Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

It’s beginning to look like the start of an ice age
Our scientists and government are terrible at governance and only pick pet projects for poor study parameters.
How is our fuel made?
With water. Like making a coffee, and flavor is infused in the water, our octane(fuel) is infused in water and burns in our engines leaving water vapors to exhaust.
This adds more water vapors to our atmosphere besides what is naturally occurring by evaporation.
Nitrogen gas plays a huge role(through vibration)along with atmospheric pressure and centrifugal force from our rotating orb.
Our engines have a more difficult time with fuel that is mixed with alcohol as the octane is much less which then gums up the engines. Try mixing oil and alcohol, it doesn’t work well which our small engines usually need replacing much sooner.
But hey, our government mandates we use it…more poor decision planning without looking into its devastating effects.
Works well for the manufacturers, which now is mostly China.
The mandated alcohol also plays merry Hell with all the “rubber” and light-alloy parts of the entire fuel system.
Last time alcohol was a serious commercial fuel additive, was the 1950’s. Back then, most engines were
“low” compression, side-valved types and about the only non-ferrous part of the affair was the carburetor. Even then, if you left the vehicle sitting with fuel in the float-bowl, the alcohol (and the water it “attracts”) would start to react with the alloy from which carbys were by then being made. Not a huge problem in daily rides, but it could happen to the “occasional use” vehicle.
It was and remains, a two-way street. ALL motor fuels contain residual acids and water from the catalytic cracking process. These USUALLY sinks to the bottom of the tank; thus being available to start rusting out the bottom of said fuel tank. There is a good reason the fuel pickup floats on top of the actual fuel, rather than scavenging at the bottom. Furthermore, as temperature changes expand and contract the fuel tank and the vapours therein, this “breathing” inhales some of the outside atmosphere. In the confines of the tank, some “humidity” will be dissolved into the fuel. Folks dwelling in places with warm, wet summers will have this experience. Anyone who has ever done restorations or extreme services on old cars will often spot rust inside the tank. There are no “free lunches”.
Jojo are u being sarcastic or do u really believe gasoline is “flavoured” water … u said “octane(fuel) is infused in water”?
Octane is a hydrocarbon and an alkane with the chemical formula C8H18, and the condensed structural formula CH3(CH2)6CH3. Here is a graphic of the molecule https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane#/media/File:OctaneFull.png
The water vapour and other exhaust gases are the result of burning the gasoline … ie oxidizing it so that all the C’s and H’s are combined with Oxygen to form H2O & CO2 or CO that is the source of your water vapour and the oxygen is from the atmosphere. There is no water in gasoline (unless there is a screw up and then ur motor won’t run).
Here is more on gasoline if u are interested: Chemical analysis and production
Some of the components of gasoline: isooctane, butane, 3-ethyltoluene, and the octane enhancer MTBE
Commercial gasoline is a mixture of a large number of different hydrocarbons. Gasoline is produced to meet a host of engine performance specifications and many different compositions are possible. Hence, the exact chemical composition of gasoline is undefined. The performance specification also varies with season, with more volatile blends (due to added butane) during winter, in order to be able to start a cold engine. At the refinery, the composition varies according to the crude oils from which it is produced, the type of processing units present at the refinery, how those units are operated and which hydrocarbon streams (blendstocks) the refinery opts to use when blending the final product.[64]
Gasoline is produced in oil refineries. Roughly 19 U.S. gallons (72 L) of gasoline is derived from a 42-U.S.-gallon (160 L) barrel of crude oil.[65] Material separated from crude oil via distillation, called virgin or straight-run gasoline, does not meet specifications for modern engines (particularly the octane rating; see below), but can be pooled to the gasoline blend.
The bulk of a typical gasoline consists of a homogeneous mixture of small, relatively lightweight hydrocarbons with between 4 and 12 carbon atoms per molecule (commonly referred to as C4–C12).[63] It is a mixture of paraffins (alkanes), olefins (alkenes) and cycloalkanes (naphthenes). The usage of the terms paraffin and olefin in place of the standard chemical nomenclature alkane and alkene, respectively, is particular to the oil industry. The actual ratio of molecules in any gasoline depends upon:
the oil refinery that makes the gasoline, as not all refineries have the same set of processing units;
the crude oil feed used by the refinery;
the grade of gasoline (in particular, the octane rating).
The various refinery streams blended to make gasoline have different characteristics. Some important streams include:
straight-run gasoline, commonly referred to as naphtha, which is distilled directly from crude oil. Once the leading source of fuel, its low octane rating required lead additives. It is low in aromatics (depending on the grade of the crude oil stream) and contains some cycloalkanes (naphthenes) and no olefins (alkenes). Between 0 and 20 percent of this stream is pooled into the finished gasoline, because the quantity of this fraction in the crude is less than fuel demand and the fraction’s RON is too low. The chemical properties (namely RON and Reid vapor pressure) of the straight-run gasoline can be improved through reforming and isomerisation. However, before feeding those units, the naphtha needs to be split into light and heavy naphtha. Straight-run gasoline can also be used as a feedstock for steam-crackers to produce olefins.
reformate, produced in a catalytic reformer, has a high octane rating with high aromatic content and relatively low olefin content. Most of the benzene, toluene and xylene (the so-called BTX hydrocarbons) are more valuable as chemical feedstocks and are thus removed to some extent.
catalytic cracked gasoline, or catalytic cracked naphtha, produced with a catalytic cracker, has a moderate octane rating, high olefin content and moderate aromatic content.
hydrocrackate (heavy, mid and light), produced with a hydrocracker, has a medium to low octane rating and moderate aromatic levels.
alkylate is produced in an alkylation unit, using isobutane and olefins as feedstocks. Finished alkylate contains no aromatics or olefins and has a high MON.
isomerate is obtained by isomerizing low-octane straight-run gasoline into iso-paraffins (non-chain alkanes, such as isooctane). Isomerate has a medium RON and MON, but no aromatics or olefins.
butane is usually blended in the gasoline pool, although the quantity of this stream is limited by the RVP specification.
The terms above are the jargon used in the oil industry and terminology varies.
Currently, many countries set limits on gasoline aromatics in general, benzene in particular, and olefin (alkene) content. Such regulations have led to an increasing preference for alkane isomers, such as isomerate or alkylate, as their octane rating is higher than n-alkanes. In the European Union, the benzene limit is set at 1% by volume for all grades of automotive gasoline. This is usually achieved by avoid feeding C6, in particular cylco-hexane, to the reformer unit, where it would be converted to benzene. Therefore, only (desulphurized) heavy virgin naphtha (HVN) is feed to the reformer unit [64]
Gasoline can also contain other organic compounds, such as organic ethers (deliberately added), plus small levels of contaminants, in particular organosulfur compounds (which are usually removed at the refinery).
The cracking process perfected by Standard Oil was so successful that by 1880 they controlled over 90% of the oil produced in the US.
(aided by the Supreme Court the company was broken up in 1911)
Ironically the remnants of the fortune amassed by John D. Rockefeller, currently held in family foundations, are now controlled by people who work to destroy the oil & gas industry.
GregN. My thoughts exactly. https://www.eurocanadian.ca/2020/12/the-next-deadly-threat.html
I heard its warming twice as fast in Japan as the rest of the world. Hahaha.
We shall take the most dishonest, least productive members of society and scatter them throughout the lands. We will call them, “government”.
I’ve heard most places are warming faster than the rest of the world.
How ironic and Karmic at the same time: “Snow accumulated in central Kyoto – a rare phenomenon – while temperatures in Tokyo fell below 0 deg C on Thursday, 51 days earlier than the last winter,”
The Left will declare this natural phenomenon as “absolute irrefutable evidence” of climate change.
Apparently, the Japanese are not paying enough carbon taxes. Because we all know by now, that government can control the weather.
Polar Vortex!
EXTREME weather!
Caused by Global Warming, and your sinfulness, of course. Sins against Gaia. /s.
Imagine being stuck on the freeway for over 24 hours?
In a battery powered car?
See?
The lockdown worked to stop global warming.
Your betters were right about that too.
Everywhere is now cooling twice as fast as everywhere else.
The good news is that Honda makes a heck of snow blower.
Weather isn’t an indication of climate change.
Until it is.
I’m telling on all of you!
+++OK
See?
Global Warming is real and measurable.
All us sceptics were wrong.
For here we see Anthropogenic Global Warming, that is obviously Catastrophic.
For here we have that wonderous global warming in feet not inches..
Oh wait?
That is snow?
The stuff the Cult of Calamitous Climate, assured us would be a thing of the past some decades ago.
I swear our political animals are so dumb and greedy that they will still be claiming Global Warming as the ice sheets form over them.
Of course we can respond in kind.
For according to the Alarmed and Entitled ones, the north is warming like never before..
OK let us move the Capitol to the geographical centre of this country, cause geographical justice, then cut all use of fossil fuels by the government.
A fine new country can arise from two small changes.
1 All taxpaying citizens must carry lethal weaponry.
No government employee or non tax paying citizen can use lethal force of any form.
2 No government agency or Alarmist organization can use oil based fuels, zero restrictions on citizens.
Of course if you want real anarchy change the tax code.
Force the individual to remit their “share” themselves..Take the load off of the employer and see how laidback the working stiff is when they have to calculate the steal and pay it themselves.
Now one thing I have always found amazing is how deliberately Canadians deny the theft.
With pay stub in hand, they will argue that the theft by govt is fair.
That healthcare is free.
That Workers Compensation is a well run incorrupt institution..
Biggest laugh I have had in years was talking to a former believer, who had just got a paycheck of smaller net worth, after his payraise.
The Cult of Calamitous Climate is an intelligence test,if you can believe in catastrophic anthropogenic global warming, then we can sell you anything.
“The Science”,being another fine myth.
After the decades of policy based evidence manufacturing to promote the climate scam,is anyone surprised by the “science” of Covid-19 Plandemic?
So look up Coats Island on a map.
Close, enough for government,to being the geographical centre of this federation.Think of it as a twofer,if we move the federal capitol and banish the Cult members there,we get a mass savings,as they are mostly the same people.
Then when the oil fuelled supply ships are banned, they can “Be an example to us all”.
In their Social Justice, geographically correct ,carbon free paradise.
And we could contract the Arctic Rangers to make sure none escape the bears.
Such thought keep me warm in this frozen wasteland.
So as we speak, the strongest low pressure system ever recorded is about to hit Alaska and then Canada. 2021, THE ICE IS A COMING.
This shouldn’t be all that surprising, considering Japan’s geographic proximity to Siberia. The North Pacific has some rather nasty weather at times.
Picture looks like my street in Montreal, 1970. I could step off the second floor balcony into the snow. We hiked up Claremont Ave, a few blocks east and skied down to Sherbrooke St. All day. Sherbrooke was down to one lane, E to W. The 104 bus wouldn’t even try to go up the hill. I’ve got more pics of downtown, the McGill Ghetto, Aylmer St…..buried cars, 1974. We walked over them.
The talk of the day was about an approaching Ice Age, nothing about Globble Warmenting(tm).
Of course, this is evidence that, according to Bill (De)Nye, the world’s on fire. So, all together now:
