“New Zealand might adopt new “UN” science curriculum without physics and chemistry”

In comments at that Jo Nova item

“There is an organisation in NZ called Family first. They are I assume a conservative minded group. I have nothing to do with them but they recently published an analysis of the RSE guidelines, the link for which, is above.

The following comes from their analysis linked below.

In Science, your child will “consider how biological sex has been constructed and measured over time” and “consider variations in puberty, including the role of hormone blockers.”

In Technology, your child will “identify how gender expectations are embedded in technology, for example, in the design and style of power tools and other tools…” and “explore symbols linked to the gay and transgender rights movements.”

In the Arts, your child will “consider plays with roles that do not conform to gender stereotypes.”

In the Social Sciences, your child will be encouraged to explore the “…development and persistence of gender stereotypes (for example, by researching the #MeToo movement).”

  2. If you were puzzled by the great uprising in Russia, then you’re not alone.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/prigozhin-went-to-russia-to-get-pistol-given-by-shoigu-2023-7

“Prigozhin last month led thousands of Wagner troops-for-hire in an armed revolt against the Russian military in the most significant threat to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s power in decades.”

“After hours of marching, Prigozhin eventually turned his forces back saying he wanted to avoid bloodshed.”

“Lukashenko said days after the mutiny that Prigozhin had arrived in Belarus”.

“Independent Russian news outlet Fontanka reported that Prigozhin was back in St. Petersburg early this week”.

“Prigozhin was in St. Petersburg earlier this week to collect the weapons that Russian authorities took from his house during the uprising.”

In summary, Prigozhin led a mutiny against Putin but “after hours of marching” gave up and went to Belarus, but in fact actually went to his cottage in St. Petersburg to pick up his weapons and gold. And you haven’t heard the last of Prigozhin. And the MSM takes itself seriously.

  3. With interest rates set to rise contemplate this. A $450k mortgage currently @ 2% renews @ 5%. You now need to come up with an additional $700/month to meet your mortgage payment.
Shouldn’t be a problem should it?

    1. Doesn’t bother me at all.

However, look for progressive Democrats to launch legal proceedings to get him out, saying his rights were violated.

  4. BBC is now reporting that 5 days after the ‘mutiny’ Priggy and the Wagner bosses met with Vlad in Moscow.

Maybe there never was a mutiny? Maybe the west just got played, or the west staged the whole scenario?

    I smell a rat.

  5. Another transgender cyclist (she’s the one with the bulge in her pants) wins by over 4 minutes.

So they are changing the rules to Female (born female), Male (identify as male) and Open (have at ‘er). Note the clever word-play between male and female. The next series of complaints will be when men start competing against trans in the open category and taking the prize money and trophies.
