  1. Andy by 2020 Canada has faded from the list. I guess those carbon taxes are working. Sarc.

  2. We are caught up in a business plan.. The moment Colleges and Universities started offering zero carbon (like) courses is the moment our? government was obliged to create jobs for them.. Every day the zero carbon army of self interest grows larger..

A self fulfilling prophesy that has nothing to do with results.. It itself becomes the reason to be and it will measure itself as it see’s fit..
Who doesn’t want to save the world? Who doesn’t want a sweet job?..

We have a Minister of the Environment and Climate Change?.. What do you think that guy is doing all day long?.. Hanging out with his friends $$$.. A top down social economic coup that has no place to go but political tyranny.. Every day their army (that your funding) grows larger.. Every day you get smaller.. Time is running out..

  3. When China annexes Taiwan you can tack on another 280M tonnes to China’s total output.

  4. Recently, Greta Thunberg used this report to chastise China for their emissions output. The response from just about every Chinese media outlet was brutal and hilarious. They really let her have it. One told her to hire a better PR team. Then, just about every social media platform in China made her a target resulting in millions of none too complimentary responses.

I’m not stupid. I know that the media outlets and the social media platforms are all state sponsored and deliver the approved message. But it was funny none-the-less.

    1. Entirely right, Orson. Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 demonstrated why the enviros never attempt any protest in China. Protest signs are not useful protection against getting driven over by tanks. So they confine themselves to soft Western nations which won’t turn them into roadkill.

This was reinforced again in the 2019-20 Hong Kong riots. Despite a million demonstrators, Emperor Xi squashed them again.

And this is the regime which Justatwit admires. Perhaps he should join them to see if he does any better in protecting against tank treads.

      1. I’m sure the average citizen of China has more pressing concerns than carbon emissions.

    2. That’s what Greta gets when she goes up against a regime that is basically the USSR 2.0.

  5. As long as people continue to allow themselves to be ruled by fear campaigns, this craziness will continue. Weaponizing fear has been the go-to move for as long as I can remember. People need to be less gullible.

On a related note, this year’s Fear of the Year is the era of global boiling. But, did any “experts” mention this happened last year :

    Aug 2, 2022
Tonga Eruption Blasted Unprecedented Amount of Water Into Stratosphere

“The huge amount of water vapor hurled into the atmosphere, as detected by NASA’s Microwave Limb Sounder, could end up temporarily warming Earth’s surface…The excess water vapor injected by the Tonga volcano, on the other hand, could remain in the stratosphere for several years.”

    1. Link:

Now a cynical mind might think that climate change fear mongers, who have known since last year that surface temps would rise because of the underwater volcanic eruption, might try to spin any warming this year from the naturally occurring event as evidence of catastrophic AGW. Without mentioning other variables…like the huge volcanic eruption. They might even declare the temporary surface warming caused by the massive release of water vapour as human caused Global Boiling. Deceptive marketing strategy or Science?

        Follow the money. Always.

This is a TRILLION dollar industry that produces exactly nothing of value but employment for the paid shills who push this crap every day all day.

        1. Yep, marketing and deception.

It being an El Nino year also has a temperature effect. Plus the Tonga volcanic eruption last year. Add in that the media has switched from reporting air temperatures (2 meters above surface) to ground temps. No surprise that the temperatures look spiked.

Pretty easy to see what they’re doing here. A Plague of Global Deception and Era of Global Bullshit.

  6. Notice that Russian emissions collapsed about the same time that the Russian government and economy collapsed in 1991?

Also, US “CarbonEmissions” have actually decreased appreciably since 2000?

Their goal is lower our carbon emissions to the level of Zimbabwe, never realizing that we will also have the economy, lifestyles, and life expectancy of Zimbabweans.

    1. Oil shortages led to a collapse in USSR output. They were literally between major oil peaks. Oil production dropped 20-30% between 1986 and 1991. They ended up selling a lot of their oil on the world market to keep theie economy going. And to do it, they cut Eastern Europe off cheap oil. Not good for industrial activity.

  7. Face it, it’s not about stopping pollution- if it were the global leaders could shun China and ban their products. Instead they want us to starve and freeze to death while allowing China to poison the planet without so much as a peep from the left.

  8. Let’s be clear…..the global warming scam was started decades ago by Maoists around the world including frauds like Maurice Strong, et al and it is designed to do one thing only….and that is to enrich China at the expense of the rest of the world. China is the only country that benefits from this nonsense.

    1. Agreed, but one other country benefited: the USSR. The USSR produced nothing that any other nation wanted except oil and gas. So the Soviets financed much of the Western world’s antinuclear groups and Green parties with a view to creating a built-in dependency on Russian oil and gas. And it worked. That’s why Yuri Andropov was named Brezhnev’s successor.

And as you noted,Canada helped with its own gang of Maoists like Strong. He was in a direct position to cripple one of the world’s largest nuclear operators: Ontario Hydro. And in doing so, he created the opportunity for Ontario’s Green Energy Program.

  9. Around 65 million years ago when primates began to make an appearance on earth, the carbon in the atmosphere measured at 2700 parts per million. It was even much larger than before that time. Today the carbon in the atmosphere measures at 400 parts per million. 0 carbon is nothing more than a big scam.

  10. I’ve been thinking about it and a 1,300 square foot pod on a quarter acre of land would suit me. And so would the bugs, as long as they moo.

  11. And we buy solar panels that produce nothing from Chiang which they make using lots of coal
