    1. Swoosh is the sound of your share price dropping when you employ post-modernist MBAs in your marketing department?

    2. I’d say it’s the largest portion of their market…..Nike didn’t exactly corner the millennial market

  1. Nike is saying “JustDont”. Well, in our house we will take it to heart and Just Dont buy anymore Nike products.
Somewhat related, we have not purchased any Kelloggs cereals since they decided to enter the ‘gender’ fray in a SJW way.

  2. Always loved the Air Monarchs, great on the knees and feet.

But no more, ever. Going political is the WORST move that corporations can make. Nike just stuck a finger in the eyes of millions of consumers. Stupid move.

  3. You would think a company smart enough to make their products in China….wouldn’t be this stupid
    /snark

  4. I suspect that Nike just hired the same new PR firm that the NFL did.

I posted this a week or so ago, but thought anyone who missed it then may appreciate it in relationship to this story.

Gilbert Gottfried Mocks NFL In Hilarious Sketch

    https://www.dailywire.com/news/34970/watch-gilbert-gottfried-mocks-nfl-hilarious-sketch-joseph-curl

WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE….. VULGAR may be more accurate seeing as it’s Gottfried.

I hope he does another sketch for the Nike boardroom.

    1. Please don’t link garbage like that. It’s more than offensive and not the least funny.

p.s. If you want a civil society, giving that a platform of any sort will not aid in the quest.

      1. Ha, both Don Trump Jr and Dailywire, among many others, have been publicly promoting this sketch. Maybe, just maybe, because lots of conservatives, just like me, find it hilarious.

“WARNING: GRAPHIC LANGUAGE….. VULGAR may be more accurate seeing as it’s Gottfried.”

If you are so easily offended, then don’t blame me for your completely ignoring my FREAKING CRYSTAL CLEAR(and rather considerate, I think) DISCLAIMER. Your Welcome.

  5. All my Nike shit to the Sally Ann. I will feel excellent about the charity, and even happier to get rid of the crap. Will never buy them again.

    1. I don’t give to the salvation army; they are tied to planned parenthood. Fruit of the poisoned tree and all.

        1. I talked to a young woman in the Salvation Army a few weeks ago, who said that the Salvation Army refused to sign the attestation box — the attestation to say one agreed with the federal Liberals on abortion — as part of receiving federal money in the Canada Summer Jobs program. The Salvation Army receives considerable federal money for its anti-poverty work, so the SA is being hush-hush about their opposition to the attestation controversy. But the SA is definately anti-abortion.

          1. and yet if feminist groups were required to sign an attestation supporting right to life…in order to receive funding…we would have purple haired fatties herding around, swearing and thankfully not burning their bras.

          2. From Way down here in MissouRAH, the SA seems to be trying to not take any political position on the topic of abortion; it isn’t their business. To either support or oppose abortion hurts their interaction with the donor population. I am guessing that most SA professionals oppose abortion but they really oppose homelessness, poverty, malnutrition, dispair, etc. Signing on to a political screed [pro or con] entangles their core functions with extraneous noise. Nike stepped into a political contest that will not help their image or their sales. SA seems to say, “No, thank you”.

      1. Really? The Salvation Army is tied to Planned Parenthood? I would like to know if that is an actual fact.

      2. as a Salvationist I take exception to your post. we do now nor ever have supported abortion.

  6. My kids are grown up and I haven’t bought any Nike for years. Too bad, I’d love to meaningfully boycott them.

  7. The cognitive dissonance inherent within putting the worship of a symbol of freedom as more important than respect for what the symbol represents would be alarming if it weren’t so common…

    Kinda reminds me of this…

Mat 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

    1. Beyond that, it’s part of a campaign to divide the populace to such an extent they will welcome a predetermined solution for ‘peace’.

1Th 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

      1. Hmmm …
It happens again and again and again in the long history and happened many times in the 20th century.

That is precisely how dictators, national socialists, fascist, socialists, communists get into power.
Just watch the so called “Democratic” party of the US push socialism.
The minds of “Democrats” are completely corrupt, run out of ideas on how to acquire and hold on to power. They have one though, give the masse pretend free stuff.
It’s quite possible that they will introduce full time socialism in the US. It would seem that @50% would vote for them.
The New York Times, The Washington Post and the whole media cartel are working on the proper syntax to make it palatable to the masses. That they, the ruling class will live in a life of luxury supported by the plebeians is guaranteed.
Until they run out of other people’s money.
Don’t know if I want to be present for that, though it may be entertaining.

  8. I don’t buy shit made in china. If 8 year old children need to work in factories, I want no part of it. I’m the guy you see shopping that’s looking all over the item to find the country of origin. I also don’t buy clothing, hats or shoes with some cheese-dick logo on it. That skanky check mark on a shirt just means that you are stupid enough to pay to advertise some company. They (nike, etal) just set around the board room and laugh at you schmucks. Don’t be like a leming on the way to the sea. Grow the hell up.

    1. Elsewhere someone posted about the hypocrisy of the left-wing Nike supporting Colin Kaepernick, all the while running sweatshops with child labour in Asia. And now with this new controversy, the left wingers who will be supporting Nike will have to live with this hypocrisy as well.

    2. Congrats you’ve wasted your money because of a neurotic obsession with country of origin and supposed evils of ‘child labour’. “Grow up” indeed.

  9. Nike’s PAC contributions are evenly split 50:50 between Republicans and Democrats:

    http://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/lookup2.php?cycle=2018&strID=C00142786

    and… (somewhat surprising!):

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/08/16/nike-boss-phil-knight-donates-500000-to-oregon-gop-candidate.html

*I’m an Asicis guy, since 1980, wish they made hiking boots too.

** ridiculing the unsigned Mr. Kaepernick seems a great sport at the moment. Have at ‘er

  10. Funny comment on this story at Ace of Spades:
Once scored 4 touchdowns in one game, now selling shoes. Why does that sound familiar?

    Al Bundy

  11. Having former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahminadinnerjacket praise both Kaep and Nike following the release of this campaign was a bold stroke of marketing genius.
Now, where are my British Knights sneakers…

  12. Life was a LOT SIMPLER when I grew up. We ALL (the athletes) wore ONE shoe, and one shoe only. Every day, for every occasion.

    https://youtu.be/3lU-jb4iu3w

In black. Nothing but black. The only “air” on our feet … came from our own athleticism … not some pumped-up kicks.

    Time to re-simplify my life.

    1. Nike bought Converse in 2003.
It’s bad news I know, but unhappy and informed Trumps ignorance.
      sorry…

  13. NIKE is directly responsible for the DEATHS of more black kids than any police Dept. in America. By making $250.00 limited edition, “black hero”, pumped-up kicks … they’ve put a target on the chest of anyone bold enough to wear those attractive nuisances in public.

NIKE is simply attempting to assuage their own GUILT. White Guilt.

    https://youtu.be/UDScdPrf4N8

  14. The way that I see it is Nike did their market research. This research verified that their sales were predominantly to those who felt that Nike was a status symbol. This group felt that the Nike brand was such a high status that they would either pay $319 and/or were willing to rob and steal for their Air Jordans. Profit margins were HUGE. They noted that competition from other shoe makers was increasing. The decided to double down to hold market share in their primary market.

Market research showed that their primary market was predominately black and hispanic. What more is there to say.

    1. Exactly! And BTW … ESPN did the same calculation. They are well aware their audience is young people and the unemployable who are in mommy’s basement (or federally subsidized housing) watching PTI in the middle of the afternoon.

      1. Most leftists hate sports, considering it “opium of the people” so I cannot see this as a winning strategy.

  15. So Nike decides to hook up with this miserble little twat well then GOODBYE NIKE TAKE HIKIE lets hope they suffer losses like Dick the Pricks Sporting Goods

  16. I just googled “charities tied to planned parenthood”, this was the first link

    https://m.facebook.com/notes/the-drew-mariani-show/list-of-charities-and-organizations-that-are-linked-to-planned-parenthood-andor-/223486397683559/?__tn__=H-R

    https://fightpp.org/projects/cfp-boycott/

People who are willing to put more time and effort into the research than me.

I do not know if Sally Anne used to give to PP and stopped, or if it continues. All I know is that at one point they did.

    1. FYI I decided on a Nissan as my next vehicle years ago, as Nissan was a company that stopped giving to PP.

Don’t give your money to people who hate you.

  17. This here guy just started to outfit in Nike gear.
Suddenly, today it came to crashing end.
I do hope with all good will, Nike is going to pay dearly for this.

There is nothing like a bad balance sheet to get you to pay attention.

  18. Of course the retards comprising this board would go Full Spaz Attack over Kaepnerick’s long-standing deal with Nike. Because kneeling during the anthem is LITERALLY RAPING MERICA !!!1

    CryingEagle.png

    1. As usual, overstate what others say or believe. Why don’t you full Dem and make up the whole thing?

Outrage? No, disgust. And yes, Nike, unlike government, relies on voluntary transactions, so our opinion actually matters.

BTW, it isn’t Republicans screaming about people dying, over a SCOTUS nominee for instance, so get off your high horse.

      1. No instead it’s Republicans losing their minds over kneeling during the anthem (which should not even be played during sports) and yes being disgusted at that = losing your mind.

        1. Poor reading comprehension skills?

Where are your examples of Republicans “losing their minds?” When they’re stating their opinion?

Oh God the outrage of it all.

Are they trying to disrupt Hearings? Are they trying to overturn an election? Are they enabling goons with DeMarxist leaders exhorting people to violence against those who dare to disagree with them. Are they bypassing FISA Courts with AG emergency powers, with the bogus “Russians hacked the DNC” falling on the same day Lynch was required to send substantiation to the FISC? Two fake, two fakes in one, Doubledown Dems.

You are so far from removed from reality you need sunshine piped into your location.

          1. Well said, but you are wasting your time replying to the leftist troll.

Btw, to those commenting above. I don’t believe for one minute that Sally Ann supports the abortionistas.

          2. “Where are your examples of Republicans “losing their minds?” When they’re stating their opinion?”

Here, the people stating their ridiculous “opinion” that kneeling during the anthem is some betrayal of America.

Oh and if you’re still pretending the Russians didn’t hack the DNC you should not be talking about being removed from reality.

        2. So no “Oh Canada” at NHL games either? You’re a pathetic immigrant interloper. I guess there aren’t any professional sports leagues in your shithole of origin.

  19. Nike board room. Standing before a Powerpoint with laser pointer is Regina Corporata.

“And now, ladies and gentlemen, in response to my commission to find a new, contravercial take on DOIT for the slogan’s 30th anniversary, I have taken a page from the NFLs playbook. I am confident this will win lots of publicity”.

  20. Stopped buying Nike long ago because of their continued support of losers, and frankly their products are also not that great anymore, certainly not running shoes.

And given this news I will continue my Nike ban for a very long time.

  21. Nothing is going wrong. Quite the opposite. Nike has done well establishing itself as the anti-corporate company for young upstarts but it couldn’t be farther from the truth.
They are the largest athletic shoe and apparal company in the world generating billions every year on the backs of 3rd world labour.
Rest assured they have gamed this a thousand ways and have calculated with all the free publicity they will make bank on selling Kaepernick crap regardless of how many on the right boycott.
If the left were smart, which they aren’t, they would realize wearing Nike clothes with the swoosh across your chest is as smart as a Greenpeace activist wearing Enron clothes… but this isn’t about smarts, it’s about money.

  22. The lamestream press are really pushing this one hard for some reason.

  23. I got ya all beat. I have NEVER bought nike anything. or any of the other big name $200 friggin running shoes aka ‘sneakers’ my ma would pick up at the local discount instead for 8 bucks back in the early 60s.
