  1. Absolutely not. It is the thin end of the wedge.

First is all other infetious diseases; then maybe psychological profiles, other diseases – heart for example, members of organizations, charitable donations. in short, a Chinese style social score.

    1. A yellow hexagonal star suits the same purpose.

The paranoid Karen’s rule the day.

Costco now has professional Karen’s running around their stores, to make sure you wear the mask THEIR WAY, and to stand exactly on their waiting spots, NOT ONE INCH OVER THE LINE OR THEY WILL KAREN YOU!

Our society is verging on the insane

      1. Two responses.
        1. Tell them to eff off
        2. Don’t shop there
Quit whining about such stuff and take action.

        1. Ah, but telling them to take a hike can get you branded as “disrespectful” or “belligerent”.

I got into trouble for that very reason at one place I dealt with for several years. I have some unfinished business there that I want to finish up and, once that’s done, I’m closing the books on it. It clearly doesn’t value my custom nor does it need my money if it behaves like that towards me. It probably won’t even notice that I won’t be coming there any more.

        2. They can also revoke your membership. So yes, my first thought was the standard response too, but, there’s a price to that, that I don’t want to pay.
Instead, they got feedback on their website, for that behaviour.

      2. I’ve never shopped at Costco and now I have a reason to keep it that way.

      3. Liberal’s would be pissed,
But it should be used as identification to vote, or free food

      4. Just experienced the same thing at our local Costco. They must be running scared, having been spotlighted as preferred outlets for all manner of goods and groceries while small businesses are shut and going broke. They want to somehow placate the government officials who may yet turn on them in an abundance of fascist behavior.

  2. I am gobsmacked on this. Although there are only 911 votes at the time I added my vote – it is only 69% opposed. I thought (only hoped, apparently) it would be at least 95% opposed.

    1. Gubmint makes up about 30% of the population. From pencil sharpeners to “Ministers of the Crown”. Like that means anything in this demented Dominion. Expect this idea to grow to include your Globble Warmenting creds, as well. I’ll bet money on that development. There’s ample evidence that the two are definitely linked in leftist, control freak thinking. It’s the commie way, these days. Do a little reading, Solzhenitsyn might be a good start.
The NDP (commies) originated in Saskatchewan.
By the way, I voted NO! The airports are still wide open to re-infection from Chinah. Check Flight Aware. No restrictions on entry. Until there’s barbed wire pens, “self isolate” means squat.

    2. Why. The poll respondents get their news from CTV or CBC. They’re I’ll informed and pathetic humans who cower in fear of everything.

  3. Perhaps if we could just sew our proof of vaccination into the shape of a yellow star and sew this onto our jackets, it’d make our overseer’s jobs more comfortable.

    1. I strongly suspect that many of the youngsters who now act like they’re the Volkspolizei won’t get the reference.

  4. Same poll showing up on other, but not all, CTV sites. Ottawa has the same poll > 70/30, Calgary poll is whether you’ll follow lock down restrictions for the holidays > 50/50 on that one.

  5. Meanwhile over at Constant Trudeau Vision Winnipeg, the poll asks:
Should the COVID-19 vaccine be made mandatory for all Manitobans? Keep in mind Pallister bases most of his “medical” decision on mob-polling and political correctness. Thanks.

    Give it a visit @ https://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/

  6. So disappointed that 29% said yes. I think those 29% should absolutely be vaccine rats BUT I think that those who take the vaccine should be isolated from the rest of the population until such time that the side effects are know… what is that standard usually? 5-10 years.

  7. In Ontario, all children require proof of vaccinations against 9 diseases in order to attend school. If so many are opposed to the proof requirement for COVID vaccination, where are these protesters against the school policy?

    1. Historical long term precedents for the schoolchildren’s vaccines. Whipping the Covid19 vaccination up in a few months as apposed to years long trials is something else again. We should be cautious.

    2. The auzzis are getting hiv positive tests with their vaccine. Shoot that stuff unto you at your peril.

  8. Hmmm, it’s a poll run by Democrats. I just voted for myself and for my dead grandmother. Of course, the poll isn’t done, things may go bump in the night to ensure the “correct” results.

  9. Odd that the folks making these decisions are never required to submit to a drug test or blood alcohol level test before they get their jobs.

  10. 12,983 Covid 19 deaths in Canada from a population of 37,590,000 is a Covid 19 death rate of 0.0319233%.
Providing those Covid 19 deaths are in fact Covid 19 deaths.
Plus when you take into account that around 47,000 Canadians die each year from heart disease and stroke, give or take. Canada’s number one killer, but you don’t see rights being taken away and economies being destroyed because of it. The panic induced by our governments and media over Covid19 becomes even stranger.

  11. Well … YES! we SHOULD have to “show them our papers”.

    On one condition …

We also deploy “Mask Agents” … a TSA-scaled operation that places highly trained third world gate agents at every supermarket, restaurant, and Home Depot to DENY entry to anyone who has the “wrong kind” of mask, or doesn’t wear their mask correctly. If we are going to take this pandemic SERIOUSLY … then we MUST ensure every yokel wears his mask properly. I am literally appalled at all the USELESS single ply double-knit “masks” I see people wear. And all the men with facial hair preventing a proper seal to the nano-sized Virus Agents … Ohhhhhhhh Ma’mmmmaaaaaaaa! We have simply GOT to MAKE everyone OBEY!!! After all … we inspect children’s car seats … by LAW! Shouldn’t we inspect and certify everyone is wearing a proper mask … correctly? Our very LIVES depend on it. Right?

    1. No more freedom. Make all the men with facial hair shave it off. Haha!
Ya gots ta ‘ave da mask fit!!! Oh Ma-maaaa!

    2. Each time I go through the security check at an airport, I’m verbally chastised for not having my now-ragged mask “properly” over my nose.

Isn’t there a pseudo-religious totalitarian system that punishes people for being “improperly” dressed?

      1. You’re SO right! We don’t need a TSA-styled system … we need the equivalent of the Muslim Iranian Religious Piety Police! No facemask hajib … No Go … You get stoned

  12. Londoners (UK) were out in force singing – ” you can shove your bloody vaccine up your arse”!
    Agreed.

  13. Masks are an ineffective pain in the ass and lockdowns cause economic and social harm, but it’s beyond the pale to expect people to take a vaccine for an illness that currently kills less than one person per day per million people, a vaccine deemed “safe” now but with no chance of knowing what later “side effects” could be, as in other rushed vaccines, like the 1976 debacle described below.

Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it so voters should have taken that into consideration, but they failed.

“To avoid an epidemic, the CDC believed, at least 80 percent of the United States population would need to be vaccinated. When they asked Congress for the money to do it, politicians jumped on the potential good press of saving their constituents from the plague. The World Health Organization adopted more of a wait-and-see attitude to the virus, writes Kreston. They eventually found that the strain of flu that year was not a repeat or escalation of the 1918 flu, but “the U.S. government was unstoppable,” They had promised a vaccine, so there needed to be a vaccine.”

This all happened in the spring, with emergency legislation for the “National Swine Flu Immunization Program,” being signed into effect in mid-April. By the time immunizations began on October 1, though, the proposed epidemic had failed to emerge (although Legionnaires’ Disease had, confusing matters further.)

“With President Ford’s reelection campaign looming on the horizon, the campaign increasingly appeared politically motivated,” Kreston writes. In the end, one journalist at The New York Times went so far as to call the whole thing a “fiasco.” Epidemiology takes time, politics is often about looking like you’re doing something and logistics between branches of government are extremely complicated. These factors all contributed to the pandemic that never was.”

The real victims of this pandemic were likely the 450-odd people who came down with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, after getting the 1976 flu shot. On its website, the CDC notes that people who got the vaccination did have an increased risk of “approximately one additional case of GBS for every 100,000 people who got the swine flu vaccine.”

  14. What is that passage from the Bible about everyone needing to wear the mark of the beast 666?

    1. I’ve festooned one of my masks with that number. I wonder if anyone who sees it will get the reference.

A few days ago, I wore a mask with the slogan “Live Free or Die” on it and most people who saw it thought it referred to a Bruce Willis movie. Few of them knew that it was a battle cry during the American Revolution.

    2. Revelations 13:18 “Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

  15. Wonder if the 29% would reconsider if they knew the vaccine is a GMO vaccine , as they are likely the ones who would oppose GMO food like Golden Rice.

  16. 27% yes, I think!
I voted ‘NO’. I looked for the ‘No GD way’ option but it wasn’t included!

  17. If your social media is anything like mine, it’s the Karens who six months ago were wailing about a pending Handmaid’s Tale dystopia and before that chanted “my body, my choice” at every opportunity who now want mandatory vaccinations.

    1. who now want mandatory vaccinations

Mandatory vaccinations for you, but not necessarily for them.

  18. Well it ain’t there anymore:
“Are increased fines for people and businesses that violate public health orders an effective way to get people to comply?”
Is punching public health officials a good way to get them to STFU?

  19. If someone has the vaccine and is therefore not at risk any longer why do they care if I have the vaccine? The obvious answer is it’s all about control.

Also, will they be testing for antibodies first? I may have had the wuhan lung plague and been asymptomatic and therefore not need the vaccine.

  20. Welcome the Demi-citizen. Barred from activities that would have been considered normal behavior a few months ago because they are not able to show identification papers confirming a vaccination.
That applies to the willing who have not been among those blessed with an opportunity. Those over 65 who have a 1 in 18 chance of dying if infected, or my group who have a 1 in 200 chance make a rational choice to have the vaccine.
But what about those adults over under 40 with a 1 in 5000 chance, about the same risk as dying in a car accident over the next year. Or how about those under 20 where the chance is 1 in 33000 about the same chance of dying in a car accident in the next 6 weeks. Is it a rational choice to undergo the discomfort of the vaccine (yes there is discomfort) or could they be taking a far greater risk by taking the vaccine.
The young have already paid an enormous price for other’s protection through this pandemic, only to be asked to once again risk their lives for others.
