Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Wasn’t the area it’s traveling through supposed to have wind turbines built it that area in the near future?

Cool.

There’s also a Google Earth overlay, courtesy of the US Navy, here:

Save it and then open it and it will launch Google Earth with a pretty good storm track overlay.
Thank god Trudeau will be there to tour the wreckage and then sing “I’m a wreck” by imagine dragons and then head out for a ski trip.

It is neat. The wind speeds shown are not exactly devastating.
I thought the same thing. If that was mi./hr it wouldn’t even be that bad but it’s in km/h. And it shouldn’t pick up more energy as it’s moving into cooler waters and quite far from land.
The coastal wind speeds aren’t much. In southern Alberta we call that Tuesday.
