Occupied New Orleans

The lengthy ruse is finally over;

“George Bush needs to stop talking, admit the mistakes of his all around failed administration, pull our troops out of occupied New Orleans and Iraq, and excuse his self from power…”

Cindy Sheehan is a Karl Rove plant.

  1. Also try Farenhype 911. You can find it at Rogers video if you look real careful. It is usually a single copy next to about a dozen of the grubby one’s epic slanderfest.

  2. Clicked thru and read the whole post on fat boy’s site. Then I googled “Algiers Louisiana flood news” and got the NOLA page which states power was restored to Algiers on Thursday and that people would be allowed to return on Monday. Am I missing something?

  3. I don’t even know where to start. Wasn’t the left upset that the feds were too slow getting there? Now that they are there, um, she wants them out because they’re occupiers?
Man, maybe I’m just a dumb conservative, but I really can’t get my head around her logic.

  4. Whyever are you continuing to give that douce bag Cindy Sheehan any coverage at all.
We need her to shut her big fat commie mouth.
It’s bad enough Dubbya has been turned into a race hustling socialist without confusing the issues.

  5. Po’ Guv Blanco (French for whitey) no go on a junket. Notice the words: “a small delegation”.

Governor Kathleen Blanco will not be going to Asia Sunday. Blanco, Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Michael Olivier and a small delegation were scheduled to depart Louisiana Sunday to meet with business and government leaders in Taiwan, Japan, Korea and China. State officials say the trip has been postponed. No new date has been set. Blanco was scheduled to meet with officials from at least three major car manufacturers– Toyota and Nissan in Japan and with Kia Motors in South Korea — in hope of persuading them to build plants in Louisiana. 7. Did Ms. Sheehan jump the shark? I read her post this morning and thought oh boy, she’ll get nailed on that. Conservatives may see her as the gift that keeps on giving.
She still demonstrates what one individual can do. She may say something you don’t like but nobody dies. Bush is the worst president ever. Guilty of criminal negligence and passive genocide. While he’s taking responsibility for the Katrina screw-ups, I have a very long list of things he has done that he can take the blame for.
Katrina isn’t the worst disaster to hit the states, Bush is.

  8. If, Steve, she demonstrates what one individual can do, then logically we must ask, what did she do? For example, did she help? Was she actually of any use at all?
On the other hand, President Bush put the nation back on the correct track in the last paragraph of his speach last night, in which he said:
“In this place, there’s a custom for the funerals of jazz musicians. The funeral procession parades slowly through the streets, followed by a band playing a mournful dirge as it moves to the cemetery. Once the casket has been laid in place, the band breaks into a joyful “second line” — symbolizing the triumph of the spirit over death. Tonight the Gulf Coast is still coming through the dirge — yet we will live to see the second line.”

tell me, what did cindys child DIE for?
fuckin armchair news/propaganda sheepdip swallowing assholes.

  10. “tell me, what did cindys child DIE for?”
In an attempt to address your somewhat inchoate comments, let me simply recall Christie Blatchford’s comment that too many Canadians confuse the sidelines for the moral high ground.
    Cindy’s child died for you.

  11. It is my general understanding, Paul, that “Cindy’s Child” (as you put it) died for something Casey Sheehan believed in. What that has to do with Cindy’s fit of pique is not exactly clear to me.

  12. “In an attempt to address your somewhat inchoate comments, let me simply recall Christie Blatchford’s comment that too many Canadians confuse the sidelines for the moral high ground.
    Cindy’s child died for you.”
You’re sure of that are you?
    http://www.halliburtonwatch.org/
    Sorry I don’t buy it.
But I’m glad you shared your opinion. So many people just shrug and say wtf…..

  13. Let her talk. She only exposes herself further for a certifiable fool. Thank you for sharing this, Kate. I got a great laugh.
Casey Sheean lived his own life, and nothing she could ever do can diminish her son’s honor.

  14. I’ll bet you, Paul, that if Kellogg Brown & Root were saving your posterior, you would re-evaluate your position on Halliburton. But then, you probably wouldn’t even notice if Kellogg Brown & Root were saving your posterior, would you? No, you’ll have to wait until someone with a plan actually comes face to face rescuing you before you understand, won’t you? Casey Sheehan tried to help. Sadly, apparently, it wasn’t about you.

  15. she is a mother that lost her boy and has gone mostly insane because of it, and moonbat Moore is encouraging her

  16. I think Kelly brings up an important point. My heart goes out to Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother. My battle is with those who would take advantage of her grief for political purposes to the point of actually encouraging her to lose it. I have been using the phrase “Cindy Sheehan” to refer to the latter phenomenon, not the actual person. Sorry I haven’t been more clear.

  17. This “ditch witch” is just a lefty, moonbat, asshat who is suffering from a revese Oedipus complex. Her “lover” son left her all alone doing something she could never understand, fighting and dying for something he believed in.The proof is how quickly she abadined the rest of her family in her insane, jealous rage that Casey didn’t share her insane schizoid fantasies. She and Bullshit Moore ought to get along just fine.

  18. “we must ask, what did she do? For example, did she help? Was she actually of any use at all?”
I think Ms. Sheehan’s vigil accomplished several things. It highlighted Bush’s inhumanity and it focused attention on the Iraq war in what would have been a quiet news cycle. Even before she started the majority of Americans, without any active anti-war movement, had already begun to figure out that the war was a huge mess.

  19. Well, I knew it wouldn’t take too long. Eastern Paulie shows us that when a discussion doesn’t go the way a moonie thinks it should then use foul language to make your point. WRONG! ep grow up, eh.
Moonies also make generalities: “Katrina isn’t the worst disaster to hit the states, Bush is.” Steve could very well be a journalism student. He has the rant down pat. Perhaps Bush should have done the Canadian thing and send a strongly worded letter to Saddam or maybe let the UN dither for another 12 years of broken sanctions. Casey Sheehan was a volunteer, a soldier and guess what? Soldiers sometimes get killed in the line of duty. It’s a fact. Losing a child is tough but as mentioned above, the lefties that are playing Cindy Sheehan like a cheap guitar for their own agenda are truely dispicable.
    Amen, pass the ammunition.

  20. Casey Sheehan spent over 3 years with the 1st Battalion, 82nd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, out of Fort Hood, Texas.
For all of you up on your military pay grades, he was an E-4, which means that he had earned several stripes and had started up the pyramid of rank for an elisted man. After 3 years he re-enlisted.
As an old VietNam vet, I can assure you that no one makes you re-enlist if you don’t want to. Sometimes in a difficult conflict a person’s tour of duty can be extended, but this is not what happened to Casey Sheehan.
Irrespective of what his mother thought or did not think about our struggle in Iraq, get one thing perfectly clear. Casey Sheehan was a soldier. He knew how to throw hand granades, had some experience in bayonet practice, had qualified with a variety of military weapons. And in addition to these skills, specialized as a humvee mehcanic. Casey Sheehan was a professional soldier. He knew full well before he re-enlisted that his outfit would be sent to Iraq.
It is a shame that families often disagree when their country is involved in military conflict. But the fact remains that when one family member who happens to be a professional military man likes what he is doing and beleives in the cause that he is pursuing, it does not necessarily mean that every member of his family goes along with what he is thinking.
At this juncture, people who are concerned about Cindy Sheehan’s opinion are not part of the American mainstream, even if they have some disagreement in principle with respect to America’s move against Saddam Hussein. However, Casey Sheehan was a soldier going up the hierarchy of rank, who wanted to continue being a soldier, and fully understood a soldier’s risks.
I’ve seen them play taps for a lot of guys, and I honor the fallen. Cindy Sheehan, whatever her psychological drives are, will not change the honorable sacrifice that Casey made for his country.

  21. Sigh, to just read eastern paul’scomments is hard, he is so lost in his mainstream media spin,
no real thinking, just looking at the news and
believing what the left spin is for the day.
Texas Canuck, thanks for the clear thinking and
    Greg, the same to you.
It the eastern people do not wake up soon they
will be very surprised at what is really happening with Cindy. Yes, she is being used by
Move.on and other left groups who are determined
to do just one thing, destroy the president.
Destroy him and the dems have a chance, and their
anger and hate control them. Wake up.

  22. Re “mainstream spin”. Yes, it is all spin.
Behind all the so-called news the picture is slowly forming :
In my opinion, I am being lied to.
My government here in Kanada, can have its friends steal tax money, not just recently but for years. All manner of “programs” to assist disadvantaged groups are discovered to primarily funnel money to, you guessed it friends of those in power. Pity those just outside the membership of these fortunate friends. Such is life.
The latest revelations on the UN operations is more of the same : Insiders get; outsiders pay.
Iraq reparations again :insiders get; outsiders pay.
Governments, who I thought, are supposed to work for the common good, are failing (in my opinion)this task. They have all this power supposedly to do this “common good”, and we leave them at their duties. Unsupervised; we trust that they are on task. Fools we are.
Because they are not on task.
Governance we have entrusted to our leaders has been swept aside by well heeled corporate interests. Political contacts are greased in various ways.We are only potential sales, another notches on their balance sheet.
Now the world view, millions like myself, non-members of the governing class, are expected to carry on toiling. Some people are blind to certain aspects this situation.Ignorance is bliss.
All the while these same interests, from energy companies, manufactuers, media, music-entertainment and the like, work night and day,to extract whatever they can from our personal resources. Sometimes at any cost. See product liability
These activities can be small and not easily seen, say hoarding strategic material or information. Limiting technology transfer.
Or large scale control efforts, for example a world war. We are there now, only the killing is in comparatively less visible areas;painless to most of western society. You have to admit, that the oil war in Iraq and Afganistan, really is not affecting the majority of westerners directly.
It has no direct impact on me, for sure! I don’t think it even indirectly impacts on my life whatsoever. Thus it’s easier to shrug and accept a war, that’s not on your doorstep.
Some like the posters to this site, and others are aware, and grumble. Naturally they do have divergent interpretations of what is actually going on. And they take sides, moving from camp to camp, depending on which issue you care to examine.
Cindy is only a symbol. To some, her loss illustrates the price for believing in freedom. Others would say hers is the price we pay for our leaders misdeeds. It’s not really that simple.
We only arrange our camps that way; black and white, trying to sort out all the lies.

  23. Greg Outside Dallas, that was an excellent, well-perspectived explanation of what’s what re the late Mr. Sheehan. This sort of contribution helps a lot, especially here in the GWN.
One of your passages above caught my attention:
“when one family member who happens to be a professional military man likes what he is doing and beleives in the cause that he is pursuing, it does not necessarily mean that every member of his family goes along with what he is thinking.”
I can relate to that, except as a blogger rather than as a military man, which I haven’t personally been. Having started my blogsite, “The Canadian Sentinel”, just this past 9/11, I believe I’m serving my country and people, too. But I haven’t told family, as I know they’re not yet prepared to understand; they still think blogs are “chat rooms”, which couldn’t be further from the truth; just ask Kate ;-). Probably someday I’ll tell them, but not just right now.

  24. The question is, why is she not just a hater, but a famous hater? Obviously, because she was a mainstream media darling throughout the summer. But where are the media, now that her cover has been blown? A curtain of silence has descended. Once again, the American press accepts no accountability for misleading the American people, and it has no intention of correcting the fictitious record that it, alone, created.>>>

  25. Maz,
In my opinion it is rather simple, she was a convenient way to hit and run GWB. He really couldn’t do much back against this whacko without the risk of looking petty.
Imagine him releasing a statement along the lines of “Well, Mrs. Sheehan didn’t mention any of this to me last year when I met with her, her husband, and several other families. Besides, her son re-enlisted in a volunteer army and also volunteered for the mission which ultimately was the cause of his death.”
I respect the hell out of Casey Sheehan, a mechanic who volunteered for a rescue he wasn’t required to go on but did because he wanted to help fellow soldiers. His mother is dishonoring much of what he obviously believed in on a daily basis. I used to feel a little sorry for her, but now I begin to think that she is worthy of any sympathy. Better to spend that on others in the family and Casey himself.

  26. Agree with your comments, Shawn.
The copy/paste is from powerlineblog.com, posted by Scott. Power indeed; the truth will out.
Discover who “The Friends” are: Communists.
    [Quote]
    “The Friends of Cindy Sheehan
Who is Cindy’s “new friend” Malik Rahim? He is conventionally described as a “veteran of the Black Panther Party in New Orleans,” and was recently a Green Party candidate for local office there. But the truth is somewhat worse. Rahim is a Communist. Here is a speech he gave to the Communist Manifesto conference in December 1998; it begins:
I’m here on behalf of two revolutionary freedom fighters that have spent the last 26 years in solitary confinement in Angola, a state prison in Louisiana. I met these freedom fighters as a political prisoner in 1970. I was in a shoot-out with the police in New Orleans as a member of the Black Panther Party.”>>> more

  27. Eastern Paul,
Your rant on the dishonesty of our governments and beaurocracy is pretty right on … do you think you can replace this set of scoundrels with any other set that would be better?
They are all the same. The world is being looted by those with power just as it always has. Get used to it … it’s the way of the world. Humans are generally despicable, but we are what we are.
Here’s what you do. Stop reading mainstream news, get a job if you don’t have one, get a good hobby that you like, shop the underground economy as much as possible and stop your mindless rants that lead nowhere and say nothing. Your heart rate will slow, you may lose some weight and you will be a happier liberal type.
You will not have to do anything more to be happy until a jihadist puts his big knife to your throat and says “do you believe in Allah?”. Of course, by then, it will be too late for men like GW Bush or men like the young Sheehan soldier to help your lazy ass.
We have our weasels in Ottawa, the US has theirs in the white house, but we are all free weasels for now and we don’t have pray five times a day to an imaginary dictator in the sky, who apparently hates women and gays to no end.
Everything just seems a lot worse nowadays because there are simply too many disgusting humans on this small planet. We are all shitting in our own nests and you can imagine where that will lead.
However, it’s not about to change or even slow down. So oooo back to your life … make sure you have a job, hobby and do a bit of shopping. Be happy don’t worry …. there is NOTHING you can say that will change what comes up next.
Shit happens, humans react … usually badly nowadays since character, pride (the real kind) initiative, leadership, critical thinking, physical fitness have all been destroyed or diminished by 30 years of a commie run educational system of pseudo caring nurturers (unionists) and doting stupid parents (baby boomers) and an all powerful (in their own minds) cunning set of very self serving governments and their minions. Sorry for that horrid run-on sentence.
The only reason we have what we have .. this transient middle class life style, is because there is enough to go around whereby we can be bought off rather than killed off in order to keeo us supporting the upper edge. You may have noted that in countries where there isn’t enough to go around … it’s different. We get hockey, beer, pizza, cars, big TVs etc … they get shit and bullets.
Someday, if the lefties have their way … the whole world will be getting the shit and bullets because lefties cannot live with the envy they hold for anyone who has more than they do.
Liberalism .. socialism … are the politics of envy. Envy is an emotion that is supposed to be outgrown by the time one makes it through puberty. However, most lefties can’t seem to get passed their fascination with the going through puberty thing … kinda like Bill Clinton.

  28. Cindy Sheehan is being handled by people from groups like Code Pink.

The National Post has been running an unidentified photo of Lisa Fithian (one of the organizers of the Battle in Seattle and a well known agitator to Canadian officials) attaching names to white crosses in a Texas ditch on one of its Sound Off pages.

These are the crosses with the names of dead soldiers Cindy Sheehan used despite being asked by military familys to please NOT use their loved ones names in her antiwar protest.

Code Pink holds an antiwar rally outside Walter Reed Hopital every Friday night with flag draped coffins hoping to recruit a handicapped veteran.

They know military familys come from out of town to visit their loved ones on weekends and Code Pink has no care or concern for the pain of military familys as Code Pinks “cause” and its propaganda needs trumps all.

IMO it is weird how Casey Sheehan, a 25 year old soldier is always portrayed by these groups as a child, when groups like Code Pink assure us the age for homosexual consent is 14 and a fetus is never a child.

  29. You say she was an easy hit on GWB. I say she was a plant by Carl Rove. Wasn’t he under scrutiny for leakage. And then Cindy comes along and the msm wags its head in another direction. Oh that Carl Rove, diabolical;-)
