I’m stunned that the Nobel actually went to someone who deserves it. How refreshing. Abiy has been a transformational leader, and probably the best Africa has ever seen. Ending war with Eritrea is the least of his accomplishments-he’s opening up to investment, political opposition, ending secret prisons, ended the state of emergency, and is liberalizing the economy. Ethiopia is becoming a big deal.
I’m with you. I figured with how much hype (and money) behind her, she was a shoo-in.

Norway is pretty smart. They are using their oil & gas wealth to diversify into other investments including real estate. They also seem to have convinced the eco-retards they are green after announcing a divestment of some O & G assets to protect the country “against a long-term drop in oil prices” (aka not environmental). Meanwhile they are the second largest O & G producer in the EU after Russia (never knew Russia was part of the EU but hey I don’t write for Reuters).
