I pray to Allah this happens. People in New York deserve Mamdani. But, to be serious, my greater fear will be realized. Mamdani will win, he will not be able to fulfil his promises, and people will continue to claim that Socialism is the answer, it just wasn’t done right.

New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago are all alike in that the quality of their mayors declines with each succeeding election. When all three cities have become completely unliveable trash-strewn war zones citizens may look back and ask themselves what they’ve done; but I doubt it.
