  1. Their brains were eaten by the mind sucking perfidious MSM. You can tell a Candian lemming who take their cues from the partisan MSM. They walk about chanting mindless indoctrinated mantras:
    America/Americans eivl……Canada saintly
Tax goood….tax reduction selfish and evil
Corrupt leadership goooood…..civil outrage over it baaaad
Librano ethicless graft gooood….Harper evil Christian degenerate…ethics baaaad
Seeing so many walking about like this recalls the chilling radical solutions for “zombyism” portrayed in Dawn of the Dead. 😉

  2. Well, look at this way–as far as we know bin Laden does not yet have the capability to nuke us (intention is quite another thing).
Maybe JTF2 should be training to burn the White House, in response to popular demand.

  3. I don’t get it – how are we (Americans) a THREAT to you? Last time I looked, I thought we were on the same side.

  4. Polls Schmolls. I don’t take this one any more seriously than the claptrap routinely hyped by the MSM down here. Why? Because it has been shown numerous times that you can get anyone to agree with any proposition simply by how the question is posed.

  5. “I don’t get it – how are we (Americans) a THREAT to you?”
I’m guessing that you folks don’t like poutine. That would do it.
“I don’t take this one any more seriously than the claptrap routinely hyped by the MSM down here.”
Here’s the problem. Every time Americans see this kind of crap floating around our media it’s another punch to their gut. We’re not going to have any kind of relationship with them if the asshats in the media keep going out of their way to queer things.

  6. Poutine? That’s fries with cheese, right?
Had some for lunch today – with chili, of course.

  7. ‘International Organized Crime’? Hell- our organized crime is home-grown. (The Americans already own anything in this country worth having- it is cheaper to run it with local peons than to do it themselves). But consider: would YOU want a Glib appointee, managing YOUR cash cow? Hmmm?

  8. The CBC must be so proud of this poll. Their numerous crock-umentaries about the evil Bush & Cheney are paying off.

  9. Just another example how stupid we Americans are – I thought poutine was fries with gravy. Actually sounded reasonably tasy (if perhaps messy) to me.
But with cheese? I’ll pass on that.

  10. Terrorism and Bush doctrine on even ground? Thats right, any day now the US army is coming north.
You’d think from peoples attitudes they blame every terror killing in Iraq on Bush. Never mind who’s pulling the trigger, thats fact, thats irrelivent.
Damn I’m getting tired of the simpltons here who won’t stop slagging the Americans. I am glad, however, that Americans know how to differentiate between the nut jobs that answered these polls, and the sane ones. Also, between, say, western Canada, and Eastern Canada.
They, after all, have Democrats in the US.

  11. Actually, the only thing that disappoints me about the US is that they didn’t kick the crap out of the Empire Loyalists and the French and take the whole North American continent. Born in Toronto. A lousy 30 miles too far north…

  12. Do you really think America is all that concerned with Canadian relations? As long as the Oil flows, the Americans are a little busy running Country #1 to care what a self-rightious bunch of losers like us have to say about them.
The sad thing is, ungrateful countries like Germany and France the U.S might expect… but why Canada?

  13. Fozzy, I’m sure you are joking because that sounds absolutely nasty to think about, unless the “gravy” is tomato-based, as in not “gravy” in the US.

  14. My goodness!
IF that American general hadn’t been a damned coward during the war of 1812 Canada WOULD be America. We would have lost that little conflict and the Americans would have made us part of that great country.
I can see no reason whatever for such a stupid poll. Far from being grateful that those who are actually fighting , dying, getting wounded and actually going back for more in another tour of duty we actually have idiots in this country who show no class whatever issuing and broadcasting such a poll. Useless and demeaning and totally unwarranted.
Those in Canada whose business depends on interaction with Americans know without doubt what a lucky country Canada is to have such a good neighbour in the US. If it were NOT for George Bush and his administration, we might well have been a target for terrorists. Canada harbours terrorist cells of Al Queda and so does the USA. Those ignoramouses at the CBC never actually check out the close working relationship of Canadians with Americans and especially as an example those working at NORAD.
We have had a really good working relationship with the US , but more out of good luck and the good will of Americans than anything we deserve.
We are NOT good neighbours. Lucky for us the US ARE good neighbours.
When the crunch comes , we will be even more undeserving of any protection and assistance the US gives us, but they will give it anyway.
Could we say the same if the situation were reversed? On the political level, there may be some hesitancy , mainly because we have buffoons and the US do not suffer fools lightly.
But, on the personal level, Canadians and Americans not only get along, they are very helpful and cooperative.
The CBC can shove that poll and the attitude that produced it right where the sun does not shine.
