  1. well duh….

“Founded in 1833 and with a long history of social activism including the temperance movement, women’s rights and civil rights, Oberlin College is one of the most expensive four-year liberal arts colleges”

    1. Aaaaaand …. The world has it’s fill of black women’s and American Native studies majors and several black women’s and American Native studies studies retail shops and offices are closing due to complete and total lack of interest.

  2. They could save the jobs of hundreds of custodial and food service workers by closing their SJW departments or at least trimming all the “special groups” advisors.

  3. How does one spell “unsustainable”? Calling all English majors!
And they believed that allowing tens of millions of poor to cross Rio Grande would not affect quality of life.
    Wall is racist they said.

    1. That’s the idea … they want to push the middle class down economically so they become more dependent on Government and part of that plan is disarming the citizenry for obvious reason.

When you know that … everything makes more sense. One of the biggest hammers they use on us is the mythical Global Warming that will bankrupt us eventually …. as planned.

    1. Is it time we introduced the games of “Cowboys and Indians” to the children?.. Maybe Cowboys and the Enviro-nuts..

  4. Michelle Malkin is an Oberlin alumnus, she’s covered the whole shoddy fiasco from the beginning. In short, two Oberlin students caught shoplifting – without even the pathetic excuse of need, if you’re going to Oberlin you ain’t poor – were ejected without their ill-gotten gains, and likely warned that next time the cops would be brought in. Oberlin went full race-hate against the outfit, a family-owned bakery that’s been there a long time. The outfit sued for defamation and won, and what did Oberlin do? What does any “progressive” outfit do? You got it – they doubled-down, and went full REEEEE-fest. So the outfit took ’em back to court, showed solid evidence that the faculty and administrators were up-to-their eyes in it so it amounted-to “official” Oberlin policy, and had many millions added to the settlement for punitive damages.

Oberlin set-out to appeal, but I gather the judge has seen enough – they were ordered to post a bond for the full amount of the damages before they’d be allowed to. The bakery in question used to supply Oberlin with a lot of items; needless to say they’re persona-non-grata on campus now, but the settlement – should Oberlin not manage to weasel out of it – will keep them sitting pretty for many years.

Michelle mentions that she was discussing it with a college friend, who remarked “Yeah, Oberlin got what they deserved and clearly didn’t learn their lesson the easy way, but it’s still very embarrassing for an alumnus…” And Oberlin, naturally, continues to indignantly proclaim their innocence and shriekingly call the bakery racist.

Progressives – if they didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any…

    1. Rich victims are the most insufferable and damaging.

Oberlon is a good example of poor leadership and incompetent administration because they’re spending others’ money.

People who have to spend their own money make a settlement and move on. Not the vestigial intelligentsia.

Progressive. I’ve always found these folks quite unprogressive; in fact amoral, oblivious to the harm they do to citizens.

Then again they are all progressing to Marxism as their transactions of decline are double down upon at the expense of prosperity and liberty. Like salmon they must return to the stream where they were spawned, with gulags nearby.

The identity addled DeMarxists thought they had this all planned, the nation direct by their enriched benevolent despots.

Now they’re reduced to wondering which identity group will be blamed by rich, white male losing candidates.

Rich white men sabotaged them? Well certain ones? Or is it women; or woman? Too funny.

Thought of the day: with hectoring Hillary dissing Bernie, piling on after the DNC, maybe he runs as an independent?

    2. The most important part of this story that tends to get overlooked is this situation started on Nov 9, 2016 just one day after Trump won the election. The liberals at Oberlin were beside themselves Hillary lost/Trump won and needed something or someone to direct their anger at. It ended up being Gibson’s Bakery.

  5. Nice to see a few Lawyers have seen the Light…. Billions to be made In California’s Environmental Movement… Lying… thieving…. slime protected by the 9th circuit… Until they are GONE

BTW will contribute $ to send Nancy Pelosi on a Cruise ship

    1. Yeah, ain’t that the truth.
They claim to be for the little guy, but they only really fall for the people who know how to game the system, like union bosses and BLM organizers. They couldn’t care less for the real little guys who only want to make an honest living.
Of all the current prominent politicians, the only one who truly cares is President Trump. And my apologies to him for calling him a politician. History will recognize him as a true statesman.

    1. You really should read that article. It is a huge take-down of the Canadian Left and of virtue-signalling in general. Kay is an occasional-right-of-center mostly Red Tory who lives and works in the center of Toronto’s liberal, media complex and thus, he cannot be as easily dismissed as an Ezra or any random Sun columnist would be if they had written the same thing.

  6. Oberlin – where rich people send their ugly lesbian daughter embarrassment to get her the eff out of the house. If there was any hope of finding her a rich husband they would have sent her to Harvard.

  7. well.
has to be one of if not THE biggest example of Karma I’ve ever seen.
I got a 30 page document somewhere chronicling her involvement in my life and how
severely soooooo many bullies have been dealt with. sometimes very quickly, sometime decades but there it is.
