  5. Historically it’s true that “white” nations have been responsible for the majority of CO2 emissions, but that is fast changing. European and North American emissions have been falling at a decent pace in the last few decades. Asian emissions, making up about a third of the global total, are rising rapidly. They are in the drivers seat.

    So if AOC wants to address rising CO2 emissions in a serious way then that’s where she has to look. If she wants to demonize people based on race, though, she’s doing a bang-up job.
