Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

A couple of thoughts.
True to farm folk form Mr. Miller was polite and to the point as well as demonstrating a stoic resilience and optimism for the future. God Bless you and your family in the future struggle to find a “new normal”.
My 14 year old son and I were working together today with the radio close at hand. We stopped work and listened to the news conference together.
The emotion in Mr. Millers voice brought a tear to my eye and in the presense of one of my sons drove home just how precious my children are to me and how devastating to entire families pedophiles are.
We quit early and went to DQ. There will be other days to work.
Today I’m just thankfull mine are safe.
Some major changes need to be made to the justice system, but once again that’s for another day.
Thank God that little boy is back where he belongs.

I’m certainly glad both boys are safe, but by listening in, aren’t we engaging in the same type of voyeurism we decried when dead soldiers were brought back from Afghanistan?
I hope the family is left alone to rebuild their lives, and we keep our prying eyes away.
