There are many conservative Jews like me who abhor the censorship going on, but your Jew hatred does nothing to address the real issues of left-wing indoctrination being done by all faiths and people in our institutions both in Canada and the U.S. As a Jew, I can’t understand those members of my tribe on the Left, but our tribe is very diverse nonetheless. Because someone, who has certain attributes, such as religion or skin colour or height or gender or…. does something..does not mean that this behaviour was caused by those attributes.

    So- trying to claim that ‘Being a Jew’ – causes Zuckerberg or Soros or whoever to do..whatever…is absurd and ‘false reasoning’. Same with skin colour.

    The Elites are in a hysteria of emotion, getting out of the cage of the last four years – when they lost power to The People. Here for the most part but the MSM does not allow it, the government refuses to even talk to anyone with a differing point of view, free speech, freedom of assembly ,freedom to confront government, all are gone. This country has become a third world tyranny when it comes to government, just in case people really aren’t paying attention, check out Quebec, it is still part of Canada.

    In my defense, I was simply trying to use the Canary in the Mine metaphor. A coordinated Silencing of Others seems to be very much in progress and I do deeply worry about what reality will be like when this is all over.

We’ve just had the Reichstag fire, the modern incarnation of book burnings are proceeding (Twitter, Facebook), and what should be non-political forums (like a book club online that wife wife joined) is de-humanizing Trump supporters. Two of them sound ready to start the camps up tomorrow, because of Trump’s horrid racism and sexism (that they can’t provide examples of, but are sure must exist because he’s just that low and evil).

      At current rate, the camps would be 5 to 8 years away if the original timeline is followed. Except that at some point the 2nd amendment it stop it.

    Canadians banned that decades ago.
    The idea that words could be used to argue points of view and reach a peaceful resolution,were abandoned by government and the courts when “My Feelingz” became law.
    So we are heading toward violence.

Of course free speech is threatened, just look at college campuses where most all bad ideas originate.

    At issue is the acceptability of private discrimination. The government, which has no right to discriminate, forces bakers to bake cakes for gay weddings when the owners choose not to. This is fascism. Private discrimination is how people maintain rationality, by exercising free will. Just as corporate social(ist) media exercise their property rights, I maintain that oil companies should be free to discriminate by say, refusing to sell gasoline to Gerald Butts, David Suzuki, the Spawn, etc. Without private property rights, no rights can exist including free speech.
