Hey you kool, swingin’ kidz, tonight we invite you to join the fun that was happening on the January 4, 1964 broadcast of American Bandstand.  Interestingly, the episodes of this era were filmed in Philadelphia.  As an added bonus, you get to see the events in Times Square in NYC in the final minutes of 1963.  Just over a month before, JFK was assassinated in Dallas.

    2. Except that the CDC admitted that Covid deaths with Covid as the sole cause were only 6% of their original estimate. That was down to 9000 something after original claims in the neighborhood of 150,000. So what original death count is this claim of under reported based on. With such wild variations, it is hard to make sense of things. At this point, my main concern is lockdowns and at this point there is still no proof that lock downs make any difference in preventing transmissions or deaths. If anyone knows differently, please cite a source.

    I visited The Sixth Floor museum in Dallas, 1996, on November 22. I was fortunate to tour the area in an identical Lincoln Limo as JFK was riding in when he was killed.
    When you see the real evidence and other artifacts in front of your eyes, you can’t even imagine how this story was so badly warped by the conspiracy theorists. For example, after the assassination, conspiracy theorists claimed that all the motion and still cameras that were there that day were all seized by the FBI and the cameras and the films were never returned. Total BS. Many of them are on display in the museum with the evidence stickers and numbers attached. . The highlight of the tour was standing near the window where Oswald fired the three shots. The pulp magazines were saying it was impossible that Oswald could have gotten got a clear shot, and the three shots were fired too quickly for Oswald to have killed Kennedy on his own. The truth is that it would have almost been impossible for Oswald to miss JFK! You have to see it to believe it!! Just be careful which tour you choose!!

    1. Ya sure. A lone nut shot the President of the United States, it was investigated by the Warren Commission, and what was a one-off simple murder by a mad man then had to have the details sealed for 55 years. Sure.
      The proof of the conspiracy is in the coverup, which is extensive.
      To this day, only 2% of the Warren Commission documents have been revealed to the public despite a Law having been passed and signed by Presidents George H. W. Bush and B.J Clinton ordering the complete unsealing in 2017. (which was illegally thwarted by Donald J. Trump)

      To this day, only 2800 documents out of the original 30,000 Warren Commission papers have been made public.

      the featured document shows that Lee Oswald was a CIA agent trained under the Office of Naval Intelligence for Soviet assignments.

      1. The fact that Oswald was in Russia was never a secret. I was 14 when JFK was assassinated. My Dad ordered a condensed copy of the Warren Report when it became public, I’d guess about a year later. Many of the details of his (Oswald’s) time in Russia are in it. Whether he was working for the CIA or for General Electric, what would have to do with shooting the president?? And if he didn’t do it, why was he silenced by Jack Ruby??

        Just watch late night documentaries on TV. What do you see?? Grainy videos of UFO sightings, fake treasures buried on Islands, gold bars from WWII buried under German cities, blah blah blah. Yet never once do they come up with the real thing. What they do is throw irrelevant information at you until they take your focus off the real story. Just like hundreds of writers have done in concocting conspiracy theories about the JKF assassination.
        57 years later, some still say Oswald didn’t do it. Then who did??

          Lee Oswald had to die because if he had been brought to trial, the trial would have exposed that Oswald was a CIA agent, innocent of murdering Dallas Police Office Tippet too the same day as JFK, and the Coup D’état against the JFK regime would have entirely unraveled.
          (Tippet was a dead ringer looks wise for JFK and was murdered so that they had a body double to switch out with JFK during parts of the autopsy)

          The actual Grassy Knoll shooter, as NME666 will tell you, was James Files who blew President Kennedy’s brains out from the front with a Remington XP-100 Fireball pistol in .222 Remington (one of only 50 prototypes produced in that caliber from 1962 to 1963)

    2. The Church Committee confirmed that there was a conspiracy. There are lots of books explaining why the original “official” story makes no sense. I have read several. I liked Roger Stone’s. We don’t have certainty about who all was involved– but Oswald was indeed a patsy. I also believe Johnson was much involved. Who put this museum together? Probably explains a lot. Even museums are politicized these days. For example, The aviation museum in Seattle has deliberately scrubbed Lindberg. Astonishing when you think about it.

      1. Stupid enough to know that a bullet travelling at 2000 FPS did not control the muscles in his neck, his damaged brain did. That has been proven at least a dozen times. Same principle as shooting a jackrabbit with a 22-250, and it jumps straight up. Muscle contraction.

      2. Sure it will. Shoot the back of the head, the bullet penetrates the skull. No kinetic energy transfer because the bullet’s penetrating, and far too fast to dump any energy into the skull. Simple analogy: push a watermelon with your thumb, it moves. Push a thumbtack into a watermelon, it stays put and the thumbtack goes in.

        Bullet creates overpressure wave inside the cranial cavity, hits inside of the forehead, fractures the front of the skull, the overpressurized liquified brain matter ejects through the exit wound, basic conservation of momentum causes the head to snap back as the pressurized liquid exiting the skull acts like a jet engine.

        This has been modeled and replicated to death, pun intended.

    1. I saw this this morning as well. Two weeks ago, it was D.S. on the Corus network and I thought, hmmm? Jesperson on another holiday. Last week was D.S. all week. Something was afoot. Now confirmation that the SJW Jesperson was cancelled. I remember tuning in about three weeks or so to hear Jesperson make a half hearted apology about his rant concerning M. Nichol. Cant say I will miss the weekly spittle spewing rants against POTUS or any conservative initiative. Good start to my Sunday.

      Terrestrial radio is all about advertising. That’s really all they do. Sure each station has some format- music, talk etc. The ‘host’ of each program is always one slip of the tongue away from the unemployment line.

      Corus radio is very woke these days. Their Calgary morning show features a big mouth lesbo who is always on message. I moved away but do listen to Danielle Smith.

      Corus Calgary fired 25 year employee talk show host Dave Rutherford 2 weeks before he was scheduled to retire. A cheap classless act.

  7. Robert, a lot of work went into your thread today. It touches on a few topics. The era was from a time which most remember from their childhoods.

    3. Sorry you deleted the post as the JFK assassination interests me a lot. A grim event for sure, and so pivitol in defining US history since. Mary Meyer ( a Kennedy mistress) was also killed. Her husband Cord was with the CIA. When she died he declared that the murder was done by the same SOB’s who killed Kennedy. He would know.

      As an aside, love your upbeat and thoughtful posts. You are a welcome change ftom the many cynical people who post (myself included).

    4. I’ve read the accounts of snipers from WW11, Finns, Russians Germans etc. Guys who were professional killers for lack of a better phrase. It takes a certain kind of person to be able to train rifle sights on another human being and then pull the trigger. You’d have to have ice water in your veins and have the skill of an olympic professional to be able to pull it off. Very few individuals would qualify.

      Did LHO have sniper skills? It’s one thing to shoot at a paper target but it’s totally another matter to contemplate pointing a gun at another human with intent.

      Count me a skeptic when it comes to LHO as the guy who killed JFK. I have never heard/read that he had the requisite skill to pull it off. Maybe, but I doubt it.

    5. The Girl from Iwo Jima…that’s what we used to call it – ha. Played it many times (still do) and never tire of it. It’s a beautiful song, All of it, melody, chord pattern, lyrics, rhythm and then it’s sung in Portuguese!

      We will have to revisit it in the dead of winter. When ‘Old Man Winter’ is at his most vile. We can think of the beach at Ipanema, the warm sun gentle breeze and the Girl from Ipanema as she walks to the sea…..

    6. In 1964 I was 21 years old and a pro sax player working a lounge in Northern Quebec. I played that song every night for a drunk audience. Brings back memories …. I remember Kennedy being killed at that time. I was non political back then but it still hit me hard that such a thing could happen in such a country as the USA. I got an empty feeling that I didn’t like much.
