    1. Wow, thank goodness they’re curve is inverting and if ivermectin helped, so much the better.
    2. Even in India correlation is not causation.

    2. Yes, do we have a proper study with a control group, in India? If not, we don’t really know if it was the drug.

    3. Valid points. Peru was being similarly used as an ivermectin success story with declining cases and deaths, until these reversed course and exploded in January.

      Nevertheless, the Western medical research establishment wants nothing to do with low-cost preventatives and treatments, and they have no desire to investigate.

  10. The Indian peak looks fairly typical. It’s quite possible that all the interventions are irrelevant and the disease just follows its own course through populations. All pandemics end; the 1918 flu ended with plenty of apparently vulnerable populations left and with no effective intervention.

    2. Yes. Viruses follow a natural pattern and eventually weaken and disappear. The claims of the vaccine bring effective are taking advantage of that natural curve. Having said that, Ivermectin and HCQ do seem to correlate with lower case counts where they have been used. Drs. should not be being punished for prescribing these. Yet that seems to be happening in Canada. Ontario is panicking about hospitalizations while Mexico city cut their hospitalization in half by using Ivermectin. Canada is controlled by the corrupt WHO.

        That in Canada there is ZERO Mention of Ivermectin or HydroxyChloroQuine, except of course to TRASH them. This is due to the disgusting influence of a 100% owned by the WHO – Canada’s Public Health Adviser Mr THAM and MSmedia influenced by the pronouncements of Dr Fauxi.

        I would also note a Complete Absence of Public HEAlth announcements of the Extreme Importance of those things that improve Immune system Response to viral incursion: Vitamins D, B1, C w/Zinc, proper nutrition, fresh air, exercise and the one thing we must do – Interact with HUMANITY. It is only via the sharing of viral % bacterial matter that keeps our immune systems strong.

        It seems to me, that every public health measure currently in place is at complete odds with all of the above. All of which to me is WillFull CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE and 100% Opposite their hippocratic oath of “Do No HARM”

  11. There were scientists trying to argue last spring that the virus was going to follow the same two spike pattern regardless of any interventions.

    These “protect the vulnerable, but let the virus run its course” advocates were driven from the public square when the nursing home policies of Dem governors pumped up the death toll enough to scare a majority of the population.

    The idiotic moves the government made (Like lockdowns in the summer) pushed the second spike to the fall/winter and made things worse. It was a success for them, though, because the fear changed the narrative before the election and now the bureaucracy is getting the fundIng necessary to accomplish every batshit crazy, not approved by a vote, liberal fantasy they ever dreamed of.

    1. What really pisses me off is the fiends who are “public health officers” timing their interventions (increased restrictions etc) in such a way that it looked to the uninitiated as though they were actually having a beneficial effect.
      This was DEFINITELY done in BC where additional restrictions were announced in November AS the 2nd wave was peaking and then the most recent round of travel restrictions were imposed right as the 3rd wave was peaking. IMO that was deliberate.

      2. The most ridiculous rule is not to stray from your local BC health authority area, a very arbitrary Health Administration area. WTH? No one is complying, nor is enforcement even realistically possible (Our local cops seem to know what not to enforce, but are reasonably effective when things get serious). Why make the rule in the first place? If I want to see my grand children in a park or backyard, I will! “Calm Bonnie”, you said that older singles were allowed two visitors. My child is one of my picks, and news to you, I am able and have a car.

        Catch me if you can. If you do, I will sue the Ministry. My child can not afford to live near me in sufficient family space, and the family needs to be in a good suburb with access to French immersion schools and places where children can ride bikes safely and have a backyard with fun stuff. The fake boundaries are insane.

        And, no we ARE going out this summer. And if you are planning a fourth wave, I will be at my seasonal home next fall visiting my dual citizen child, whom I have not hugged since all this nonsense began.

    “Today, most leading doctors in India are themselves not promoting the Ministry of Health guidelines that includes the use of hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin and inhaled budesonide (see below).

    Another change from the first wave is that people from the upper middle class and the elite have been more involved in this wave, while they had escaped the first wave when people from lower socio-economic strata were mostly involved.

First, the decrease in “cases” may or may not have anything to do with the disease, it may simply be an increase in the testing or the method of testing, since the test is known to be so oversensitive that it can register positive when you do not have the disease (such as the fellow who took it four times, same test, same nurse, 2 positive, 2 negative).

    Second, the decrease in “cases” may or may not have anything to do with Ivermectin, it may simply be due to reaching herd immunity. The rule is, “correlation is not causation”, just because two things happened at the same time, does not mean that the one caused the other. Conversely, it does not mean that it didn’t, either.

    Treating sick people with Ivermectin should not show any drop in “cases”, since it should or should not only show a drop in the length of time they are sick, the severity of symptoms, or a drop in mortality of the disease. A drop in “cases” should only be related to Ivermectin if it is given prior to the people being exposed to the disease, such as happens in Africa. Even there, one has to look and see if they have also been given other drugs which may also result in immunity, or if there are other factors, such as exposure followed by immunity to other diseases which result in increased resistance to COVID.

    The only way to see if Ivermectin has any effect on immunity and less “cases” being reported would be to give a large number of people Ivermectin, another large number of people a placebo, and see if there are a statistically large enough drop in “cases” among the Ivermectin group compared to the non Ivermectin group. In other words, you would have to actually use the scientific method, rather than being an ignorant reporter and reporting that Ivermectin is causing a drop in “cases”, when you have not shown that the one causes the other.

    In India a large number of people were given Ivermectin or HCQ and a large number were given expensive and ineffective “placebos”.
