Taking Air Guitar

To a whole new level;

The Straits Times said Li Xiao Meng, a 16-year-old from China who was studying at Singapore’s Hua Business School, was a keen musician who liked to jump up and down while playing his guitar in his hostel room.
“But on November 17 he took things a bit too far,” the newspaper said, reporting on a coroner’s court findings.

To say the least.

  1. That’s rather extreme. My worst (well, almost) was taking out the kitchen light doing a Pete Townshend while watching the simulcast of The Who’s first last concert.

  2. Any guesses as to what song he was doing? “Fly Like an Eagle” or was he too young for that?

  3. Who is that demented fool Duke? Is he in Canada? In one of our cities? Does he play a guitar? I KNOW that he does not smoke cigarettes if he is in Canada because he would be in the jailhouse if he smoked cigarettes in an PUBLC space. Anywhere. In Canada. That said, if he DOES play a musical insterment or if he does do anything in bed (and especially if he ‘sneaks’ cigarettes IN that room) we could arrange a ‘bouncing bed’ for him like the one that wild sixteen year old had provided.
Deep down I think that sixteen year old was smoking cigarettes and he committed suicide because he felt so ashamed of his damning pracitise. The gument hopes to convince all cigarette smokers to do the same as this young man – die and save health care some money (for the rightous good lemmings er…people).
And you thought your link was off topic!!

  4. Duke: unbelievable alright? Who is he? A rap “artist”?
    Two comments:
I’m totally against hate speech laws (criminalizing thought).
But this is incitement to commit murder: truly a criminal act. I’m definitely for incitement laws strictly enforced.
But he’s a “person of colour” and (I’m guesing) some kind of minor celebrity, so he’s off limits.

  5. I’m sure he was playing the Who’s Pinball Wizard. Boy sure plays a mean (and last) pin ball.

  6. Jema54: Well you’re a bit spelling-challenged, but I DO like your spelling for government: Gument. Sounds like a deep southern dude. Think I’ll use that. Amsuing comment on the cigarettes: in Vancouver it has been proposed (and may be already in place) to ban smoking even on local beaches. Restaurant patios for sure!

  7. Hey, you guys, I’m flattered. You went pretty easy on me this time.
That’s a shame about the poor kid. Intensity is such an essential part of a young git box player these days. Can you fathom some of the young *talent* on Letterman lately? Ouch!
Off topic, but if you are a crook and want to do business on the net, there is a service who will sell you a trojan key logger kit and change code for you when it gets detected.
Price is about $990, but don’t worry. Sophos has closed in on the server and an end to the service should be near.
