Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney failed to secure the Utah Republican Party’s nomination for Senate on Saturday, triggering a June primary.
In the final round of voting at the party’s convention, state Rep. Mike Kennedy (R) won 50.88 percent of the vote, with Romney following with 49.12 percent.
Because neither candidate secured 60 percent, the two will head to a June statewide Republican primary.
They just need time to get to know him better.

I am split on term limits, it’s an especially terrible idea for judges. They need to be kept independent. Term limits for pols probably just means that the few good ones you get will have to leave soon, and the loonies just get replaced by other loonies. The problem is not ‘The Establishment’ it’s the people.

I am NOT opposed to them rerunning for appt/election AFTER a given term is ended due to the limit. in fact it would be an EXCELLENT measure of popularity *based on performance and not ‘favours owed’*.
