Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Yeah well, the union has a cash flow problem……….spending too much on bribes……
The problem with buying people in the US, especially politicians and bureaucrats…..is they don’t stay bought…..ya can only rent them.
Union meatheads and Ontario Government dickheads have never been forced to answer this question: when you’ve finally succeeded in shutting down every business in this province/state, where’s you salary going to come from?
Some want out but they are trapped by (what else?) rules and regulations.

How long has the ‘golden goose’ fable been around? What does it take for these people to catch on – or how many times does a lesson have to be repeated? Union members seem to believe they are exempt from the laws of commerce, supply and demand.
Here’s another example from just today. Nanaimo school teachers (B.C. Teachers Federation) took the first day of school ‘off’ as a “Success For All Day” program – the rationale was that the minimum number of teaching hours had been scheduled and therefore there was no need to be in school and in front of their students. “When we looked at that we had more than the required number of hours, so it allowed us to provide the Success for All days,” said Donna Reimer, school district spokeswoman. Last year, the first ever Success for All day was held at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, at a cost of $63,000.
That’s the union mentality – teach the minimum required amount and then bleat about schools being underfunded.
The difference here of course is that the ‘business’ can never go out of business and the taxpayer is a virtually unkillable golden goose.
I hope Iowa Jim keeps us informed of how this turns out.
At least these farm workers seem to be fighting back against the union and the bureaucrats, but generally they believe whatever lies the union tells them. Bin there done that, forty-five years ago.
Gerawan Farming has two opponents, the union which essentially wants to control the farm and a government that agrees and hates business.
Forget California. What about Ontario?!

As with almost every issue that turns up here, it clearly demonstrates that coercion is the problem, and freedom is the solution consistent with the principles of justice.
This is That, is a spoof , kind of like what you read in the Onion.I agree that coming out of Ontario, nothing would surprise me.
