As the present Liberal government of Canada rushes to increase immigration into this country to provide cheap labour it can only be hoped that the present riots in Britain, France, Denmark, Germany, etc will be seen for what they are. These riots are the result of bringing too many immigrants from third world countries into first world societies. New immigrants require two or three generations of living in their chosen society to acclimatize. They need this period to learn and understand the culture that has evolved in Western society over the last thousand years. In our tolerant western culture when we allow too many new voices dictate how we should live we allow them to import the very causes of what brought them here in the first place. We are seeing in Europe the future of Canada in perhaps as little as five to ten years. Is this the future that we will leave our children? The strategy of the Trudeau era Liberals of increasing immigration to create an economic boom in this country may have been a short term success, in the seventies and eighties, however history may prove it an unmitigated disaster.

    Put it in relation to other economies and how can you say Canada has “boomed”? Our standard of living has fallen in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Government takes more, leaves us less. Growth rate has been paltry at best.
    Immigration is important and essential. To have too many immigrants then to tell them not to integrate has been the culprit. Multiculturalism rears its head again.
    Can Trudeau never just lay in his grave? Must he keep bothering us long after he has died?

  7. I don’t think the problem is too much immigration. The difficulty arises from structural problems once they get here, including high minimum-wage laws (that take away entry level opportunities), rigid labour laws (that restrict entry to the guilds–try to get qualified as a teacher in Ontario: the unions keep up the barriers), promotion of multi-culturalism (i.e., not enough emphasis on integration) and failure to police multicultural “enclaves” effectively.
    Toronto is developing a Jamaican problem similar to the an Arab/Muslim problem. Commentators note that Toronto is segregating into ethnic neighbourhoods. Evebnts like Caribanna are becoming no-go zones for the police. (We won’t go anymore.) With policies such as these, the riots will come.

    Boaz Ganor, founder of the International Policy Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Israel, told a Toronto luncheon yesterday Islamic radicals like Osama bin laden consider Canada “a very soft belly.”
    “Canada, given its diversity and sense of neutrality, is, if not a primary target, a very worthy target,” Dr. Ganor said. “From [the terrorists’] point of view, Canada is one of the pillars of Western society. Canada is regarded as a close ally of the United States. Canada has played an active role in Afghanistan and in the coalition against terrorism.”

  11. Salvation in the far east? One country that is seemingly embracing the values and lifestyle of America is China (both good and bad). Another emerging country that is already very western is India. It’s not such a stretch to imagine a Pacific trading block containing these strong industrial newbies aligned with North America.
    The result of such a trading block is that immigration to North America will be distinctively more asian and east indian than in other parts of the western world. Given the pre-acceptance of many important aspects of western culture by asians and east indians, those immigrating populations will blunt somewhat the effect of non-integrating muslims coming to our continent.
    Don’t be too afraid of immigration. We just have to make sure that the “friends” to our way of life far out number the “foes”.

    I think I’d be depressed enough to burn a renault too if I had no decent education (except knowing every word in the Koran backwards and forwards), no good job prospects, shorter and colder days, concrete furniture in the housing project flat where I live, being continually shunned by french non-ethnics…maybe the people are be happier in Kashechewan where it’s only the water and housing that’s bad.

    Liberals will not do what in necessary to save themselves. So say good-bye to Europe now while you can. The vortex they now find themselves in is growing and speeding up. Down they will go and a real quagmire will be visible for the rest of the century.

    Muslim groups in France stop rioting and apologize to authorities.
    They went on to offer help in cleaning up the mess that they made over the past week of smashing and burning.
    They also requested some help in organizing sport teams so they could spent some their idle time playing soccer, and foot ball.
    They claim that boredom and lots of spare time was behind this mindless outbreak and in future they will develop neighborhood yout clubs with a library and some computers so they can get information and perhaps find some courses or schools to attend to make themselves a bit more employable .. like their East Indian and Sikh counter parts.
    France has sighed in relief. For a time they thought that this was going to be the beginning of a civil war pitting the islamists (all 33 million in Europe at this time) against the authorities.
    What do you think the odds are of that story??
    Well that’s what the liberal compassionites think will happen if we just bend over far enough and kiss their brown hairy asses long enough and hard enough.
    Well kiss away suckers, when you come for air they will slit your throat …. my money on the shooter not the kissers. We will now see if the Europeans are capable of learning some new tricks. This rioting stuff is likely to become the norm.

These fine young men are simply being over exuberant in expressing their joy that France stayed out of the Iraq debacle, and thus spared her from the ravages of the misunderstood and oppressed radical Islamofascists.     Just as the 60s transformed America’s social and political landscape, Jihad activism has caught the febrile imagination of Muslim youth around the world.
    The 60s generation rebelled against everything their parents’ generation stood for- they eschewed the mainstream, were radical, wanted a revolution of sorts, wanted society to transform. They latched onto every social and political cause. Vietnam galvanized and radicalized a generation of Americans like nothing else could. The Blacks struggle for equality was also another rallying point. The assassinations of the two Kennedy’s, Martin Luther King and a slew of others convinced America’s lost and deeply disturbed generation that they had to do something. Demonstrations, rallies, fleeing into communes in remote mountains in California. Others took refuge in the poetry of Alan Ginsburg, the music of Bob Dylan and scores of literature.
    Hundreds of thousands fled the draft, some landed in Canada, others on the beaches of Goa where they hoped to find the elusive peace they craved by inhaling marijuana.
    Now juxtapose that era with the era of Islamic terror now sweeping the world.
    This is the moment of a Muslim youth revolution of sorts. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, they do not have the liberty to indulge in alcohol which would have had a sobering effect or rather a dampening effect on their urge to blow themselves up. Angry Americans in the 60s calmed themselves by shooting up drugs or inhaling them or imbibing vast quantities of alcohol.
    The angry Muslim decides to strap up and blow himself up in the middle of some happy or innocent people.
    The objective of the Muslim young man is the transformation of society. To them the world led by America is Godless and needs to return to an era of sobriety, chastity and reverence to Allah.
    With missionary zeal that beats the Crusaders, the movement is flourishing, primarlily because large swaths of Muslims around the world give silent approval and tacit encouragement.
    The 60s generation too wanted to transform the materialistic society of their parents’ but the movement was tempered and not allowed to go too far because of law enforcement, the FBI and the fact that most Americans would never tolerate wanton violence and destruction for too long. Yes the 60s revolution was often violent and destructive and history will show, but it fizzled out in the face of equally strong reaction from mainstream America.
    Unfortunately, mainstream Muslims are either unable or unwilling to take a stand against wanton terrorism. While many of the terrorists’ objectives may resonate on the Arab street, there is muted silence on the means used to achieve these objectives. The silence and the unwillingness of mainstream Muslim societies to take a stand will one day consume them before it is ever allowed to consume the West.
    I do hope that Islamic terrorism fizzles out and young Muslims around the world find the peace that young Americans in the 60s looked for. Some found it, others didn’t. But the 60s social and political revolution ended positively and a lot of change occured for the better.
    Islamic terrorists also have an objective to overthrow their own governments and transform them into a Caliphate. But in order to overthrow their own governments they have to intimidate the Western powers, chiefly America. America and the rest of the world find their economies tied to reliable energy which lies in the lands terrorists hope to control.
    So with the stakes too high, America is destined to be the lightening rod for Islamic terror. And that only fuels the anger of Islamic youth who see America attempting to control their destiny.
    The only thing in common between the 60s revolution and Islamic Jihad revolution now sweeping Muslim societies in every country they live in is their deep hatred for the American establishment.

    I am an immigrant in Canada and I am convinced increasing the number of immigrants, especially devout Muslim ones is a prescription for disaster.
    How on earth can they assimilate in a society which is everything Islam says to steer clear of- free speach, women emancipation, alcohol, dressing for the season, mingling of the sexes.
    Sex.
    They live in suspicion of everything and everyone non-Muslim and believe themselves to be more superior to other religious groups.

    You may be right on, but my theory is that they are embarrassed as a culture to have achieved so little since discovering the use of the “0” (zero) in mathematics and for developing a modern numbering system. (the same one we use now) Since then it’s pretty much been Camel shit.
    On the other hand we have dorks in their dad’s garages inventing new technologies that will eventuall allow us to explore space.
    Plus our chicks are hot and they “do it!”
    We also have what you outlined .. good dope, booze, music, dance, a dizzying array of consumer goods to compliment our comfort and luxury. And you don’t need to be a member of the ruling class to have all this. Althought it’s getting that way in Canada.
    Perhaps this whole terrorist thing is just a big self-esteem problem. I do believe instead of sending the marines over there we might do better to send all our unionized teachers who have been teaching and indocrinating our jangled kids with phoney self-esteem bullshit for the past twenty years and they are now as docile as anyone could imagine. Don’t even play sports anymore. In fact you can barely pull that bag o chips out of their hands long enough to get them to change channels.
    So, a little trumped up self-esteem, some junk food, maybe a few video games .. and presto, world class slugs. Nothing to fear there. And no hurt feelings.
    SOMA works! Just look at our state of govenment. Do you think a wide-awake, thinking people would vote for any of them.
    But I digress. Just a bit of humor here today … after all it’s Saturday and it’s raining on the Island …. again!

    PARIS, Sept 27 (AFP) – An Algerian Islamist organisation, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC), has issued a call for action against France which it describes as “enemy number one”, intelligence officials said Tuesday.
    “The only way to teach France to behave is jihad and the Islamic martyr,” the group’s leader Abu Mossab Abdelwadoud, also own as Abdelmalek Dourkdal, was quoted as saying in an Internet message earlier this month.
    “France is our enemy number one, the enemy of our religion, the enemy of our community,” he was quoted as saying.
    France was mentioned 15 times in the text, and the Algerian government was also targeted, the officials said.
    Nine people detained in a series of raids west of Paris Monday are suspected members of the GSPC, officials have said. They were being questioned for a second day Tuesday at the headquarters of the DST domestic intelligence agency.
    Interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy said Monday that the risk of terrorist attack in France is “at a very high level… There are cells operating on our territory.”

    It is alarming, though not surprising, to view the video from France. Each frame of film records, for posterity, the collapse of social order into chaos as perpetrated by Islamic gangs. Whilst the world appears shocked, few on the right have been caught unawares.
    France occupies rarified air among the eight countries that project economic power across the globe. Never content to accept their role the French alone openly pander to North Africa and Islamic states. As a country with wealth and culture this is necessarily a bad thing as events have proven. Yet, to anyone with an orientation towards the past for guidance, it is not unexpected.
    The French people possess an inferiority streak that is peculiar, inasmuch as it applies to their national identity. One need only read a history of the twentieth century to note the failures of France, both internally and, as is often pointed out, externally. That the German army made France their personal campsite twice during the century is enough to understand the French distaste for, in their minds, inferior cultures that resort to war.
    Yet, in the images that are broadcast one is witness to a failure of epic proportions. The desire to be a world power is bloodlust among French leaders, so much so that in order to salve the conscience of a nation that deals nuclear material to the highest bidder, appeasement is regarded as compassion.
    What is left then is social disorder. Social apologists proclaim that the riots are merely a cry for help among those feeling alienated by French society. In short France has failed her citizenry either way. If the Islamic thugs are forced to be subservient then all the hyperbole about France being an open and superior culture is drivel. Conversely if what is happening is the result of pandering to the Islamic hordes, which is more likely, then France has once again failed, in a Maginot Wall failure, to protect her internal security.
    It must be noted that a failure in internal security in France has international consequences. The French are a nuclear power. Therein lays a very clear and present danger. It is doubtful that roving gangs will ever be able to access French military sites. The greatest threat will come from concessions that the government will grant to avoid further problems. Make no mistake; France will capitulate. In doing so Islamic clerics will gain a more noticeable foothold in establishing policy. It will begin locally but will spread.
    If this sounds far-fetched consider the attacks on American soil. How many were caught unaware. Yet the United States acted swift and decisively to mitigate the threat. The citizenry demanded it and history shows that the United States, when faced with decisions about self preservation, will act accordingly.
    France has no such history. In fact much of the government of France became Nazi collaborators in the Vichy government, including their greatest living military hero, Petain. There is little to suggest that this internal threat, while not as critical as tanks rumbling through the countryside, is as dangerous in the long term. If France follows history there will be another titanic internal struggle and it will be left to an outside force to rectify the problem. >>>
