When you click the link the page opens to ask you to indicate the blog you found linked to the survey. Click the drop down arrow and select Small Dead Animals. Elementary, my dear Watson.

As to whether or not I voted in the last election, I clicked on “I can’t recall.” Duh!!! I’d never NOT vote, so that was hard, but how could I say “Yes” or “No” when later I have to say where I live if I don’t live in the U.S.?

They asked for geographical data. I’m hoping they do it right and let you sort the results however you wish.
Interesting they asked specifically how you felt about Hispanics but not any other ethnic groups. I’m assuming it’s tied to (US)immigration, though they didn’t bother to ask any questions about that.
That was fun, and I answered all the political questions with the right answers. Didn’t give the msm or journalists a good mark.
I haven’t looked at the reader questions, but for the author survey I just “substituted” the closest aproximate where necessary. ie, when asked to desribe myself as Republican, Libertarian, etc.

OMG, did someone tell Howard Dean he was speaking at a LIBERAL convention? The whole “neighbors, partners, communities” schtick goes over like a lead balloon to this crowd. Telling these assembled carpetbaggers to get out and work to win over one voter at a time is like telling your dog to calculate your income taxes.

Taking the survey was easy — until the U. Wisc’s server conked out and re-started. Hopefully I got a completed survey in.
I had to be a little creative and sort of say I did vote, with the equivalent Canadian elections in mind, otherwise us Canucks might affect the results, making the stay-at-home non-voter numbers too high. You better believe I vote every chance I get.
My minimum fee for filling in any survey is $20 cash in hand up front.
I*ll waive it this time because in reality The SDA site has provided us an ideal venue to exchange ideas and news.
The entertainment value is worth hundreds and I am not alone in that opinion, certainly.
If we had to pay for the time in a movie theatre that was enjoyed here, we could easily be in debt.

Gave ZEROs for Democratic Party, journalists, MSM publications. If the poll had allowed negative numbers, I’d have given Absolute Zero to these three groups of losers.(negative 412 fahrenheit, or something near there? but I digress…)
BTW, I gave only a 75 on the how much do I favor Republican Party question. When the Republicans in Congress get over their severe pork barrel addiction (as bad as the Dems!) and when the Bush Administration and the Republicans in Congress get serious about controlling the US-Mexican border, I’ll give them a much better rating.
As it is, I held my nose and voted Republican in the recent election. The nose-holding was due to the above two cited reasons. I didn’t feel this way during the Reagan Administration…and I feel sad that I had to vote Republican feeling the Party is only the lesser of the evils. (Albeit much the lesser.)
(BTW, if I were Harper and the US diplomats started talking about wanting Canada to do more about border security, I’d say “When you start taking your own SOUTHERN border seriously, give me a call.”
In this American’s opinion, all the US border and internal security measures implemented since 9/11 don’t mean much when for political and economic reasons, the US goverment REFUSES to effectively control the US-Mexican border.)

Yes it was long.I had no problem with the US political questions and I’m from Newfoundland. Re the voting questions, The stats will negate your response unless you didn’t answer what country you are from. If you gave your e-mail addy you will probably be getting a synopsis of the poll.
I gave -50 for the unions question.

In the year I’ve been following your blog I’ve found it to be a breath of fresh air…..in contrast that poll reeked of insincerity.
Incidently…I was caller “Lloyd” who got on to Cristie Clark after Kinsella took that cheap shot at you. I am a fan of your honesty and I especially like it when you take down those phoney CTV polls. This one is no different from those…well it was considerably longer.

None of that gives you the right to come onto my blog and declare what is and isn’t “appropriate” content. No one forced you to take the survey, no one forces you to click on a link. You’re supposed to be a conservative. Take some personal responsibility.
I spent a good portion of last evening cleaning crap out of these comments from people who cannot read the rules of this blog – not to mention, decency. Your comment came at _exactly_ the wrong time.
There are over 12,000 visits a day to SDA at the moment. Don’t presume to speak for anyone but yourself. Your comment was a personal insult, and you directed it at me. You wouldn’t walk into my home and say such a thing – what makes you think you should be offered the privilege of doing so here?

Well I took the survey but don’t know what the whoopla was all about. There are some silly questions (in my opinion) but there was always a positive and negative response. No “Answer yes or no, have you stopped beating your wife yet?” questions.
As far as I can tell, Kate has yet to force anyone to go to any link or take any survey, test or quiz. As an addicted reader I have read a lot of personal slams and verbal attacks posted in the comments before she ever gets in to edit or ban. The lady has a lot more patience than me.
For those who have a problem with SDA there is a fix. Click START… RUN and type in CMD and hit enter. type in FORMAT C: and hit enter. voila! problem solved.
To address some of the comments – I have had previous correspondance with the individual who is conducting it. He is in academia, blog friendly, and the interest is genuine.
