TV talker Chris Matthews, who was one of several NBC News personalities hyping the Valerie Plame-Joseph Wilson scandal, sounded dumbfounded on Sunday, now that the imbroglio now seems unlikely to sink White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove’s career.
