Recently riots have occurred in the Solomon Islands over that government’s cozy relationship with China. Other nations are being sold out to China by their governments, in order to pad their bank accounts. Can the West contain China?
The Chinese are buying up Commonwealth countries.

It could be done. But people would have to make sacrifices. Only a select few are willing. Every great nation and/or civilization ended on that note. No one learns from history and history always repeated itself.
Canada will do nothing to change anything as the government embraces communism and China is to be emulated.

This is what I’ve been saying to people of late. Is there any doubt this is what’s happening across the west? Politicians getting billions in bribes, hush money, or shady business arrangements (hello Hunter Biden!) so that China can slowly and surely take over the world. Case in point:

Well, China’s crappy products are contained and floating offshore.
Younger Western people won’t know what hit them – in fact they won’t even know they’ve been hit because they know nothing of history…..or pretty much anything else. All by design, and much of that by unwitting design.

We have been saying for 40 years that the Canadian governments maintaining a cheap dollar has made our assets and companies a target for take over of strategic status by foreign banks and companies.
Many Canadians being deceived by the rhetoric that a low dollar is good for our exports. Very short sited and suicidal.

There’s a big difference between owning politicians and owning nations. Unfortunately, that difference will be more obvious in places like the Solomon Islands than in places like Canada.
The first step would be to recognize that there is no separation of business and the CCP. All Chinese corporations are an extension of the CCP. All purchases of foreign assets are also linked to the CCP. Last week, Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase apologized for saying that his Bank will outlast the CCP. That’s an example of how well they have penetrated the west. All of their business interests are an extension of the CCP. There should be a ban on all Chinese purchases of western business and financial assets which will play hell on the US dollar because the US has outsourced manufacturing to China giving them US dollars to get rid of by buying western assets.
China’s demographics are disastrously bad – even worse than the West’s. The one child policy set a new social model in place, industrialization made women rich(er) and (more) materialistic, and slave labor working conditions leave the men thinking there’s no point in doing more than the bare minimum. So marriage rates and birth rates are abysmally bad. Meanwhile the population that did all the industrialization work is getting old, and will have to retire.
Wait 20-30 years. China will cease to be a problem.
Whether any functional societies are left in the West at that point to take advantage of it is another question.
No, China can’t be contained.
They will increasingly use their numbers, which of course are vast, to intimidate hell of other nations, until the other nations stop it by isolating China by not buying their stuff.
It will not show in the beginning, after all they have over a billion of potential consumers.
Heh … there, the question may be, can the vast majority afford to buy the stuff.
Anyway, the way it is, since they have the numbers, they don’t need to listen to any threat and they know it.
So what yer gonna do?
Then there is one threat that they probably will not be able to handle mentioned by Colonialista above. Although at the time of the cultural revolution, the meme in other communist ruled countries was that they, the Chines, don’t care how many may die, there is plenty of supply.
