      1. Said everybody’s Pop on the street when I was growin up…Said mine at least once a week while I pumped gas for him in his gas station.

    1. For me it was “the world doesn’t owe you anything”.

There’s a problem with that statement, when followed to its logical conclusion. If by “the world” we mean “all the people in the world”, then each person is 1/7billionth of “the world”. So my one-seven billionth doesn’t owe anything to each of the other seven billionths. Add it up, and nobody owes the world anything either.

      1. Question B A. Being as no one has a clue just what this virus is supposed to be, how can we tell if we have natural immunity? Just what virus is being tested for?

        1. Since I’m not a physician, I’m only speculating here.

I’m assuming that the Virus (it now seems to be the only one in existence now, as every ailment is now attributed to it) has characteristics that are similar to others in that category. If that’s the case, I would think that the human immune system would react to it in a similar fashion.

I would think that those characteristics and metabolic reactions would be of interest.

          1. B A . I believe you are correct. I read recently that the Flu, Common Cold, and any other cold season sickness we get all have at least a couple of the markers that Covid-19 has. So if you are tested for the “real scary one”; if you have any of the other symptoms you will get a positive test. I have also noticed that the Flu and Common cold were not as prevalent over the last year and a half. “Funny that”…..Steve O

          2. My thoughts as well. Of course then that would mean all the experimental shots are based on nothing.

  1. Kate Thanks for the Bad Bulls video…I raised one I thought would work out he was a Black AngusxBrahma. And was nasty as hell. The boys named him Satan. And he was evil. But not enough killer for Alberta Cowboys. He did a circuit with a rodeo stock contractor I know But did not have the juice. Got shit canned.

    1. Off to freezer camp eh? I recall taking one of my city raised grandsons to his first rodeo and he was intrigued. The bull riders were last and after the first cowboy got chucked off he turned to me with HUGE eyes and said, “Grandpa those guys are crazy!”

      1. Yah for sure. Got pictures somewhere of a lot of kids and grandkids and rodeo’s.
        Rodeo’s are just fun.

    2. Listen to Tom Russell, ‘All this way for a Short Ride’ from Indians Cowboys and Dogs

      A bull riding song

    1. Last week, on my trip back to Edmonton from my house in Fort St. John, I stopped in Valleyview. I spoke for a while with an American “musher” who on his way to Fairbanks, with a dog team housed in cages in the back of his truck.

One of the dogs was a nursing female and her puppies were in her cage. They were adorable balls of canine fur, yelping with joy when Mom rejoined them after she was outside to be fed and watered at the stop.

      1. I have a very soft spot in my heart for dogs. My oldest son when he was a toddler was very very sick and in the hospital. t was touch and go for awhile.
I was with him day and night. Finally he started to pull out of it, and I asked him what he wanted more than anything in the world.
If it was in my power I would find a way. He said Daddy I want a puppy. I just smiled.
When I went to the cafeteria for a sandwich and a coffee. I scanned the bulletin board and my goodness. There was a notice just put up free puppies.
        WalkerxBlack and Tan Hounds.
I went to a pay phone and a nice Lady answered and said my son could have the pick of the Litter. he would wait on him…
Well he was released in a couple of days, he seemed to get stronger each day as I told him he had to go pick out his puppy, the puppy was waiting for him.
They were farmers and sure enough the woman had 8-10 puppies to pick from, he immediately latched onto one and named him Joey.
Thus began a long beautiful friendship with his new pal Joey. It was a puppy scramble and face licking contest all the way home.
Of course he immediately peed on the floor as soon as he got in the door, and was probably overwhelmed a bit by all the fussing and wrestling with another son and daughter.
I could write a book about their many adventures with Joey, a pure bred mongrel best ever kids dog in the whole wide world.

          1. Yah good one Boots. always figured if you were a shitty person, but you found a dog and made friends properly.
That you would become a better person. Dogs are like that.

        1. I never had a dog when I was a young boy. I think my parents figured that it would have been too much responsibility for me to take care of it and they were probably right.

Then came the first dachshund, a gorgeous long-haired female mini. My mother protested but the critter eventually won her affections. My mother couldn’t stop crying when the beastie went to her final reward.

The only one of the family dogs I got to know was my canine-stepbrother. He’s getting on in years and he, too, will join his predecessors. I know I will grieve when that time comes.

          1. Three or four months before the pandemic hit, around November 2019, we picked up Jack, a rescue dog shipped up from a Georgia charity. A tan-and-white Corgi/duck toller/Jack Russell mix, Jack is a 40-pound bundle of energy and love. Jack has kept my wife and I sane during the pandemic insanity, and made me a dog lover.

          2. My former next-door neighbour was in a similar situation.

Her daughter sometimes visited her, sometimes bringing along a dog. (The lease forbids canines, but my lips were sealed.) My neighbour, being cooped up not just because of the phony plague, but also requiring a walker on occasion, welcomed the critter’s presence.

I could see why. It was a young energetic something-or-other and she was full of lick and wag.

        2. Watcher, thanks for making my day. There’s a reason dog is God, spelled backwards.

          1. You are welcome OKate. I am no different than you. I would have a hell of a time picking out which one to take home…
I took a stray dog one time or maybe I should say he took me.
I met him one day I went to the city, can’t remember why now.
But there he was living on the streets, dirty, matted hungry and with only one eyeball.
Ugly as hell and nobody wanted him. Just too damn ugly for the do gooders, and you could tell he had, had enough of peoples shit.
I finished what I was doing, and when I came out to my pick up to go home. He was still there. So I opened the door on his side and said if you want to go home get your ass in the truck.
So he jumped in and I took him home.
Savoy Brown was big on the radio back then, in the 70’s so called him just Savoy.
            Very gentle sweet soul.

          2. Watcher, only the Lord knows what kind of life Savoy had before meeting you. It’s good to hear the rest of his life was spent loving and being loved.

          3. It’s like my canine step-brother. He was the runt of the litter, which, I think, was why my father chose him.

It turned out to be a good choice. The two of them took to each other immediately. I have pictures of the little guy fast asleep on my father’s lap soon after he was brought to the house.

But, he, like me, outlived both of my parents. I at least understood why they’re no longer around. He, however, doesn’t.

Fortunately, the family that adopted him gave him some of the stability he needed. He’s been with them for more than 4 years now and he’s very happy there. He’s always excited when “Mummy” comes to pick him up–about as excited as he is when he’s brought to my house.

At either location, he knows he’ll be where he’ll be loved and cared for.

    2. Watcher

I’d take one in a HEARTBEAT..!!

Just had to put down my good friend Bentley a cpl months ago: Rotty Cross – Shephard and poss some border collie. That was a hard thing to do…even as it was done here at home with the whole family around him…

      1. Problem for me is I love dogs especially puppies.
When any of my female dogs would have puppies, I was always like a kid, could hardly keep my hands off them.
Would always do everything opposite of what every expert said should be done.
And I did not give a shit. The larnin was for later. Puppies are for playing and loving and having fun with.

    3. Those are Rotties. You can see the “square” head look on the one at the top left.
I had a rotty. Beautiful dog. Miss her dearly.

  2. Major Incident’ Involving Gunman in Plymouth, England, Multiple Fatalities Reported

“There have been a number of fatalities at the scene and several other casualties are receiving treatment”

“a huge amount of police activity” at a block of flats in Stonehouse and eyewitnesses saying they have heard “loud bangs” and “gunshots”.

“The incident is not terror related, and neither is the suspect on the run in Plymouth,” Mercer claimed. And we would believe that if they had not lied so many times before. Maybe the Taliban have come to England…

    1. Maybe they are sick of the COVID TYRANTS and decided that Without Rule of Law why not get some.

    2. “The incident is not terror related”

So was Mohamed Mohamed, a recent immigrant from Somalia having a bad day? Note – this is humour or my version thereof..

  3. Florida Forces CDC to Correct Inaccurate Coronavirus Data it Published about Sunshine State

“The CDC updated the data Tuesday to reflect an accurate Sunday total of coronavirus cases in the state, as the CDC incorrectly combined “MULTIPLE days into one,” giving Florida the worst ever total.”

Is it too late now to say Sorry?

      1. Another poll:

14 Percent of Biden Voters Say Trump Will Be Reinstated as President This Year: Poll
“Support for the conspiracy theory was significant even among voters who said they were very or somewhat “favorable of Biden,” with 26 percent agreeing. ”

They call it a conspiracy theory then they effectively note that it was started by the NYT:
“The claim that Trump himself was privately insisting he would be back in the White House by this month was first reported by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman on June 1.”

    1. Problem for all the SHITCONs is they do not allow the Candidate to represent the voters of the constituency. Same with all the parties.
Part of the reason the country is a failure.

      1. I’m seriously considering running for Parliament as a member of the Rhinoceros party for that very reason. Heck, if I get elected I’d probably be the only Rhino, effectively making me party leader.

        My platform:
Environment – I promise to leave the Rocky Mountains exactly where they are
Energy – I promise to save energy for everyone by lowering the boiling point of water.
Education- pi will be redefined to be exactly 3, to make math easier
The Arts – I’m a pretty good dancer. If elected I promise to dance the Tango with Justin Trudeau until one of us drops dead of a heart attack. If I should survive, I’ll do the same with Jagmeet whatshisname and whoever is “leading” the conservatives… I could end up PM by attrition!
Defense – well, we really need the whole team to work at it, banging bodies, getting dirty in the corners, finishing our checks, and capitalizing on opponent’s mistakes, and hopefully win a few hockey games
Health Care – I promise not to cough or sneeze on you
Transportation – high speed rail from Bona Vista to Vancouver Island. Of course due to weather that would have to be in a tunnel. If the pilot project is a success, maybe we’ll add another tunnel going the other direction, and maybe a train station somewhere central, like Moose Jaw.

  4. Reports we are in a 4th wave of covid while Trudeau traverses the country with his pockets full of goodies.
    Merry Christmas one and all!

    1. Goodies that we’re paying for.

I just received my biannual notice of pre-paying my donation to the Prinz Dummkopf Foundation (formerly known as income tax). The first one this year was $200 higher than before. This second one is now around $500 more than what I had to pay a few months ago.

  5. ‘Choices have consequences’: Can you sue if an unvaccinated person gives you COVID-19?
    https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/choices-have-consequences-can-you-sue-if-an-unvaccinated-person-gives-you-covid-19

Next question that will never be asked and answered in the MSM:
‘Choices have consequences’: Can you sue if a vaccinated person gives you COVID-19?
‘Choices have consequences’: Can you sue your employer if they force you to get a COVID-19 vaccine and suffer permanent adverse affects ?

    1. It really now depends on if our courts are totally corrupted.
Our governments pay their costs, appointments and retirement funds…
So, who do you think the courts will side on?

The lawyers say that the employer has no standing in not being protected by enforcement of the vaccinations that caused the damage and are liable for the damages.
At least this is what the television lawyers have been talking about.

    2. Why not sue the vaccine pushers for failure to protect? It would surely be revealed in the context of such a case that the vaccines only offer about 1% in absolute ( vs. relative) protection from the virus. The vaccine 95% ( and rapidly decreasing) promise of protection is deceptive. Check out the difference between relative and absolute measures regarding drug trials. Who would take the vaccine if they knew they were only improving their chance of avoiding the virus risk by 1%? That is why the drug makers do not talk about the “abdolute” measure of effectiveness.

      1. Our courts are so corrupted that anything they don’t want to deal with like real science and real evidence due to clashing with the illegal government policies.
Just because the government or media says it’s legit, the courts really haven’t been challenged.
Send to arbitration or tribunals or appeals can delay proceedings for decades until YOU run out of money.
Government has unlimited funding and resources.

You really don’t think these farmers have special deals because our governments have allowed it to happen is actually illegal when they’re caught and reported.
Our Canadian labour laws apply to everyone who works in Canada.

  6. https://www.brookings.edu/research/how-misinformation-is-distorting-covid-policies-and-behaviors/

The U.S. public is also deeply misinformed about the severity of the virus for the average infected person. In December, we asked, “What percentage of people who have been infected by the coronavirus needed to be hospitalized?”

The correct answer is not precisely known, but it is highly likely to be between 1% and 5% according to the best available estimates, and it is unlikely to be much higher or lower. We discuss the data and logic behind this conclusion in the appendix.

People’s “information diet” plays a crucial role here. In the first and second rounds of our survey (conducted July through August), we found that those who get their news primarily from social media had the most erroneous perception of the risk of death by age.

We believe the economy will continue to struggle until a vaccine becomes widely distributed. COVID-19 eradication has not occurred in any large-developed country, most of which are dealing with high levels of infection.

On the other hand, areas in the Northeastern United States and parts of Europe and Asia have managed to contain hospitalizations and deaths at much lower levels than they experienced in April without mandating business closures, with a combination of sensible regulations, mask-wearing, and mostly voluntary social distancing, accompanied by clear guidelines. We believe this is the strategy needed more broadly until there is a vaccine.

My question: So which is it ?

  7. https://torontosun.com/news/world/afghan-women-forced-from-banking-jobs-as-taliban-take-control

This is islam and its treatment of women. Why is this a surprise as we will see it happening here as more muslims migrate to Canada? Countries like Iran are rapidly replacing females in all walks of life. The book Reading Lolita in Tehran is written by a female university professor on life under the mullahs.

When I retired I drove a shuttle van for a car dealership and drove many highly educated and smart business women who were muslims. They fully endorsed our wonderful culture and dressed in the Western style. They stated they came to Canada to get away from hardline Islam and were incredulous our government were bringing it here

  8. “I wonder how many of these were ones that turdhole invited here”

Every one of them, judging by the names.

    1. Know how many times I have heard Trudeau is toast?
He could take a handsaw and cut somebody’s head off, and it would be all forgiven by Canadians, he owns the msm, the judges, every lever of power he owns and controls. He can not even be arrested.
Theft of hundreds of millions in tax dollars in adscam. No one went to jail.
      Sexual assaults gropings etc.
      It does not matter
