    1. To our American friends on this July 4th long weekend and to
our honorary Canadian, Kenji, since you adore our Justinian the Destroyer.
A song about the WHITE HOUSE:

Hats off to Hans who introduced this band Saturday. TQ

  1. You ain’t seen nothing yet

    Maxime Bernier
    @MaximeBernier

“Earlier today the official Twitter account for the Department of Justice had to issue a clarification after Maxime Bernier called the organization out for posting a worrying public announcement.”

and some of you here don’t think Max cannot get a majority

  2. Jeffrey Epstein, renowned purveyor of underage human flesh to Bill and Hillary Clinton, among other rich and famous globalists, has been arrested once more.

Charges similar to the ones he faces in New York on Monday were dropped in 2008, and an FBI investigation into his pimping shut down for fear it would expose the sex crimes of the Clintons, among many more important people in both parties and all important American institutions.

Why try again? It’s an attempt to libel Trump. Expect Jeff to walk, again, if he agrees to tell lies about the president, whom the left want desperately to make people believe is a pedophile.

(The president and Epstein occasionally crossed paths in New York and Florida high society. There is no evidence whatsoever that President Trump ever attended Epstein’s orgies. There is plenty of evidence that the Clintons did, many times.)

    1. Billionaire pedophiles walk. They can afford to buy lots of silence. They can afford to buy the most expensive FBI and DOJ operatives. I doubt Epstein is the slightest bit worried.

      1. Oh, of course he’ll walk. The price of making this go away again, though, I submit to you, will be bearing false witness against the president.

        1. Of course it will. But also months/years of innuendo against MY President will do the intended damage. As the case winds its way through the courts (led by James Comey’s “Republican” daughter) … MY President will be mentioned over and over and over … despite the fact he’s been exonerated from this case long ago. But a dishonest Press and their Deep State partners in Marxism will repeatedly refer to Trump’s … “involvement” in the case.

          1. Man, the Courts, Cops and Democrats are so intertwined you would think it’s the New Brunswick Legal Society where every single member is related to Liberal Codfather/PM Babysitter Dominic Leblanc!
(Hmmm,. I wonder if Comey is related to Leblanc.)

      1. Nancy Wilson admitted she “borrowed” the hammering guitar riff from a Nazareth song …

        https://youtu.be/P9uvpr_gm64

… Who borrowed it from Led Zeppelin’s Communication Breakdown. Nancy and her band mates were Led Zeppelin … uh … enthusiasts. That song is one of the best guitar tunes evah! Love the little harmonics she tosses in … and Damn! Ann Wilson was a cutie in her day.

        1. I saw Heart in concert a few years back. They played almost an hour of Led Zepplin – and killed it.

    1. In 1975, I attended their concert in the Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton. They put on quite a show.

In the months after the movie Saturday Night Fever was released, the soundtrack was quite popular. There were weekends during which I swear I could hear it coming from every other apartment in the complex I lived in at the time.

    2. The BeeGee’s music still sounds terrific. It was upbeat and melodic. Can’t go wrong. One of my husband’s buds and I occasionally sit down and watch one of their last concerts. It is fantastic.

    1. When you factor in taxes the move to CA probably makes sense.

NBA players could care less about the city or the fans. Good riddance.

      1. He not … be the North
Oh, and the white “actresses” who will drop their panties for an NBA Star are in greater abundance in SoCal.

        1. Indeed.

It’s not just ‘white’ actresses who drop ’em for the nba players. Have you seen the pic of Canadian hockey puck PK Subban wearing his girlfriend Lindsay Vonn’s bikini? Nauseating.

    1. CCR’s long been one of my favourite bands. Unfortunately, none of the members made much money from their recordings due to some under-handed contract negotiations.

John Fogerty took a swipe at that with one of his songs on the album Centrefield.

After I got my amateur radio callsign, I found out another reason to like the band: Stu Cook was a ham as well. His callsign, however, doesn’t appear to be active, unless my source got it wrong.

        1. An oldie, but a goodie.

The last I heard, John Fogerty’s still actively touring and drawing in crowds. Much of the material is his own as, from what I understand, the restrictions from his CCR days are still in effect.

          1. @ 5:55pm
I too really like the old CCR music. Of course Fogerty has that distinctive voice that a fan would follow anywhere. This is from “Centrefield” as well, and is of course Fogerty’s own work:

            https://youtu.be/3I5_zOrji9I

PS. A little secret, I actually tried twice to link one of two songs from “Centrefield” that you vaguely alluded to @ 09:52 am – it wouldnt go through, the whole ‘reply’ to you went, as they say in the Network,”high&dry!” That is why
@ 1:27 I just typed N4Q as per the last 3 # on the song, Wasn’t sure THAT would go through!
            Funny that!
            Wink!

      1. Love their albums, still some of my all time favorites. Went to a concert at the Oakland Coliseum back in the day. Absolute worst concert in history. Two hours late and a 45″ concert. They left the stage, the crowd went nuts attempting to lure them back for encores. Nothing. Nada. Zllch. I risked my life on BART to see that concert, and that was the thanks I received. Bxstards.

        1. Don’t know if that is the case with CCR but sadly some bands were so whacked out on one substance or another back in the day. One can tell from some of the YouTube concerts today. The sound system is way off.
Too bad about your experience though.

  3. Trudeau’s government at work. The Toronto Star reports that a new coast guard vessel is being used for parts.

  4. Katie Telford..in charge of Canadians minds and theatrers:
The movie “Unplanned” will be shown in a few theaters in Canada after all.
Katie Telford of PMO is not happy! How dare they allow people to see a movie that goes against Liberal
‘values’. She is being challenged on Twitter (via Ezra’s Twitter)
Best response so far is from Cineplex:
“Hi there, as a film exhibitor we provide our guests with movie choices. We believe it is up to the public to decide whether they would like to see a particular film and our guests can give voice to their opinions by choosing to buy a ticket to the movie or not.
    1:31 PM – 5 Jul 2019”

    1. Dammit. Now that sort of statement really leaves me no choice but to buy a ticket to something at a Cineplex theatre, even though it is likely that nothing that’s on interests me. Perhaps I can sleep through it.

    1. Went over to the Maple Crik ranch rodeo yesterday. What a great family event.

There are a lot of stressed crops in SE Alberta and SW Saskatchewan. Some are horrible and I saw one farmer reseeding to forage in the hope he can bale some for feed or last resort pasture. Many fields in the west are not fenced so pasture is not an option.

Rains are happening but they are not widespread.

  5. Lets see now. Raptors lose Lenord, Leafs out in first round.Argos worst team in CFL, Blue Jays in the tank.Looks good on T.O.

  6. Sad news. The ‘father’ of Bossa Nova Joao Gilberto has passed. He combined traditional music with American jazz to create what the world knows as Bossa Nova.

He was married to Astrud Gilberto who I mentioned here in the last week or two when the discussion turned to singing in Portuguese.

Probably the most recognized Gilberto tune is The Girl from Ipanema. Originally recorded in Portuguese it was recorded in English by Astrud Gilberto and became a pop hit. It has been covered countless times by everyone from Sinatra to the Supremes.

Joao Gilberto was a seminal figure in South American music. He suffered life long from mental illness and although his name had world recognition he died in penary.

    Adios amigo

      1. Thanks NR

Corcovado – Quiet Nights…it brought back memories of another life when I played bass in a polite jazz trio. We had a slinky gal singer. She’d do this tune. Not in Portuguese.

      1. Great concert. I hadn’t seen’heard this. Introduced me to some new material. That’s her son (and Joao’s) on electric bass. Thanks again NR.

She isn’t a performer she’s an artist. Lets her voice do the work. Hit’s every note smack dab in the middle. Sensuous.

    1. It’s the Ninth Circuit, Twit.
They’ve been turned over more than your imaginary boyfriend.
      Buy a clue.

      1. That’s only because they issue a lot of decisions. IIRC their rate of overturn is not that high.

  7. A new Globe and Mail editorial explains that Jason Kenney and Doug Ford are evil for investigating their opponents. Don’t be evil, join Team Trudeau.

  8. Instead of worrying about phony-baloney “climate change”, people should be concerned about the hazards posed by near-earth objects, as the incident in Russia a few years ago and the Tunguska impact in 1908 showed.

Any city or country that gets hit by a space rock or even a comet is going to have a bad day. Of course, nutters like Prinz Dummkopf and Climate Barbie will blame it all on a “climate emergency”.

One means of detecting NEOs is under consideration:

    https://spacenews.com/report-makes-case-for-space-based-asteroid-tracking-telescope/

One group, the B-612 Foundation, has been dedicated to this for more than 15 years. Among its members are former Apollo 9 astronaut Rusty Schweickart and former space shuttle astronaut Dr. Ed Lu.

  9. Putin

So, the liberal idea has become obsolete. It has come into conflict with the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population. Or take the traditional values.

I am not trying to insult anyone, because we have been condemned for our alleged homophobia as it is.

But we have no problems with LGBT persons.

God forbid, let them live as they wish.

But some things do appear excessive to us.

    The Putin G20 interview
Here is the complete text of the interview of the Russian president with the Financial Times, which is well worth reading in its entirety. And straight from the Kremlin too!

  10. Ha ha ha ha … Steve Hilton called Creepy GrandUncle Biden … a “knackered” old swamp creature. Ha ha ha ha … I love Brit-slang. Knackered indeed!

    1. The word “knackered” is a good one for that hardened, worn out old guy, Kenji. Perhaps he can be compared to a Swedish hard bread or crispbread as in “knäckebröd”, the flat, thin, brittle and unleavened bread! Ha!
The Brits have made the English language a universal one.

BTW – Tonight : Our Canadian News people said that Biden was ahead of Your President in the polls, didn’t give a figure cuz it’s fake news.

  11. One of Joe’s problems is that he tells the ugly Truth… He has said that Russia did not/would not dare interfere with Obama/Biden Administration during the 2016 Election… YES! the Russian Hoax was a Hoax…. and was driven by the MSM & FBI/CIA & the feeble minded… The MSM will not ask follow-up questions (dishonesty = Evil intent) and his statement will be attributed to delusion…..Joe knows Bull ###t….
