Much is being made of the “jailhouse testimony” by a man who now states Saskatoon police officers Bradley Senger and Lawrence Hartwig were not responsible for the freezing death of Neil Stonechild…
The notorious freezing death of Neil Stonechild 17 years ago was a murder calculated to keep him from testifying at a trial, and had nothing to do with police, a police commission hearing was told Wednesday.
A career criminal told the Saskatoon hearing that a gun deal gone bad led to 17-year-old Stonechild’s murder by a man against whom he was scheduled to testify.
… by the same people in local media who neglect to mention the nature of the testimony by the lone “eye witness” who put Stonechild in the officer’s car 4 days before his disappearance – career criminal Jason Roy;
He didn’t come forward with his story about the cry for help until after receiving visualization therapy at Kilborn detention center for juvenile offenders.
Nor is it usually mentioned that the judge who oversaw the inquiry discounted the testimony of two accredited forensic pathologists in favour of Roy’s reconstructed memory.

It’s a shame.
Progressive “activist/crusaders” in the crown prosecutor’s office and on the bench were looking for racist white cops and a First nations victim of “racism” to justify the billions od tax $$$ spent on utopian racism witch hunting….and by Gawd if they don’t exist we will bloody well create them.
Another typical star chamber political show trial….this country is starting to resemble cold war era soviet political culture which PET so admired.
I’ve heard of moonlight tours when the cops used to drop guys outside Regina and tell them to get out of town. Native people are harder on each other than any cops white or otherwise are. They lie to protect each other and are not up front with the law when it comes to crime. Our own Police Chief has stated that. And he’s anything but racist. Why are there so many Indians in Jail? Who the hell does all the crime? They should look in the mirror and they will see who’s got the problem. We have to give these people something besides hush money.I’ve worked with them for years and for the most part they are decent people but the their idiots drag them down. I would not want to be an Indian. It’s a hard life but they have to make choices. Some will pull their heads out of their asses and get out of the ghetto some won’t. But I don’t feel it’s my fault.
Visualization therapy,I use that when I play golf. I did not know that it was useful in court trials also. I thought that after the Martindale case that the courts of Saskabush were wise to that psychiatric mumbo-jumbo.
This evidence may very well vindicate some wrongly accused cops, and rightly so, that’s great! But I would suggest that in discussing these issues we avoid blanket statements and generalizations like “they”. For instance ok4ua stated, “They lie to protect each other and are not up front with the law when it comes to crime”. I’m not asking for political correctness, but just a simple recognition that first nations people are not a cohesive unit that all behave and act in one way. I realize he also stated, “I’ve worked with them for years and for the most part they are decent people but the their idiots drag them down.”
It’s nice to see that he doesn’t hold all natives accountable for the actions of a few, but still if I may…When a Caucasian commits a crime is it seen as a blemish upon their respective ethnicity? No. And it shouldn’t for natives either. Natives committing crimes has nothing to do with the colour of their skin.
An irony here is that conservatives argue the importance and existence of individual autonomy, yet often hold a world view of “us and them”. If we’re all individuals with the agency to shape our futures then there should be no “they” in a plural sense. Just him or her. Am I right? 🙂
“In creative visualization, one clearly imagines whatever one wants to manifest (see manifesting); then one gives the idea, image, or feeling positive energy, by focusing on it regularly, until it becomes reality. Creative visualization’s theory posits a spiritual source: a supply of infinite energy, love, and wisdom discoverable in the inner beings of humans.
Expressions for methods identical or similar to creative visualization include: active imagination, creative imaging, directed day-dream, directed waking dream, dynamic imaging, guided fantasy, guided imagery, guided visualization, imagery, imaginal medicine, imaging, initiated symbol projection, inner guide meditation, led meditation, magickal visualization, mental imagery, pathworking, Positive Imaging, positive thinking, positive visualization, visualization, visualization therapy, waking dream therapy, and willed imagination.
For example, willed imagination, also called creative visualization, is the magickal art of imagining the result one desires of one’s magick (the word for Wiccan magic) in order to achieve that result.”
Googling “visualization therapy” does nothing to create any confidence in it. I remember when “recovered memory” was all the rage, and dozens of innocent people were accused of “crimes” they’d never committed.
Maybe courts should stick to traditional evidence, like fingerprints, DNA, blood types, etc.
It didn’t help my golf game either.
Steve, you are right, they are individual agents and individually responsible. However, as a group, Indians have lobbied for and obtained recognition in the criminal justice system for special treatment because of their status as a group, which has the effect of relieving individuals of criminal responsibility, which harms Indians mostly (as the more frequent victims of the crime). This, in turn, exacerbates much of the social dysfunctionality in their communities.
When an individual Caucasian commits a crime, he has no expectation or sympathetic audience for leniency based on his cultural origin–he is just White Trash.
Steve….when I start getting some of that 3 BILLION/year, then it will become him and I. And until the ghetto system(reservations),run by demi-gods, is abolished, and Indians are TREATED the same as everybody else, then it will be even.
wallyj, you gotta visualize , not wallyj, but Tiger Woods, or Singh, or Furyk. Okay, now aaauuuunnnn!
Oh please Kate don’t tell me you actually take the side of of those two filthy disgusting pieces of human garbage posing as Police Officers?
Neil Stonechild wasn’t, and Jason Roy isn’t, a model citizen, but we can’t allow the people we appoint to serve and protect to appoint themselves judge, jury and excutioner.
Now I was told the two officers in question, had never even work together before and were not know to be friends……it seems unlikely that in that kinda situtation they would conspire to beat and leave to die some escaped con..why not just drag his ass back to jail……plus this is old news…….I was told by a cop years ago….EVERY police informant claimed he had been beaten by rival gang members………evidence by two RCMP forensic pathologist…..the only eye wittness only remember YEARS later with the help of mumbo gumbo science…..and geez he has a rap sheet longer then my arm….he wouldn’t have an axe to grind with the cops would he???? I hope these two cops get hired back……..I hope they sue the city, the province, and the media types like John Gormley who was a chief cheerleader for their jobs being taken away……
…psychiatric mumbo-jumbo.
wallyj: Careful with those words, or you might end up being accused of being a Scientologist, or worse, Tom Cruise.
I have known since day one Larry was innocent and was being used as a scapegoat to appease the poor downtrodden natives. Just as Dennis Night made up a story about almost freezing to death when dropped off where he wanted to go.
Their own people don’t believe them but the justice system does.
Most natives do not lie but those that do never tell the truth.
What Larry and his family have gone through should happen to no one.
I still believe David Milguard killed that nurse but didn’t rape her. The people who testified against him at the time were telling the story he told them in a drug induced haze. He described stabbing that nurse. They all got scared and went to the police. His mother kicked him out of the house because she couldn’t control him when he was 16. She became a Born Again and went to his defense. People who knew the details of this crime still believe he did it.There were a lot of details that were not published. He just got paroled. That’s all. The stonechild case is similar in a way. Same angle. You have to blame someone so blame the justice system.
I guess that damn Larry Fisher DNA was just a nuisance along with the knife his wife indicated was Larry’s. And the government gave Milgard $10 mil as hush money. Yeah, that’s the ticket. /sarc off
I also have known Larry and his family for a very long time. There is no way in hell that he had anything to do with this. I hope someday he manages to clear his name and gets the compensation he deserves.
point being is the cops left him to freeze to death. cold hearted murder
On a somewhat related note: go and sign petition at Caledonia Wakeup Call http://www.petitiononline.com/2509dp/petition.html
Kelly: point is cops were not involved.
Only in public and press opinion! no proof!
Railroad job .
Now that the cops can’t wrongfully convict citizens as easily as in the past the tables have turned on them. Tough job but we need them! We never want to go back to the 60’s when the cops were king but the tide has gone out to far.
Native people are a screwed up lot. Money will not heal anyone. It will take years but we haven’t got years. When are they going to get there heads out of there arses. They are harder on each other than any white cop or otherwise have been to them. Natives are taught to respect their elders. Is that all elders white or native or is it all show. They are a society of extremes. They are not nice to each other and have low selfesteme but it’s not my fault. They use each other because that’s all they seem to know.By the time they know what’s gone wrong it’s too late and another generation is ruined. They label successful natives as white washed. What kind of legacy are they leaving their children.
I saw all of this when I was still working. It’s a tragedy that’s for sure. Is there hope? Yes.Will money help them? No.All the money they get is put back in stores, car lots, gambling and I’m sorry to say booze. I’ve seen it time and time again. I’m tired of hearing them whine, them and the farmers. What do they want?
