  1. I just think it is absolutely amazing that even on the very home page of David Suzuki, the Canadian public has spoken and has rejected his brand of insanity.
I have a screenshot of a recent poll showing that a majority of people not only think Kyoto targets can’t be met.. but we shouldn’t even bother trying.
Clearly he has missed the mark and should retire back to breeding fruit flies.

  2. “Thanks for taking this poll ”
Can Canada meet its Kyoto target?
Yes, and we can do it through domestic reductions. 1778 (36.94%)
Yes, but we’ll have to buy some international credits to do it. 359 (7.46%)
No, but we should still try. 676 (14.05%)
No, so we shouldn’t bother trying. 2000 (41.55%)
Poll? I thought it was a sobriety test!

  3. When Davie was on Nature of Things, he got to spout all he wanted to without ever having to face those he slagged. Now that he’s entered the public forum of the internet, things are a bit different I see … he is no longer insulated. No wonder he’d rather rant at school kids … they have to sit like good little posts and listen while he pushes his poison.

  4. Mods…I think you will need to clean up the count and only leave the serious commentary (like mine)
    Good work everyone!!!!

  5. Can Canada meet its Kyoto target?
Yes, and we can do it through domestic reductions. 1778 (35.75%)
Yes, but we’ll have to buy some international credits to do it. 359 (7.22%)
No, but we should still try. 678 (13.63%)
No, so we shouldn’t bother trying. 2158 (43.39%)

  6. Yes – 2,138 Votes – 42.12%
    No – 2,938 Votes – 57.88%
    5,076 Votes Total

  7. 2301
As a side note i was quite surprised, Susuki praised Harper on Duffy today! What`s his angle?

  8. Sure … after blasting Harper infront of school kids and posting Little Miss Apocalypse on his site. He must be feeling uncomfortable about the pushback.

  9. AlW – Suzuki’s probably worried about losing his Foundation’s charitable status. That was a real danger if he kept ranting the way he was earlier.

  10. The more important question is ” Can the Suzuki foundation meet it’s fundraising targets”.Not without gov’t help.Go Steven,go.

  11. Well, at 11:03 am of March 3rd, the No votes are 72.56% (7863) and the yes votes are only 17.09% 1852).

  12. Wow, could this be a precursor of the next election- greenies and dippers too lazy to get the vote out-I can only hope.
More seriously, and only if you have a strong stomach, go read the comments accompanying the tour. I extract this for your reading displeasure.
    “Two heroes at Mile Zero
It was fitting that David ended the cross-Canada portion of the tour at the Terry Fox monument at Mile Zero in Victoria.
Two great Canadians, both beacons of hope and inspiration to average folks. Here, at the far end of the Trans-Canada Highway, after so many thousands of kilometers, he still looks pumped and ready to give his speech one more time. And with the patience of Gandhi”
Absolutely sickening, I don’t usually subscribe to hero worship but I believe Terry Fox’s attempt to run across Canada as truly heroic. Suzuki sat on his butt in a luxury tour bus to cross Canada, he is not fit to carry Terry Fox’s runners.
The association with Ghandi’s name may be more apt, I can visualize Suzuki sitting in a diaper at his Gulf Island home.
