26 Replies to “Your Moral And Intellectual Circumstances”

  1. Frum is the only name I recognized, so I thought I’d share my research on the other three (and my opinion on Frum).

Wikipedia: Walter Michael Shaub Jr. is an American attorney specializing in government ethics who, from January 9, 2013 to July 19, 2017, was the director of the United States Office of Government Ethics.

Seth Abramson (Newsweek): “Curated journalism has been derided as inferior to original reporting—but in an era when news are coming so thick and fast, a discerning journalist weaving reportage into a coherent narrative can play a vital role.”

    Will McAvoy (fictional news anchor)

David Frum (trying to fill the void of Krauthammer, but without the intellect)

  2. No one really listens to them and the swamp keeps them around because they are the kind of progressive-conservatives they like.

  3. Circumstances? The only circumstance I see is the bat shit crazy left losing their shit.

  4. Frum and the others are troubled by a President who has the constitutional right/obligation to nominate a justice to the Supreme Court.
    I question their objectivity.
I hope the Democrats don’t get in, they’ll try to pack the court with leftist loons.

    1. When I see Frum on TV ,he looks like a homeless wino, that some one paid to hate on Trump.. His Mom must be so proud. He probably got BumRushed out of a Trump party back in the day for stealing expensive petit fours.

  5. She’s perfect! This shows that she won’t consider tender liberal feelings when making a decision.

    1. Actually, Barbara Frum was OK when she was on CBC’s As It Happens with Alan Maitland.

Don’t forget that David Frum’s sister is a senator, which isn’t saying much.

      1. I once had occasion to call Senator Frum’s office to congratulate her on something or other.

I spoke to her assistant. I ended up with a final message: “do ask the Senator why she’s so on the ball and her brother’s such a twit”, or words to that effect.

        The assistant laughed.

    2. “Frum’s mommy worked for the CBC.” I feel so sorry for her…None of her children lived….still born

  6. Never forget “journolist”, shut down in 2010, a website where hundreds of prominent “journalists” plotted and schemed how to spin the news in a partisan manner. Obviously they’re still at it, just being sneakier about it, maybe they do it on twitter now without being so obvious.

  7. Quick research – reading the article, checking sources – is what’s missing in society. It’s been gone from journalism for a while now. I expect them to lie to me.

  8. Situations like this are perfect for identifying the biased media(all of it), the swamp, the lying liars, the fools, etc, etc…
not that they aren’t mostly known.
    Scorpions gotta scorpion.
Kind of like how the headlines for this weeks debate will all be some version of ” Biden destroys a confused Trump”.
Sublety is not on the menu.
    Nor is truth.

“President Obama countered that he would perform his constitutional duty and nominate a successor to Scalia, adding, “Your job doesn’t stop until you are voted out or until your term expires.”

The historical record supports that position: 14 presidents have appointed 21 justices during presidential election years. A half-dozen presidents, classic lame ducks, filled Supreme Court seats even though their successors had been elected.

These six lame duck presidents appointed Supreme Court justices – before their successors took office….”

    1. Once again, NME666 raises his ugly little pointy anti-Semitic head. What has Frum being Jewish got to do with anything? If he is an asshole, it does not follow that all Jews are too, any more than the fact that you, NME666, are an anti-Semitic bigot with a room temperature IQ (measured in Celsius) means that all who share your ethnic origins or nationality are likewise moronic bigots.

  9. Frum is from the swamp. His likeness to the toad is no accident. He worked, for the intellect of a toad though.

    1. I remember when he was featured in TV ads for the National Post about 20 years ago. He was just as smug and fatuous then as he is now, all because he used to be a speech writer for Reagan or Bush Sr.

  10. David Frum has totally lost perspective on Trump. He is malicious and venomous– and often misleading. I have wondered about his being paid to attack “everything Trump”. I do not know, but I have lost all respect for him as a journalist and can never take him seriously again.

  11. Want to really see the heads exploding all over?

Let’s assume that there is a disruption of some sort, say, the Dems or their agent provocateurs cause havoc and disruption to the confirmation process, where ACB won’t be final before the election.

TRUMP can directly appoint her as a recess appointment, straight to serve on the SC immediately, which skips the immediate hearings, but can only serve until the end of the senate session, and then she would still have to go thru the hearing process.

Things could get REAL FUN. It’s just getting started.

  12. They have become so stupid and lazy, that they do not even bother to translate the days “Talking Points” into their own words.
Their contempt for their audience is immeasurable,so they just phone it in,word for word, down to the same grimace, sneers and inflection..
But they insist they are not reading from the same cheat sheet.

    Who you gonna believes?
Me? Or your lying ears and eyes?

  13. @JR. Exactly. They are so quick to obey the “One” behind the curtain, they can’t be bothered to make it seem that their thought is original. A serious terminal pox on their nether regions. And those that call the dance.

  14. Tucker Carlson often plays a montage of seven or eight lefty talking heads on different channels, all spouting the same rhetoric almost word for word. Its gotta be someone on high, emailing the daily sentence to them all. When Tucker strings them together its so blatant, you can cut it with a knife. Its also very amusing to watch.

  15. Comments like this just indicate that they have nothing to really criticize her about other then to condemn her for accepting Trumps offer and those are grounds for nothing. Maybe it should be pointed out to the left and the Dems that she’ll be in the court long after Trump is gone and then ask them, now what’s your real concern or is it just that she’s an independent thinker who believes in the constitution.
