Yesterday, Friday, Charles Adler ripped into Elizabeth May. Congratulations to Charles. He basically said that the Ms. May and Dion deal showed that they and they alone can determine how we should vote.

From the EDMONTON Sun:
War on Terror looks like a fraud
It’s becoming pretty clear that Iraq has been “pacified” solely for the purpose of economic aggression
Virtually ignored by mainstream media, the Americans showed their hand this year with the new Iraqi oil law, now making its way through Iraq’s parliament.
The law — which tens of thousands of Iraqis marched peacefully against on Monday when they called for the immediate expulsion of U.S. forces — would transfer control of one of the largest oil reserves on the planet from Baghdad to Big Oil, delivering “the prize” at last that Vice-President Dick Cheney famously talked about in 1999 when he was CEO of Halliburton. http://www.edmontonsun.com/Comment/2007/04/13/4002307-sun.html
re War on Terror Looks Like a Fraud:
John Gleeson, meet Kevin Potvin, and good bloody luck to both of you.
Saint June Callwood, “Canada’s Conscience,” died last evening (CBC news, 9:00 a.m.). I sincerely hope that her soul rests in peace, though I suspect that she’s got some spiritual work to do.
What a witch’s brew was her naive, wrongheaded, do-gooder political slate.
I once wrote her about her (non-liberating for females, especially baby females) pro-abortion stand and her support for Henry Morgentaler’s abortion clinics. She wrote back saying “you sound like someone I could talk to and respect,” but immediately cut me off at the knees by adding “but people like you” limit others’ choices and then added a whole string of stereotypical things that “people like you” think and do according to the liberal, activist mind.
I wrote back to challenge her straw creation of me, which she had gladly knocked over and verbally trampled on, and, of course, never heard from her again.
I believe she was a careless whirlwind activist, caught up in the winds of the current Zeitgeist, and propped up by her buds in the Canadian MSM (her husband, Trent Frayne, is one of Canada’s best-known sportswriters). She meant well, but we all know the destination of those whose lives are full of good but misguided intentions.
Attention. Garth Turner admits Dion lied and misled Canadians.
“Dion, and then Scott Reid on Duffy yesterday denied that this was a “backroom deal.
Well apparently Garth Turner has just admitted it was, and also that Dion lied to Canadians. This is from his blog today.
“On the way there, of course, I listened to reaction to the day’s big political announcement of the marriage of convenience between Stephane Dion and Elizabeth May. As you might imagine, I’d known about this for a while, and had mixed feelings about Dion’s decision not to run a candidate against May in her ballsy move to unhorse Peter Mackay”
It was not that long ago Dion stated on Duffy and Newman that they were not talking about any type of deal such as the one announced Thursday. Soooo?
And if Garth Turner knew about it for awhile it is in fact a backroom deal, no?

Kate,
I dropped into my local Barnes and Noble last night and what did I see?
Every beautiful table of new books, featured books, recommended books etc. featuring Left and Centre Left points of view on the War on Terror, the Bush Administration and anything else concerning the red State Blue State stuff.
I strolled to the information kiosk to ask the staffer why every well displayed and featured books represented one side of the political spectrum? The bookish staffer asked, “Which perspective?” To which I remarked that’s not the point and please answer the question.
She answered that the “corporate office” controlled the choices displayed and the the merchandising and, er, they just feature the newest releases.
My response was that, no, they weren’t ALL the newest books released but a convenient selection of them and mentioned that I’d take it up with the B&N Corporate office.
I’m sure I’m not the first to notice this South of the 49th parallel but that doesn’t make less egregious. I’d expect this in my former home town [aka as the centre of the Universe] where the book business was ruined and controlled by Chapters and a woman named Heather, who only wanted to import the Barnes and Noble business model but a Librano government said NO!
I was wondering if you could highlight this since “you’ve got the power” and I’m just a local Canadian ex-pat here in the heartland of Iowa and no one is going to notice me!

We, the Rutgers University Scarlet Knight basketball team, accept – accept – Mr. Imus’ apology,” Stringer read from a statement a day after the women met with Imus and his wife. ”
Whew…well that’s over with…now, when is the ACLU going to have all the rap and hip hop personalities fired who constantly use the “N” word?….or censor their rants where all women are refered to as “hos”, most people are “Mother FXXXers” and all white folks are “crackers, cracks, whitey, white bread sukkas, white trash, rednecka, cracker-assed honkies, and peckerwoods,”
Why wasn’t Al Sharpton fired when he made reference to “crackers and white trash or homos” in numerous public addresses?
Or Jessie Jackson when he refered to New York as “Hymie town” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hymie
…clearly PC flows one way…and until it becomes a double edged sword, it’s very hard to take it seriously.
No fondness from me for Don Imus but I hope he comes up smiling from this and instead of groveling before the face of PC hypocricy he exposes it publicly…PC is not a force to be feared but a force to be mocked!
“Big Oil”
Bobby, could you please define the term “big oil”. It seems to be a term that the left to vilify and I am not sure how you define “big oil”
I await your definition.
On the DiMay deal – I have to laugh at how May basically told the Green Party supporters and candidates to F.O. – She is saying – Vote for me in C.N, but everywhere else – vote Liberal.
How to be a leader there, Lizzy. I am sure everyone who is looking to the Green party to become a mainstream party is mighty pleased with you today.

Some doggerel for a lazy Saturday morning:
(sung to the tune of “This Land of Ours”, and with apologies to its creator)
I have welcomed the dawn from the fields of Saskatchewan,
Cursing the wheat pool and the god-damn CPR.
From there I was Alberta bound, sinking in oil-filled ground,
Bitching about the federals taking our dough.
From Vancouver Island to the Alberta highlands,
‘Cross the prairies and lakes to Ontario, my home.
From the sound of Mount Royal’s chimes, down to the Maritimes,
Something to whine about, this land of ours.
In the land of the Midnight Sun, I’ve seen Northern Lights shine,
Wondering why their vote counts ten times more than mine.
Down in BC’s interior, I can’t see crosses burn,
But the Libs told me, so I know it must be true.
In the Lower Mainland, I’m a stranger in my own land,
Can’t read the alphabet on any sign I see.
I guess multi-cult is just great, so why assimilate?
We all group together and find someone to hate.
From Vancouver Island to the Alberta highlands,
‘Cross the prairies and lakes to Ontario, my home.
From the sound of Mount Royal’s chimes, down to the Maritimes,
Something to whine about, this land of ours.
From there to Toronto, flying Mapleflot, don’t you know?
Grumpy stewardess dumps hot coffee in my lap.
Downtown I meet media whores and drunken latte bores,
Crying in their cups because Dion’s not the man.
Then it ‘s drive down the 401, Montreal’s native son,
Searching for poutine and a decent smoked meat meal.
But the Arabs protest today, can’t get there anyway,
Duceppe wears a hijab; his ears give him away.
From Vancouver Island to the Alberta highlands,
‘Cross the prairies and lakes to Ontario, my home.
From the sound of Mount Royal’s chimes, down to the Maritimes,
Something to whine about, this land of ours.
SoI find my way to Halifax, land of the pogey stamps,
Meeting all the people, who are nice as can be.
They cash government checks, watching their economy wreck,
Williams cries loudest while he shoos big oil away.
We used to be a great country, the True North strong and free,
Now we’re all groups of losers, screaming for some dough.
Guess I’ll just have to wait until Alberta separates,
‘Till then we’ll just have to mourn for this land of ours.
KevinB

This osmosis between the Liberals and the Greens was already underway before the May Day announcement yesterday.
It is well known that the Liberals are having trouble finding candidates.
Do you remember a few weeks ago when a well known Vancouver area Green Party member and enviro-activist who once rode a horse naked to protest something or other was enticed to run as a Liberal candidate?
I can’t find the article but it also stated that several other Green members were being wooed by the Liberals.
Our favourite nice comfy fur Liberal bribery agent and former NDP Premier turncoat Liberal/ Grewal hatchet man what’s his name was involved in the negotiations.
Speaking of Elizabeth May on yesterday’s Charles Adler radio show:
This bears repeating:
Adler asked May – “Why not just join the Liberal Party?”
May replied: “Oh, I would NEVER do that. I HATE the Liberal Party”.
So, Liberals – May HATES you. She is just having a little affair on the side with Dion your leader.
And according to Ed Broadbent she wanted a threesome with Jack Layton too calling up old friend Steven Lewis to arrange a date.
According to May though these are NOT “backroom deals” because these secret negotiations were made by TELEPHONE and not in a smoky backroom.
How’s that for semantics, Miss May. Learned well from your good pal Clinton “depends on your definition of s e x “?
Great column in today`s Toronto Sun by Lorrie Goldstein on the RedGreen Party.
I think the Liberals are being totally discriminatory in only backing down on running a candidate against the Green Party leader as a “courtesy”.
What about the leaders of the Rhinos, Marijuana, Communist, etc. (did I read somewhere that there are about 18 registered federal parties).
Fair is fair Mr. Dion. They ALL deserve not only for you to help them get seats in the HOC but to be democratic they should ALL be able to have their leader represented in leadership debates.
Does anybody want to help get this going? I am sure the Communist Party would just LOVE to debate Missy May about how the Greens have stolen their ideas.
I’ve been listening to a Nine Inch Nails song that has lyrics that remind me of Stephanie Dion. I can picture a FlashVideo production of Dion’s head on a dancing stick figure:
“Getting Smaller”
“Getting a little erratic here
And I don’t know who to trust
I guess they got a way of reading my mind
I guess I got to adjust
I’ve got my arms that flip flop flip flop flip
I got my head on spring
Well I thought I got you on my side
I haven’t got f**king anything
[Chorus:]
I’m just a face in the crowd
Nothing to worry about
Not even trying to stand out
I’m getting smaller and smaller and smaller
And I got nothing to say
It’s all been taken away
I just behave and obey
I’m afraid I am starting to fade away
Uh huh
I kind of see through the cracks when I press up on the wall
I’m not looking to stand up real high, I’d be happy to crawl
I think I’m losing my grip, but I can still make a fist
You know I still got my one good arm that I can beat
I can beat myself up with
[Chorus]
Hey, and for what it was worth
I really used to believe
That maybe there’s some great thing
That we could achieve
And now I can’t tell the difference
Or know what to feel
Between what I’ve been trying so hard to see
And what appears to be real
Fading away, fading away, fading away, fading away…
My world is getting smaller everyday
My world is getting smaller everyday
My world is getting smaller everyday
My world is getting smaller everyday
Hey hey hey hey, and that’s okay”
Heeheehee. 😀

Chuck Guite has appealed his conviction on five counts of fraud.
Well, if Chuck’s innocent, and at this point we have to take his word for it, who the heck should we look at next? Someone disappeared that money, and we were convinced it was Chuck, and a couple of other “bad apples” in the Liberal Party, who were responsible.
We were wrong. So, when the RCMP, protectors of the “Right”, restart their investigation, where should they start? Hmmmmmm.
“Dion’s decision not to run a candidate in Central Nova could end up boosting the Conservative vote. And May’s cosiness with the Liberals could actually firm up the NDP vote not only in that particular riding but also elsewhere in Canada.” Chantal Hebert, Star.

I do not for a minute believe that the carpenters, construction workers, auto workers, foresters, electricians, ect, of Canada are ‘on-side’ with the Liberal-latte/basket weaving crowd.
Chantal’s “firming-up the NDP vote” may just well be the biggest understatement in Canada’s history. (Witness Buzz in knots over Kyoto)

Dion-May-Duo to steal portion of Rhinocerous platform.
“Man should not pump out anymore oil. The Earth’s bearings need the lub job”.
Another big question:
WHO wrote the 11th hour 130 “Liberal” amendments to the Clean Air Act?
TIP: Missy May a few weeks earlier had said the Clean Air Act was a farce, not needed as the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA) could do the same job and it was all just a PR scam by the Conservatives to “pretned” they cared about the environment.
Then the Liberals whipped out 130 Amendments to the Clean Air Act and Missy May declared that the Clean Air Act was now “magnificant” and Dion was “magnificant” too.
Then within less than an hour of the Liberals tabling the amendments the Sierra Club (May’s old employer) had a news release dripping with praise and platitudes for the “Liberal” amendments.
And then the Sierra Club strange fellow spokeperson was on all the news channels praising same.
S00000- unless you really think McGuinty and Dion and the other Liberals claiming ownership of these “amendments” are closet environmental scientists then the question WHO wrote them must be answered.
The “Liberals” plagiarize the Greens and Sierra Club radical Kyoto carbon tax schemes (smog and real air pollution chapters were ignored) and VOILA – May does not tell but extracts nice little paybacks from Dion so he can save face from yet ANOTHER plagiarized “green plan”.
(during his leadership one of Dion’s was an exact plagiarism from Suzuki who admitted it but since there have now been about 7 or 8 “Dion” Green plans one wonders if he is seriously committed to any of them – just looking for something that sticks in the polls, gives a good speech slogan and gives the Liberals POWER as wel all know they don’t implement so called election platforms anyways.
My theory anyways. What do you think?
Al Gore silent in Saskatchewan with 200,000 tax dollars.
How to “raise awareness” via a media Ban, The Goracle silent in Saskatchewan,
Why if you want to raise awareness about global warming would you not want recording devices present? http://marginalizedactiondinosaur.net/?p=124
Now how many families spent their entire tax income to cover the bill for that?
If they pay 10,000 each that’s 20 people working all year paying provincial taxes, not for health care, not for roads but just for a guy who doesn’t want cameras present because his shoddy scare mongering is factually challenged?
Wonder how they feel about that.
Good thing Saskatchewan has too many hospital personell.
So Saskatchewan Liberal candidate and chief advocate of a divided right in Canada to keep the Liberals in power, David Orchard, is tyhe “power” behind this?
No backroom deals Elizabeth May? Revenge politics rather than what is good for Canada or to ‘SAVE the PLANET?
Miss May shreiks that she wants to do politics a NEW way – instead she has stooped to the lowest common denominator of old style politics.
The move was a reprisal, May says
Apr 14, 2007 02:30 AM
OTTAWA–Green Party Leader Elizabeth May has vowed to make Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay pay for a controversial decision to merge the former Progressive Conservative party with the right-wing Canadian Alliance.
May told the Star yesterday she plans to build a political coalition that will punish MacKay for breaking a promise not to sell out the old PC party, which he merged with the Canadian Alliance in 2003.
May will face off against MacKay, the MP from Central Nova since 1997, in the next federal election.
MacKay’s decision to merge the PC party with the Canadian Alliance was controversial because of a gentleman’s agreement that MacKay made with fellow leadership candidate David Orchard in the 2003 campaign to run the party. Third-place candidate Orchard backed MacKay after receiving a promise not to join with Stephen Harper’s party.
Orchard later joined the Liberal party and backed Stéphane Dion’s leadership bid.

Two Montreal men have been accused of a raft of attacks against the city’s Jewish community, including the firebombing of a Snowdon community centre that police are treating as a hate-related crime…
The pair were arrested Thursday morning and questioned. The investigation did not turn up links to any terrorist or hate groups, said Constable Christian Emond, of the Montreal police fraud and arson squad.
“What we can say is that the crimes are hate-related, however,” he said. http://tinyurl.com/3cf589
A relief to hear these two gentleman are simply freelance haters…
The Canada Branch Office of CAIR is making the appropriate noises.
Right on Lorraine! Over at Puffy’s, Scott Reid took a slapping down on this one yesterday from Tim Powers and Ed Broadbent, who did most of the damage with his May brokerage revelations. I haven’t seen anyone taken down so bad since Alexa McDonough and Pat Carney nailed Belinda Stronach during last election.
I like spin of Coyne and Hebert on this one:
NDP real target, trying to force their hand in coalition of the Kyoto left, or strip off their vote. Dion has given up vote rich centre for enviro left. Wow!! What a hugely strategic risk; and, if the case, a grievous error in judgement. That’s fine.
Dion is trying to mobilize voters who would never vote Conservative. What’s up with that.
Jack Layton has been handed a gift; Dion’s environmental record is now front and centre, given that is his overriding issue for next election (if he makes it that far).
Additions to the Dream Team:
-May-moving into moonbat territory as we speak, with ill advised admission of personal agenda;
-Orchard-prominent moonbat; love to hear what my Sask friends think of this fellow; and
-Turner-author, moonbat, loose cannon (no ammo).
NDP only party with chance to unseat Elmer’s boy in Central Nova, and slim at best.
Poor Libs. Looks like they’ll have to call the A-Team.
May said that Dion earned her undying respect and admiration at 3:00 in the morning at the Kyoto Conference in November 2005 which Dion, as Environment Minister chaired.
She said that Dion “stared down the Russians”. oh WOW! Picture that. At 3:00 in the morning Dion, Missy Lizzy and the Russians in a staring contest. Now THAT would make any enviro-woman wacko swoon I tell ya.
This conference cost taxpayers $50 MILLION. Dion says because of this conference he is now known all over the world for being a Green Hero and even got an award in Europe for this.
Yeah Dion. If someone gave me $50 million to hold a big enviro party love-in I would be a hero too.
And, what came of the conference? Did “staring down the Russians” mean Canadians got their money’s worth? The Russians STILL want billions of OUR dollars in “Kyoto” credits and YOU want us to give it to them.
So – tell us again WHO really won this staring contest?
And, can Canadians ever ever trust you to protect us from the loonies of the world or the Russians.
Lorraine – again, an excellent post on where Dion is getting his latest ‘Environmental Plan’ – is he up to number 7 or is it 8? From the Sierra Club, May’s old employer. Thanks, thanks.
Dion doesn’t give a damn about the environment; he doesn’t know anything about environmental issues. He has only one agenda – power . And how he gets that power is irrelevant to him – he has no integrity, no ethics, and no policies for Canada. Just a one-issue guy – Power.
The Red-Green Party is trying to take votes away from the NDP, which, to give it credit, does actually believe in environmental policies, albeit those that are operated within its authoritarian top-down big government mode.
May has her own agenda. The fact that she approached the NDP party to achieve the same goal, a riding without leftist opposition to her, shows that she’s indifferent to whether that collaboration is with the Liberals or with the NDP. All she wants is a strategy to get her into the House of Commons, where she will outscreech Garth Turner in her self-defined, self-assigned certainty of her own superiority in all issues.
What does Dion want? He also wants Power. He wants to take votes away from the NDP party, so, he hopes May will do just that. AND, by gathering ‘environmentalists’ to his fold, he thinks that the NDPers will flock to him.
BUT – doesn’t this show, as many have already said, that the Liberals don’t have an environmental program, only a political agenda. And therefore, they’ll steal other’s environmental agendas – for their political purposes. Of course, if they were ever in power, as usual, they wouldn’t implement them. That’s not their agenda, after all. The Liberals have one and only one agenda. Power.
Again, Lorraine- thanks for your insights.
Remember – the powers that be BEHIND the Liberal Party are the fathers of “Kyoto” wealth transfer and one world rule by fear.
Maurice Strong, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin, PowerCorp, the Desmarais, etc. have invested heavily in China and also have controlled the Canadian Investment Development Agency (CIDA) through the very corrupt United Nations for nearly 40 years.
“Kyoto” is the culmination of a long term strategy to dismantle the industrialized countries and “share the wealth” with the emmerging countries – many of w3hich are communist (China, Cuba, Venezuala, North Korea).
These Liberal power brokers have immense capital invested in these communist countries and unknown to the stupid Canadian taxpayers we have been funneling wealth to them for years.
CIDA, the Canadian Wheat Board, secret Trusts, etc.
Now the Kyoto scheme (scare the world about the weather changing which has changed for milleniums but oh well a darn good PR scare job will fool the sheeples) is the biggest and most despicable and, I might say, clever world wide scam that has ever been perpetrated.
WHO wrote and filmed the “Gore” film?
WHO controls the United nations International Panels?
WHO controls the powers behind the Canadian Liberal Party? WHO controls the majority of the fear mongering so called environmental groups? WHO is behind the world wide Green Party movement (comparative to Hitler’s use Mother Earth agenda to mobilize large numbers of people)?
Moreso -WHO can fight this and stand up to it? There is no large cohesive group to counter the hype and when they try they are “deniers” and cast into disrepute.
They are even in our schools playing Gore’s film and brainwashing our children.
Fighting the Kyoto scam is like fighting world wide organized crime, radical cultists, and world domination bad guys all at the same time. Can we win?

Lorraine asks, “Moreso -WHO can fight this and stand up to it? There is no large cohesive group to counter the hype and when they try they are ‘deniers’ and cast into disrepute.”
The only power that can combat this kind of sleaze and hype is spiritual power, the kind that aided Daniel in the lions’ den, the kind of power that too many enlightened, sophisticated, and post-modern people suggest is simply mythical.
If you’ve never experienced the power of the Risen Lord you’ll pooh pooh what I’ve just said. (Check out, however, Solzhenitsen’s 1978 Harvard address.)
But if you’ve ever experienced being saved from the lions or the shysters or your own stupidity by the power of the Resurrection of a man named Jesus, you’ll know that the sleazebags and cowards cower at the sound of His name: “Every knee shall bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
That’s the power that “can fight this and stand up to it.”
Happy Easter, everybody! Easter lasts for 50 days: ‘lots of time to celebrate!
My 18 yr old granddaughter had to watch gores movie last week, and several weeks ago had to listen to a Suzuki lecture. She said the movie scared her. If it scares someone that age, what does it do to the elementary kids who are forced to watch it. “Putting hundreds of thousands out of work to send money to China is stupid.” It sure is, Mary T. Especially when the money being spent to China is going to make the Desmarais family, Chretien, Strong, Martin, and Suzuki richer than they already are.

Greens should thank Dion for donation
$18,000 a year for a possible four years – Stephane Dion would “contribute” $72,443.00 to the Green Party.

Hmmmmmm.

-May-moving into moonbat territory as we speak, with ill advised admission of personal agenda;

The entire group was so depressed after the movie and she decided that He is not going to ruin my life, I refuse to believe things are that bad. A better plan would be to work for clean air and water, less pollution re garbage being tossed etc. Putting hundreds of thousands out of work to send money to China is stupid. “Putting hundreds of thousands out of work to send money to China is stupid.” It sure is, Mary T. Especially when the money being spent to China is going to make the Desmarais family, Chretien, Strong, Martin, and Suzuki richer than they already are.
