There IS a strong correlation between more money and better schools. Isaac Newton was educated in a state-of-the-art school with funded field trips, a low teacher-to-pupil ratio, plentiful art supplies….oh wait, sorry, I’m thinking of “Carrot Top”.

I scored 1, the grammies. More importantly my wife got 21/2 on the test which follows, she missed north by a bit. A lot to be said for marrying well.
I see my post got deleted, so PC reigns even on a so called conservative blog, and free speech be damned. I am ex military and spend 18 years ready to defend that and will still defend it so please tell me just what it was that annoyed you. As I said I am 66 and am not prepared to put up with all your PC!!

Oh, and the spending vs test score inverse-correlation? To be fair, there’s a lot of other factors that tend to level both cost and accomplishment: cost of living, state urban/rural population ratio, family situation, citizen/immigrant status, etc. Level somewaht, but not erase. The central point remains – administratively, schools “teach” to the mean, losing students on both sides of the curve. And as for “teaching”? My pardon…the purpose of schools, particularly in our present era, is a combination of daycare and indoctrination in state-sanctioned activities and contemporary fads. Any real education happens in spite of this, and occurs because many teachers do really care and are themseves somewhat educated.
I had to google Anna Nicole Smith when the papers went nuts. This happens when you go serious geek for two decades and don’t even own a TV

I don’t get it. I read all the questions. Read all the comments. Then went back and read all the questions again. I made a bunch of wild ass guess answers but I can’t find the correct answers to see if I got any right.
