Heil Hezbollah (bumped)

When the concept of “multiculturalism” was introduced to Canadians, most assumed it meant “more pavilions at Folkfest”.

UPDATE – the billboard’s backers defend their actions. (Nasrallah. Jesus. What’s the difference, really?) … and plenty of reaction from the paper’s readers. (scroll to bottom)
Update 2 – Reader “Geothermal” posts this email in the comments:

Hello,
Your comments have been forwarded to the Mayor’s office. Please note, the billboard has been removed as of this morning.
Thank you for using 311.
Sincerely,
Sean McCorkell

  1. This has been up since yesterday. What I want to know is why hasn’t the msm been defending the right for terrorist recruitment in Windsor. Taliban Jack must be on holidays, and he is going to be pissed when he doesn’t see a picture of him bent over kissing Nasrallah’s ass.

  2. This is beyond belief. Hezbollah advertising in Canada!!!!! And the same old propaganda “peaceful party, defenders of the people”, yeah yeah.
The same people who blew up the US Marine barracks and killed hundreds.
The same who blew up a Jewish community centre in Argentina and killed 50 or more.
Iran’s funded ally against Lebanon moderates and Israel. Car bombs and assasinations are how they plan to overthrow the government.
The same people who would happily kill Canadian soldiers in the name of their primitive female-hating mind-destroying religion.
The same who likely have cells in Canada for London-like murder of our selves and our families!
What does it take for Canada to take up??????? We are importing the hate and violence and idiocy of the Middle East into this country. Why are we doing this? What is the benefit to Canada? Do we need these people? Hell no, but once a certain critical mass of MIddle Eastern “refugees” or immigrants come here, the process is unstoppable. We have to end this now!
Get these people out of the country. Impose a moratorium on all immigration from that part of the world. Shut down the religious schools.
England has gone into the the toilet because of these people. Brussels is now ruled by a muslim party. Are we so stupid that we cannot learn from seeing what has happened there?????
Please, can we have a politician who has the courage to speak out on these issues, or are they so fearful already of losing the “muslim vote” that they dare not….

  3. Multiculturalism means never having to apologize for tyrants, monsters or terrorism….as long as it’s deemed to come from a recognized minority it’s just classified as “alternative culture” and “freedom fighters”.
Frankly I hope some publicly spirited Canadians in Windsor are putting the paint together to remove this abomination in an improptu graffiti fest this evening.

  4. What the heck are they thinking in Windsor?? This outfit has been determined to be a terrorist group, so why would someone be allowed to put up a billboard advertising for them? I find this not only scary, but also a slap in the face to the ordinary Canadian, whether they be Muslim or otherwise. Our soldiers are in Afghanistan trying to get rid of terrorists & here they are actually advertising for a terrorist group in our own country!!!
    Shame, Shame!!!

  5. The hezzasshole terrorist are counting on the stupidity of Canada to openly recruit muslim youth to act as terrorist. You have a Canadian passport you can travel anywhere in the world. The hezzassholes know this. Those muslim mothers in Windsor fawning over the hezzassholes made it pretty clear they are willing to sacrafice their sons for terrorist activities.

  6. Windsor is the Socialist capital of Canada, need we say more?
With all the politicos pandering for votes anywhere they can get them don’t expect any action to be taken, we’ll see more of the same. Hell, some even march under their terrorist banner, we know who they are and we got the pictures.

  7. Since when did Windsor become the idiot capital of Canada? I thought that honor belonged to Toronto or Ottawa? And I was worried about being offensive with my “INFIDEL” bumper sticker(by the way, I removed it after an incident on the 401. Details at another time). I agree with the paint solution(paint balloons would do the job).

  8. Unbelievable that Canadians will simply allow this to happen.
Muslims are starting to exert their power over Canadians through fear and intimadation – exactly the method that is working so well for the Muslim community in Eurabia.
Civilization – it was nice while it lasted.

  9. Yep, those a$$hole$ are gonna start a revolution in Canada but it ain’t gonna be “us” against “them”, it’s gonna be “us” against “us”! That is, those of us that can THINK, vs. the left!
It saddens me very much to see what has become of Canadians since the regime of that useless pos, PET!
WANTED: One Canadian politician with balls and some voters with common sense. Appy within.

  10. The closest analogy that I can come up with would be that this is the equivalent of the Italians erecting a billboard in little Italy(my father was an Italian immigrant, so forget any racist labels), during WW2, propagandizing the locals for service in sabotage, etc. I do think that in 1941 someone would have went to jail, or maybe even been shot. Our troops are fighting Islamic extremism, and our enemy’s allies are advertising to Canadian youth. Something is very wrong here. GO ARMY!

  11. Our country is in danger from muslim terrorist, and all our msm can do is gloss over or ignore their propoganda on our soil to recruit terrorist.
I know I will go to jail, but if they put one up in my area I will burn it to the ground.

  12. The people who put this up clearly knew it would be inflammatory. They intentionally did this to gauge what the reaction would be. Based on that, we can expect:
-complaints and whining from CAIR-CAN (if this gets taken down ASAP)
-cries of racism (if it gets paintballed or otherwise destroyed)
-quiet satisfaction and plans for the next move (if it is ignored).
The only appropriate response, to my mind, is for the Prime Minister of Canada to order a group of Canadian soldiers to take down this sign, and deal with the debate that woudl ensure afterwards. We are at war with these people in Afghanistan. The difference between al-Qaida and Hezbollah is minimal, and they would happily cooperate when it comes to killing NATO troops (Sunni vs Shiite notwithstanding – I’m perfectly aware of that).
Windsor is probably furthest along the pathway to becoming Canada’s Malmo. It’s probably too far gone to reverse.

  13. Lori wrote: “Impose a moratorium on all immigration from that part of the world.”
Exactly! Until then let this billboard stay up as a monument to the stupidity of Canada’s immigration policies. Let the grim visage of the diaper-headed chief terror-monkey Nasrallah glower over the heads of the people of Windsor until they realize that the Muslim community their government so foolishly imported, openly and actively supports terrorism.
    Stop Muslim immigration now!

  14. Someone should put up a billboard of the Mohammad cartoons right beside it. Or a picture of Mohammad with his 9 year old wife in a passionate embrace.

  15. More pavilions at Folkfest? You’re not gonna believe the song and dance routine these guys put on. On the other hand, after six years, maybe you will. Islam is an adolescent power fantasy masquerading as a religion and an ugly barbarism that’s a flat out disgrace in the modern world. Worse, it’s a nauseating death cult. Tolerate that.

  16. Simeon – you are dead on!
They will send this picture back home to their co-terrorists, and say ” look how nice Canada is – they feed us, pay for our health care, let us send money back to fund Nasrallah, and even let us advertise for him. It’s better than the US! Better than Europe! Better than Australia! Come to Canada and we can forge our Islamic state here!!”
I posted this message on the Windsor Star site, and the editors of that paper took out the section on this being an invitation to more immigrants of this ilk coming here…
That’s exactly why this sign must be taken down immediately, and a public debate must begin.

  17. About this same time last year in Calgary…
Imam Alaa Elsayed addressed a so-called peace rally (actually a protest rally sponsored by Peace Calgary). The rally was approved by the City of Calgary and the City police were there. He was one of several speakers and was the last one to speak. (generally a place of honor). The theme seemed to be support the troops but not the mission – the usual approach from this group to make things seem a little more “palitable”
His speech was given at the base of the war memorial in downtown Calgary while at the same time he was facing a flag of Hezbollah (about 6’x 8′)held aloft by several young men. After his speech he mingled with these young men and other people in attendance. Several people proudly had their pictures taken in front of the Hezbollah flag. Nothing I know has ever came from this but at least it did not go without some counters by phone/in person and has not been repeated.
During the walking part of this rally – several city blocks – a young lady wrapped herself in the flag of Hezbollah – probably the same flag – and walked at the front end of the parade along with the Imam in his ceremonial white outfit.
The fallout was practically zero. The Calgary Herald lacked the guts to report on the issue. In fact, they printed a number of letters to the editor that even suggested that perhaps the Hezbolla thing didn’t even take place while not taking their own editorial position. The TV did not report on this although there were several commercial cameras around… perhaps a few seconds of some parts of the rally but certainly not the contentious area.
The City Police did nothing but take names of a few people who they felt may be against the parade, direct traffic, and were there if needed. Little if any reaction happened in the days/weeks following from the politicians – local, provincial, or federal (this happened in a conservative federal riding).
My take on this is that the radical elements have the money (local and offshore), the professional people (particularly lawyers/academics), and the jam to use the Human Rights Commissions and/or the legal system to pursue most anything they find the least bit offensive to them simply to rack up points with a win (not a hard to to do these days in the Human Rights Tribunals).
It is creating a climate of extreme political correctness as any counter to what they (the radical element) do may well have an individual/business/media outlet/whatever in front of a Human Rights Tribunal and very quickly. For the most part – who among the rest of us either needs this or has the money to continue a complaint if it moves on into a full blown court case. Soooo… here we are.
The federal politicians have created the legal framework that is slowly but surely being used by the minorities to gain power far beyond their numbers. Things will change when enough people have had enough but the prognosis is not very good given that politics is now in the hands of ethnic/minority block voting.
TO, Windsor, Calgary, Vancouver. wherever – one small community when it comes to the radical elements.
The Nazarene/Alliance communities are joining together in Calgary to build a school. To raise funds they are soliciting money for almost anything – like having your name above a door for $X. Contrast this with offshore millions being poured into religious buildings and private schools.
    Isn’t Official Multicultural wonderful?

  18. Sounds like a perfect opportunity for some paintball target practice. Big sign like that would be pretty hard to miss. Yup, get in some target practice and express an opinion at the same time.

  19. When the concept of “multiculturalism” was introduced to Canadians, most assumed it meant “more pavilions at Folkfest”.
Kate: Where did that wonderful hilarious quote come from?

  20. Not quite on topic, but what the hell: I’ll say it again:
The Toronto 17 case will just fade away …. (boys being boys, misguided youth .. whatever …)
The billboard: doesn’t actually mention Hezbollah by name I gather? And it does mention peace, etc. Loophole?

  21. – complaints and whining from CAIR-CAN (if this gets taken down ASAP)
-cries of racism (if it gets paintballed or otherwise destroyed)
-quiet satisfaction and plans for the next move (if it is ignored).

EXACTLY right. This is a TEST. The test will succeed.
If the voteprenuers (pols) won’t take on native Indians illegally occupying property they certainly won’t do anything about this.
    We are Europe.

  22. well at least if they all congregate in one place it simplifies the round-up or targeting procedures when the time comes.
    We sleep, they plan.
    We sleep, they probe.
Sooner or later they will run a test to gauge reaction.
This is just a small test.

  23. Hezbollah ( Party of God?) is a Shiite militant group in Lebanon.
Most westerners rightly recognize them as a terrorist organization.
Advertising as a peace group on a Windsor billboard is typical propaganda, and where better test the Canadian waters than in Windsor Ontario,
long the Canadian boar’s nest of leftist unions, closet communists, Libs and ND’s.
The only thing missing from the propaganda billboard of “peace” is the smirking countenance of ND Taliban Jack Layton and Lib Denis Coderre.

  24. This is the type of thing we get for 32 million dollars of taxpayer’s money – thanks for encouraging the terrorists Dolton McGuinty! They will vote Liberal for sure.

  25. My quote.
Posted by: Kate at August 12, 2007 1:31 PM
In Robert de Niro speak: Heh … you, you’re good, you’re good, you. Priceless. But I thought it was for greater restaurant choice (he said the morning after blowing $500 on dinner for four at Tojo’s in Vancouver: me, wife, two “children”. I would certainly not have gone along with this for mere pavillions at folkfests!

  26. CBS Windsor Office phone number is 519-253-6560.These are the guys who posted the billboard, leave then a message.

  27. OTOH, if we are against all book-banning (which I am) can we be for billboard-banning? Just wondering. I’m really not sure. Just attempting to be provocative on a slow Sunday.

  28. Simeon..we were posting comments at the same time…CBS? Is that Columbian Broadcasting System, the other American station?

  29. How many of you know that a few of the Toronto 17 have already been released on ‘peace bonds’? not many i’ll wager..
Rip this garbage down..there is going to be trouble all right..and it may come from sources that you would least expect..if there is going to be a riot one of these days, it will be a backlash against the complacency we have fostered in putting up with this kind of crap for 40 years

  30. Windsor is well on its way to becoming Canada’s first Dark Ages community.
In 1997 Windsor’s Muslim community came out of their closet, as it were, marching on City Hall chanting “death to Israel.” (I was there). The mayor hid.
In August, 2001, a Muslim named Ghasem Saalem decided to serve Allah by sacrificing a couple of Windsor dhimmis in his honour; he drove over a baby sitter and three young children, killing a four-year-old boy and maiming the others, then ramming a police cruiser.
The local media pretended the killing was a “random,” and “senseless.” Sure. Nothing to do with the “religion of peace.”
Two years ago a Windsor fundamentalist Islamist ordered the assassination of a political moderate in his mosque; he dispatched his teenage children to do the job, and they beheaded the man in his cab.
None of the news coverage ever mentions the religious aspect of the killing. Nor do they in the many “random” acts of violence in the downtown that seem to occur betweeen Muslims and, ahem, others.
Windsor is deluding itself. Both MPs for the city, who are NDP, already kowtow to the local fronts for global terrorism, as does the most powerful political force in the city, the CAW.
The billboard is just the latest flexing of Muslim muscle — a sign of what’s to come. But at least the mayor doesn’t hide from the angry Arabs any more: the new one is Lebanese.

  31. The billboard is just the latest flexing of Muslim muscle — a sign of what’s to come. But at least the mayor doesn’t hide from the angry Arabs any more: the new one is Lebanese.
They helped his election so don’t praise him .

  32. Hard to believe things could be so far gone in Windsor, but it does makes sense that it would be the first city to be lost in Canada.
The usual scenario next is “white” flight (although I suspect non-muslim Asians will flee too), increasing proportion of Muslim inhabitants, election of more Muslim city councillors to the point where Islamic views dominate the operation of the city, and eventual Islamification of the city through formal or informal tolerance of Sharia law.
Welcome to Kanakistan. Thank you Pierre Turdeau. Thank you multiculturalism. Thank you Liberal media. Thank you morally ambivalent educators, lawyers, and politicians of all parties. I hope you all live long enough to see what will happen to your children and your grandchildren in this “new Canada” you have created.

  33. This is the type of thing we get for 32 million dollars of taxpayer’s money – thanks for encouraging the terrorists Dolton McGuinty! They will vote Liberal for sure.
John Tory has promised to fund religious schools. (He denies he was born yesterday or has been in a coma for the past 6 years). There’s no choice in Ontario.

  34. I hope word of this gets out widely, including in the MSM.
Counterterrorists I know and advised of this agree it’s serious and that people must know.
The authorities must take swift action.
After all, Hezbollah’s banned. Yet here’s its leader’s ugly mug on a billboard…

  35. I am in complete and utter agreement with Lori et al.
    STOP MUSLIM IMMIGRATION NOW.
From everything I’ve seen most Muslims refuse to integrate – they seek only to expand their hate filled influence within our borders.
Our freedoms, our way of life is what Islam’s proponents seek to destroy. Canada has nothing to share with such a culture clearly in diametrical opposition. What sense does it make to bestow the prize of citizenship for the promise of such treachery?

  36. Hey Honey Pot: “Taliban Jack must be on holidays, and he is going to be pissed when he doesn’t see a picture of him bent over kissing Nasrallah’s ass.”
‘Saw Talitubby Jack in Toronto last night, gladhanding the thousands who showed up at Taste of the Danforth. He was standing about six feet above the crowd on a Greek restaurant kiosk, holding forth like Royalty, shaking anyone’s hand who’d go over and shake his (it is his riding, after all).
The only thing lacking to make his his performance perfectly political was bunting, a marching band, and the Canadian flag. As my husband said, “‘Talk about grandstanding.” We stayed as far to the right of him as possible…
‘Wonder how Canadians became so complacent? I know that PET brainwashed us all, but how was this possible? There’s got to be some underlying problem in Canadian society, something gone awry, something amiss, to have made us such useful idiots…

  37. I agree with the majority of the posts; it’s outrageous but as angry as I am, I know most of my idiot left-wing pro-appeasement dhimmi “let’s not offend” neighbors are going to vote Liberal, or even worse, NDP in the next election and it’ll just keep getting worse.
We have to wake up and start supporting parties and politicians who will have the cojones to actually listen and act on what the silent majority feel and wants or we’re in danger of becoming the silent minority and what chance will we have then of being heard ?

  38. The authorities must take swift action.

Thanks CS. I needed a good laugh today. “The authorities” … in scare quotes, you mean?
Whomever above: I knew that 2 of the Toronto 17 were released without being charged, but was not aware of other releases on peace bonds.
Repeating: (if I’m wrong I’ll hit the PalPal for another $100 over and above my intended donation level to sda): The Toronto 17 case will fade away … not sure how but we will probably discover that, er, there were problems with RCMP methodology (as per Air India). Muslim boys will be boys, youthful indiscretion, a big misunderstanding, whatever. SINKING FEELING.
You all heard that Brussels refused to grant approval for a peaceful 9/11 commemoration so as not to offend Muslim feelings (even tho muslims had nothing to do with it).
