying to sink is winning campaign) you may as well call Hilly your new pres.
If B. H. Obama wins the nomination, the GOP will have a much harder time.
Paul, I don’t think so, when the Ophra and MSM dust settles Obama is still a very, very lightweight. The top Republicans could shred him on substance in a minute. He seems a nice enough guy, but so what, he’s one of those New Age children of little substance, there is no experience or gravitas there. We aren’t all brain dead here, yet.
Most Americans understand, especially in time of war, that the Executive Office is where we want our most decisive person.
We are ahead of my Canadian friends ability, with Europeans still muzzled, in openly having a dialogue as to who is endangering us and how serious it is, how misplaced pc multi-culti dogma has been, I’ve got to believe that Amnericans aren’t going to elect the vacuous and equivocating Dems. I feel sorry for western civilization if, God forbid, we do.
Every Democrat is perceived as more intelligent than every Republican. Didn’t need a poll to tell us that.
High intelligence and low morality is always a bad combination. Not that the others are what you’d call high-scorers…
WLMR:
Wish I could find the link, but a number of recent polls have shown that Hillary can’t beat any of the top Republicans. What I (and you, I think) wish is that they would show she can’t beat Ron Paul, who is hands down the best person running. I note that the only person with a lower rating on morality is Rudy, whose adulterous relationships are surpassed only by.. Hillary’s husband!
And, I, for one, would never dispute that Hillary has some intelligence. She was some kind of helper on the Watergate hearings, she does have a law degree, she was an honours grad from Wellesley, she helped get the Billentante elected in Arkansas and Washington, she managed to cover up any possible Whitewater trail (remember the incredible “Oh, I didn’t know these boxes were in the White House basement!” fabrication?), and Vince Foster’s death is still considered a suicide. Of course, in literature, Professor Moriarity was pretty clever as well; didn’t make him a good man, and her cleverness doesn’t make Hillary a good woman.
Cripes, if Ron Paul has any type of showing in NH and IA, I’ll send him some money!
hillary’s true nature will soon start to wear on the electorate, other than desperate democrats. This is obvious, except to those who believe she’s been annointed by some dark conspiracy of bilderburgers. She can be defeated by several GOP candidates, except ron paul who has no platform, just naive populist fantasies.
immoral and dishonest.
in the modern world of the Paris Hilton, Belinda Stronach and the other MSM favourites – she oughta be a shoo-in.
Hillary is getting all Freudian on the electorate. She really wants to give everyone one long royal screwing.
I don’t know which is worse, Hillary as Prez thanks to the support & dollars of all those Chinese donors or Dion as PM thanks to the lefty, thefty, lieberals and their sheeple.
Maybe there should be CDF test for potential voters.

I agree! but Hillary has to pull a rabbit out of her hat. The one nightstand may just be with GORE! Think about it! She has lost credibility within her own base and that makes room for a third party.
Worthy of NOTE: The wolf man is back at the Whitehouse. Someone is in for a very bad Day!
I always vote for the best American
Luv watching white-bread shallow elitists strive (and fail) to look hip. Makes me laugh.
Neither Obama nor Hillary are going to be succesful this time around.
The American people are not yet ready for a woman or a Negro to be their President.
Ron Paul?? Anyone who thinks he could beat or even contend against Hillary has lost their grasp of reality. He pulls support from the far left – retreat on the war on terror – and the far right – flat tax – and zilch from the vast middle.
As for the poll, I wouldn’t put much faith in the data this far out – as the saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt – the best known names have some of the worst ratings.
Hillary is the reluctant choice of much of the moderate dems – she at least has some experience compared to Obama who has as much chance of winning as McGovern did, but they don’t trust her or see her as being anything more than an apolitical opportunist like her spouse was/is. Many, I would venture, don’t believe her when she says she will bug out of Iraq.
So, she will win the nomination but only after she has been badly bruised by the ‘anybody but Hillary camp’ and then lose – decisively – against Guiliani or barely against Romney or Huckabee.
Yup, I can just see the attack ads now. “It’s not just a one night stand. She’ll screw you repeatedly for at least 4 years”
Anyone who thinks Ron Paul has a snowball’s chance in hell is on drugs.
Hillary will get the nod and will lose.
If Obama wins from behind, he will lose also.
All the GOP has to do is pick the wishy-washy “moderate” and they’ll win regardless of who the dems pick.
All the numbers for candidates of both parties are disgustingly low in EVERY single category.
Maybe when THAT becomes a real concern instead of wasteful partisan bickering,we can start to solve some of the scary problems the west faces.
Wake up my partisan pals!
Gord:
Visit slashdot.org. Paul is by far the most popular candidate there, and most posters on that site are techno-geeks – programmers, sys admins, developers, etc. They are hardly what I call “far right” or “far left”.
I agree he’s a long-shot, but who gave Bill Clinton any chance to win the Democratic nod in ’92? He did nothing in Iowa, and came second in NH. Then the Gennifer Flowers thing erupted, and he appears on 60 Minutes with Hillary doing the first of many “stand by your man” frauds. After that little side-show, he swept Super Tuesday, and the race was effectively over.
So, never say never! (But I agree, it’s unlikely.)
Kevin:
Career choice is hardly an indicator of one’s position on the politcal spectrum. Many of the goons who perpetrated ‘9/11’ were MDs, for example.
And Paul is the diametric opposite of Clinton – Paul is all policy all the time whereas Clinton was/is the political pragmatist with a vacuous policy platform.
