We appear to have reached a point in history where a card carrying Democrat Socialist of America member, proclaiming how much they love the Progressive movement, how much they want socialism brought into effect in every country on earth, condemn every “right-winger” as a bigoted Nazi sympathizer and then … go carry out an extremely violent act and still the M.A.D. (Media-Academia-Democrats) leaders and their NPC followers would blame this on the right.

    They were sensible as far as they went. Synagogues in the diaspora have beefed up their security over the years as Islamization progressed. Once the FBI is reformed, Trump should encourage the agency to remove the Jewish Defense League from the FBI’s list of terror organizations.

    But the awful truth is that until the happy day that the enemies of the Jews are removed from power from the Potomac swamp to the ends of the earth—for good—pious Jews will only be completely safe in Israel, under the protection of a government committed to securing the existence of the Jewish people and a future for Jewish children.

    2. I’m more than half convinced the Gab takedown was a stalking horse by Gab. High availability for a cloud-hosted app is a solved problem, and they have a very large operating cash stash. Joyent is located in San Francisco; what was Gab expecting?

  12. Consider the sheeple. They typify human nature. The whole New Age movement was supposed to be about, I think, evolving to encompass a wider view of our place in the Universe. Or something. How did that work out? As a species we seem to be stuck in repeated cycles of behavior. I am a creature of habit too. I don’t consider that a virtue.
    I believe in free will. I exercise it too rarely.

    I apologize for the downer, but we are outnumbered and outgunned. Hold to your freedom in every way you can manage. Help others if you are able. KevTO is one of the few who uses the word. courage is needed to keep one’s freedom and embracing any form of socialism is a reduction in personal freedom.

  14. Don’t flame me for writing this, but from1966 to 1970 I was a radical leftist student studying at a university in Pittsburgh. Then, for two years, I was a member of the radical left Students for a Democratic Society (before it turned violent). Anyways, nearly all members of that small group were Jewish Americans, so as a young man this was my first introduction to Jewish culture. Then I was poor and had to work my way through school, and I was helped by these Jewish friends. I knew Squirrel Hill and the Shadyside areas well, though I can’t remember the synogogue in question.

    I watched some of the coverage on Fox News yesterday, and was taken by the fact that, when a Jewish-American was interviewed by KDKA, the person did not cry or panic, but answered the questions matter-of-factly. This led me to thinking that Jews, given their history, are a tough and resilient lot. Part of my conversion from leftism to conservatism was to read Israel’s history, and the Jews living up to 1948 and thereafter had to go through a lot. They still do. The posts on this thread sound too dispairing. I hate Naziism with a passion, and what happened in Pittsburgh is an example of Naziism. Much of Nazi mentality resides now with radical Islam, and that sordid ideology is protected by the left.

    1. David, as you may be aware, Islam and Naziism had very close ties particularly during WWII. Hitler and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem met during the conflict and mutually supported each other. The Ba’ath party was, in many respects, the leftovers of the Nazi party in the middle east.

    1. No attempted murder charges tells us they weren’t packed with any type of explosive even, as I suspected on seeing the first CNN fake bomb photos, fireworks’ black powder.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist and my eyes glaze over when someone starts setting up the parameters of one, but during the 2016 election something occurred to me…I guess in the stream of the “Clinton body count”. It seemed to me that every time Hillary was getting terrible press…Benghazi, email deletion etc. , a black man got shot by a white police officer. I did do a cursory check and found the dates did always align and Hillary never endured more than a day or two before the headlines were quickly replaced with breathless coverage of the shooting and the riots that followed, almost on cue. Then the polls came out very recently with poor showings for Dems and….package bombs and shooter appear.

    It’s uncanny.
