The Liberal government denied compensation to those infected before 1986, claiming that no test was available before then. That now turns out to be false.
Paul Martin was on the board of the Canadian Development Corporation from 1981-1987, during the time hemophiliacs were infected with tainted blood. The CDC was the holding company for the private company, Connaught Laboratories, the major supplier of blood products in Canada, specifically Factor VIII used by hemophiliacs.

Evaluations of the safety of U.S.-sourced blood supplies were sent to Connaught Laboratories but were never even read by its senior officials. Instead, Connaught kept buying blood from a Montreal blood broker — the only company in the world still buying blood from U.S. prisons.

Somebody doesn’t want the truth to come out about how deadly blood sold from then Governor Clinton’s Arkansas prisons made its way into the Canadian plasma supply. Mark Kennedy in the Ottawa Citizen reports two incidents within hours of each other Tuesday night: the Arkansas prosthetics clinic owned by tainted blood whistleblower Michael Galster was fire-bombed and the Quebe offices of the Canadian Hemophilia Society were broken into.
The clinic was burned to its shell and fire officials say they’re “90 percent sure” it was arson. In the Canadian break-in, a computer and three telephones were stolen along with documents from a box labeled, “Hepatitis C, Krever Commission, Reform of the blood system, HIV-AIDS.”

A friend of mine, ( here in Ontario), was infected with Hepatitis during a botched operation in hospital- BEFORE the authorities claimed they were aware of the problem with tainted blood. He has multiple lawsuits in the pipeline, (and the authorities have claimed that he is an ‘injected drug user’, ( never was), and if what he has told me is true, this is downright scary- the lengths that the authorities will go to to discredit anybody who raises hell.
In France, the people responsible for their blood supply went to jail for this! (And this one is not going away.) One more brick in the wall, sez I.
The information on Connaught Laboratories etc. was documented in the United States. Arkansas state was selling their prison populations donated tainted blood which wound up in Connaught laboratories. Evidently Paul Martin was on the board of Connaught at the time according to public documents.
Once again looking back , Canada’s mainstream media was silent on the matter with a few exceptions such as Mark Kennedy.
Looking closely at the mainstream media to the Liberal government and the corruption they are currently involved in and numerous other major issues, one has to wonder why MSM are compliant?
The only possible reason that corruption can survive and flourish as it currently is in Liberal governed Canada is that there no equivalent of FOX News operating in Canada.

Using the Access to Information Act, Probe International obtained the secret study and had it reviewed by independent experts who expressed outrage over its unsubstantiated conclusions.
“This is not engineering and science, merely an expert prostitution, paid for by Canadian taxpayers,” said University of Manitoba professor Vaclav Smil, an expert on Chinese energy and environment issues.
Based on the independent experts’ findings, Probe International filed complaints against the Canadian engineers who conducted the feasibility study, accusing them of professional negligence, incompetence and professional misconduct.

I am sorry that your friend has been infected. I have some more information for him. I had an anynurism (hope that is spelled correctly) in May, 1984. I was in St Pauls, Vancouver waiting for an operation when a friend of mine, recently returned from Switzerland heard about my condition. She came to the hospital IMMIDATLY and informed my Dr. that any blood I required would be donated by herself or my Mom and Dad. She told the Dr’s that she had heard from her friends in Geneva (World Health reps) that Canada had tainted blood. She said not one of those Doctor’s questioned her, her accusation or her right to dictate my blood supply. If Switzerland knew, our people knew. I wish your friend had had a friend in the know like I was lucky enough to have – I was lucky to live considering the fact that most people die when their brain bleeds. I would have been way beyond rage if I would have been infected with Hep C after living through the Anyurism. Give my best to your friend and tell Mr. Fletcher about it.
I read an article years ago about Cretin and Billy- Boy Clinton and the blood negotiations in Alabama. I wrote to the Sreecher (she was Min of Health), she said the story was a fabrication by the anti-gun control people. We have a lot of fodder for the implosion of the Liberanos, we just have to keep turning up the heat.
