    The just us system has been denying bail for spurious reasons and bringing non-violent offenders into the courtroom in shackles for decades, but that was for things like smokin’ a joint or exercising your right to remain silent, or as cops call it “being aggressive and not cooperating.”, and no-body minded it then.

    1. Years ago, while being in the viewer gallery in support of a young offender, there was also a girl brought into the courtroom. She was in shackles and manacles. The chains clanged loudly in the courtroom while she worked her way to the prisoner’s box.
      On the way out, she recognised a prominent youth lawyer (who is now a judge) and the guard did not stop her while she beelined straight for him. She asked if he was the lawyer in question and then asked him to represent her as well. He went out with her while the chains clanged away.

Plus they are a registered charity so you get a tax receipt and Turdo can’t freeze your bank account for giving to them.

  10. These two people, who founded the Freedom Convoy, are now political prisoners to the point where Tamara Lich was brought into the courtroom today for her bail hearing in leg shackles. She has been denied bail for 2 1/2 weeks on the charge of mischief as is Pat King. Our courts are a swinging gate where murderers are given bail. This abomination is purely punishment for daring to protest as protected by the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. This is Trudeau and his petty reaction to his staggering poor handling of the protest and his embarrassment by government leaders around the world.

    In my humble opinion if Trudeau had of met with these protestors instead of running away and hiding the caravan would have packed it in after a few days of non-violent action and saved the later harassment they caused the citizens of Ottawa to suffer.

Once Trudeau is disposed, an investigation into misappropriation of taxpayer funds for climate change funding, insider ‘covid spending’ (nudge nudge wink wink), out of country influence spending and general fraud can begin. And of course, the miscreants will be placed in shackles and denied bail.
    An additional thought, if there is any money left over from the legal fees, offer a bounty for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Trudeau (over two years so he has to resign) and his chief henchscum. Love to see the liberal front bench in the dock.
