  1. Well I sincerely hope that with all that Chuck Cadman has been through, he voted from his conscience and he wasn’t bought off…

  2. I wonder what he got…truly disappointing. Is it premature to suggest it’s time for the West to leave?

  3. What a fool that Chuck Cadman is! If you just look at what the Liberals have done, what they are prepared to do to retain power and what they stand for and you still are going to support them, then you are also corrupt. This was your moment, Mr. Cadman to make a difference which is why you ran for parliament in the first place and you blew it. I hope you remember this when the “Gomery report” comes out, if it ever does and is so watered down and only tells us what we already know now, Mr. Cadman, remember that you let the power go for nothing.

  4. Words fail me…Cadman went into government to fight for justice for his murdered son…and then votes to prop up a rotten government whose record on crime and punishment stands more on the side of the criminal and not the victim.!!!! Go figure. Hope he can sleep at night.

  5. From the lips of the lovely Belinda Stronach, Canada received her Judas kiss yesterday. It allowed a bottomlessly corrupt government to escape an election;
“Paul Martin suckered (the word is not too strong) Stephen Harper into a Parliamentary “truce”, while Ms Stronach unsheathed the knife for Mr. Harper’s back. She had only waited for the opportunity to be presented; to get the timing just right.
Mr. Harper, whom the Liberals’ media friends are trying to portray as “dangerously angry”, has learned why he must never again enter into any kind of agreement with a man of Mr. Martin’s moral character.
Am I making this personal? Yes, and it ought to be made personal, by everyone who has been betrayed — every Canadian not directly in the pay of the Liberal Party. ”

  6. It’s time for the west to leave. The fact that Cadman lost his mind and the polls are far too kind for the Libranos is clear evidence that nothing will ever change. We will continue to get ripped off and thank the Liberals for it. Welcome to dictatorship.

  7. As disappointing as this is the it means the CPC has a little more time to build their base. The Libs are tactically good in a crisis…well the crisis passed. Expect there to be some toe stubbing from their side now.
All those who supported them now have to live with the decision, media and NDP included.
What is the game now….well Martin needs the NDP to survive. He will need to continue to give in to them to live. How long will THAT last….the NDP will drop them if they think they are getting used and not getting anything for it, remember this is the party that loves MORAL VOCTORIES.
Paul you let Jack in the house now try to control him…good luck.
The bigger question is what price did we all pay for this…cancellation of opposition days, selling cabinet positions, lots of spending…avoidance of constitutional convention (breaking it quite frankly). We may not sum the total for years when these actions are used to justify similar things in the future.
Now for those of you who didnt like the vote click here and find the wave file that titled germans.wav Those of you of a certain age will recognize this impassioned speech

  8. Shaken – I just saw another dude interviewed who said government corruption was nonsense and was glad the Liberals survived. When asked specifically about Adscam he “hadn’t really been following it”.
    Another informed voter…

  9. I’ve already mailed my forms to http://separationalberta.com
Made up my mind yesterday that it’s full bore separation now. Have even posted a notice on my site. Enough is enough, and I just can’t accept the total criminal behavior of the Librano$ that just will do anything to continue there onslaught of raping and pillaging the country.

  10. my bet is that frank stronach got a big promise from the liberal government for this. this will cost the taxpayers tens of millions, and we’ll probably never know for sure why magna got those contracts

  11. Well, well, well. I never thought I would so thoroughly disown my family history. My great uncle was a Liberal MPP, MP, and Senator. I am now an avowed Conservative. The Liberals have no recognition of honesty or integrity. I’m sure they will bury Gomery and continue their corrupt rule, all the while telling us that it’s the moral thing to do. The Liberals have no morality. They have no scruples. God bless the Tories.

  12. Today was but one battle in a war not yet lost. Strategically, this past 2 weeks flushed out the rot (or should I say Rotweiller) in the Conservative party, and the untrustworthy independents.
Cadman verified he is the limp-wristed, lightweight I thought he was. Didn’t require many brains to determine that the blame for his vote would be laid at the feet of his constituents. Definitely a coward of the highest rank.
Chuck and Belinda will go down in history as the catalysts for Quebec separation. Hey Belinda, I wonder if breaking up a country ranks higher on the public disgust meter than whoring for personal ambition. We can criticize Belinda all we want, but sadly, it is her children, who will be her harshest critics.

  13. Cadman got into politics on the coat tails of his sons murder, built a “house-hold” name quickly as a result, the Reform were a fledging party that needed house hold names, he was in the right place at the right time. His brother is an avid NDPer here in BC,this man has caught my curiousity since he was ganged up on by the guy that won the riding, opening the door for Cadman to run as an Independent which obviously won. However which three quarters of his “consituents” were against the election, the Constituents that voted him in, or the constituents that voted the failed Candidate? And isn’t it coincidence his reply of “my Constituents” made me do it are the same talking points that Tim Murphy, Herr Martins chief, mentiioned as a possible cop out to the Grewalls for swinging theif vote. I fully expect the no braier (look at his resume and his record, youth crime worse than ever)will be offered a Senate Seat a couple of years down the road when the Librano’s think the smoke has cleared

  14. Chuck ran a poll in his constituency to see what we wanted him to do. We do want the Fiberals out — but not yet. There is still work to do, and the Harper gang will not do it…
Chuck answers only to his constituents. We voted him in. He works for us. How many of you can say that you have a representative who truly represents your cause to the government, and not the other way around?
And by the by…do you really expect him to back Harper, anyway, after what Harper did to him?

  15. It has been posted here and elsewhere that this is only a battle, not the war.
I’m old enough to remember feeling a profound pride in being Canadian. Three grandfathers fought in the first two world wars under our flag.
I will wait just a little longer before I throw in the towel altogether. Don’t know why really, I just hate to see our country stolen from us.
    One more election.

  16. So you are saying that because Harper did something to Cadman that Cadman had the right to take his personell hatred and put it on to the Canadian Poeple. why punish the Canadian people? they had nothing to do with Cadmans personell life, and how easy for you to say you “polled” your constituents, the biggest tools, and the only tool the Librano’s have are these Librano friendly so-called “polls’? Get up a little earleir in the morning before you try to pass that crap off. Cadman has alway been a closet Liberal, I would take the side of Harper over Cadman any day, so without knowing the sordid details, I’ll vote for Harper until proven different. What is Cadmans resume before he entered politics, and what is his forte? I see he chopped down his Geronomo hair style, had to look more “prominant” for the vote? ok to look like a wayward pot smoker up until now? When did he get his name in the paper last for his acomplishments? and why was he not screaming from the highest hill regarding the horrendous way the judges are letting these young hoods out with no penalty? Gawd if we depend on the likes of the Cadmans of the world, their would be anarchy. One does not have to be a member of the Gov’t to call press conferences, or even call for free, talk shows, or enter on to Blogs, denouncing the injustices going on. Did Cadman do any of those things, or just rely on his Costituency money to send out the “form” flyers?

  17. stephen…wipe the foam off your mouth — you’re ranting in the wrong direction.
I said that Chuck followed the wishes of his constituents. We are the only ones to whom he answers.
Sure, he has less hair now than he did a few weeks ago. Chemotherapy does that to a person.
Perhaps instead of raining personal insults down on a man who is doing his job, you could try electing an independent thinker of your own?

  18. Here is the definitive take on what happened this week.
    1. Harper has grown in the job. Those who attack him are Liberals or, if CPC, are hopelessly stupid assholes. No human being could ever measure up to their standards.
    2. It was a good week. We got rid of that sleep around non-conservative opportunist. (The only conservative bone she has ever had in her body was you know who.)
    3. The average I.Q. of the CPC went up .5% points and that of the Lieberalls went down .03%(do the math).
    4. With apologies to Charles Johnson (LGF) never trust a professed conservative man who wears a pony tail.

  19. The tragic murder of his son inspired Mr. Cadman to go Ottawa and fight for justice.
Today he had a unique opportunity, to stand for honour and justice. Instead he stood shoulder to shoulder with a corrupt government, to keep it in power.
What a sad legacy he has left to his son’s memory.

  20. Cadman is a great guy. He stands for so many values. Just think of all the great things he has had to say about Canadian politics!!!

  21. A sad day for Canada.
    Time to split.
Can Bimbo speak French? Everyone should question her in French.
Remember the briber is just as disgusting as the bribee.
