  1. Flush The Turd. The place is starting to stink like the shithouse door on a fishing boat

    1. Sure and we’ll believe Orcas swim in the Columbia River as well!

Well PMJT is delivering on drama in a big way; he is single handed in making Canada a laughingstock.
      Here’s hint we’re not laughing with you…

We look forward to the Royal Comedic & Merriment Proceedings (RCMP) as they laugh all the way to the justice with this knee slapper evoking streams of tears from their eyes.

      Cheers

      Hans Rupprecht, Commander in Chief
      1st Saint Nicolaas Army
      Army Group “True North”

  2. HAHA HA>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>HAHA…What do you say when you trust a stupid piss-ant (Wernick) not to invoke your name…. HAHAHA

  3. You go girl! Everyone believes you.
    Priceless.
This is like a Colombo special for the mentally disabled.

  4. When I was a child, if I insulted the intelligence of my parents like that, they were not above pulling my pants down and belting my backside till I cried. I quickly learned not to lie to grownups.

Clearly Justin never was taught that valuable lesson.

    1. What do you expect…his father was busy screwing Canada and Alberta in particular…and his mom was either high, “pulling a train” or both!

  5. Canadians caring about how this government operates and spends their money should invest 17 minutes to listen to the recording.

At least three times JWR told Wernick his call, and the accompanying pressure was inappropriate, which he acknowledged then continued to pressure her. Wernick sounded like a PMO type or party political operative rather than supposedly the politically neutral Chief of the Privy Council, allegedly the top ranked civil “servant.”

That Wernick was unaware (or didn’t care) that “economic national interest” is not a criteria for DPA, which JWR alluded to and perhaps could be forgiven for not fully explaining that reality, which she likely assumed he should be aware?

The bottom line is the PM, the PMO, Butts and Wernick didn’t care about the law or integrity of our justice system, about kowtowing to a “signature” (irredeemably corrupt is quality?) company, and an irrelevant and specious reference to jobs.

I’m amazed the power hungry ones let this get out. They are losing control. The Teflon is off the PM, so now he is stuck in the frying pan, and the heat seems to be being turned up. The voter will decide this in the end; surely Grits have an exit strategy?

    1. That Wernick was unaware (or didn’t care) that “economic national interest” is not a criteria for DPA,
No, the problem was JWR did not understand that the Liberal Party IS Canada and that Canad a belongs to the Liberal party.

    2. Shamrock, you wrote:

“Canadians caring about how this government operates and spends their money should invest 17 minutes to listen to the recording.”

Canadians don’t care and, as a result, won’t be listening to that recording.

Wait until the carbon tax takes a big bite out of their beer and popcorn budget. THEN Canadians will notice that something is wrong.

  6. Turdeau, when you are in a hole stop digging. But no, Justin calls in a backhoe.

Team Turdeau is throwing Wernick under the bus. Will be interesting if Wernick refutes Justin.

I ran out of popcorn. Think I’ll open a very nice bottle of wine. Pinot Noir or Merlot?

    1. I would encourage a bottle of port and sip it slowly. This freak show is going to be around a while.

  7. So the Prime Minister of Quebec, MP from Papineau who was heavily lobbied by SNC and was obsessed about SNC jobs, jobs, jobs in Quebec wants Canadians to believe he was kept out of the loop on this matter. “Bold strategy Cotton, let’s see if it pays off”.

    1. I liked the touch where, while talking of jobs, he mentioned “the Calgary thing” AKA oil sands. That’s as far as Alberta registers on this government’s event horizon?

      1. I kinda doubt Team Trudeau could point out where Alberta is on a map. Money just rolls in to Ottawa from some mysterious dystopian wasteland inhabited by Morlocks.

  8. Well, interestingly, he never said PM told hoim to call. He himself cam eover as wanting to avoid having his balls broken by the PM. But, of course, it’s rediculous to pretend everyone was acting independently.,

It’s rather like Stalin saying “I never told anyone to starve the Ukraine” which could possibly be factually correct.

  9. Lavagate.

The LPC caucus has a decision to make:

Do a Barry Goldwater and send a group over to 24 Sussex (do the Trudeaus still live there) to tell JT he has to go

    Or

They stonewall and thus get annihilated at the polls this fall.

I think they do the latter rather than feel the wrath of their employers in the laurentian elite.

    1. Justin lives at Rideau Cottage on the grounds of Rideau Hall. They do go swimming at 24 Sussex Drive.

    2. They will stonewall, and go down with the ship.
Party loyalty reigns supreme. Look at what the BC NDP did in 2001. Reduced to two seats.
Liberals will be a Liberal. Looks good on them. They stubbornly grasped at finality during Mr Dithers’ failed campaign too.
      And it looks good.
      Stay Juthtin Stay!……
They’ll kick Puglass and Philpott out of caucus Monday, just watch. Self inflicted wounds. Let’s just hope everyone stays out of the LIEBrawls way while they immolate!
Where’s Scott Reid when you need him for beer and popcorn????

  10. The libranos tried their best to keep this from getting out. They had to know for some time that she had this tape. Thing is they couldn’t stop it from being released as JWR knows it’s over for her. I expect the libranos to try and destroy her now. Maybe have her disbarred. It will all be behind the scenes. They have friends in high places…think SCC.

SNC is deeply embedded in the LPC. Wherever SNC operates corruption is near. Is it possible the relationship with the LPC does not involve corruption? What are the chances?

How about Bomb-ba-deer, or Irving or Power Corp? What’s the relationship between the LPC and those most favoured corporations? Or international bagman the Aga Khan?

Canadians are seeing the corrupt LPC on full display.

    1. She made the tape to protect herself from disbarment. Smart thing too. That will be her argument if they try to have her disbarred. She clearly stated she was not comfortable and was concerned about independence and political interference.
Disbarred for being ethical?, good try Liberals!
      This just keeps getting better!

      1. I don’t know what her status with the law society is but as I understand it , it is a serious offence for a lawyer to clandestine tape a conversation with a client. Perhaps she wasn’t acting as a lawyer but the point as you suggest is moot.

All I’m suggesting is the libranos will be out to do her harm. They are evil and will look at her as destroying a heretic.

          1. I understand now she is an honoury member of the Ont Bar whatever that entails. She has not practiced law as an ordinary lawyer for some time, she was a prosecutor in BC, then worked full time for the Aboriginal organizations in BC. She would have no problem finding a job with any such Aboriginal organization and it would not necessitate being a Bar member anywhere. So the threat of disbarment is probably mute. And would the Law Society of Upper Canada really seek to punish someone who may have prevented interference in judicial proceedings?
Not a lawyer, of course, but I rather doubt it.

          2. Joe: True.

The question might be was she acting in any capacity as a lawyer?

I guess it wont matter if she is no longer a member of any law society. She cant be disciplined.

The bottom line is she recorded a conversation without the knowledge of the other party. A pretty serious breach of trust/ethics.

        1. I agree, and…the Liberals probably will have her gone pretty soon and perhaps she won’t be allowed to run again as a Liberal in her riding. Time will tell.

          1. Somehow I don’t think Justin will be signing her papers, assuming he isn’t forced out himself. It really can’t get much worse.

    1. “It really can’t get much worse.” Oh ya!? If Admiral Norman fights a good fight. It will get much, much worse!

  11. Wonder if they have PMJT on suicide watch tonight. He seems like a fragile person at his core. Losing everything that defines his personal narrative might be too much for him. Just a thought…

        1. Never saw this before … the boy (still, he’s not yet become an adult) Trudeau is all about “me”. Very dangerous for our country.

      1. I did. At Pierre’s funeral Mass televised on all channels
when HRH shouted in the basilica to all:
“Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your ears” … and then he went on to talk about his dad, it did seem rather strange. If you know the play by Shakespeare the next line was “I have come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.”

Justin then went on to do just the opposite, that is, praise his father. It was so ridiculous of him because why would he compare his father to Julius Caesar? It is beyond comprehension. There is no comparison. Okay, so the ‘kid’ was grieving, that’s understood. Why wouldn’t anyone have stopped him from the dramatics, if they really cared. Truth is, alledgedly, it was his best McGill pal, Gerald Butts who helped him with the eulogy. Some pal, huh?

        1. Nancy, you are right. Junior’s exordium was strange also in that he was comparing himself to Marc Antony, who exploited Caesar’s political assassination as an opportunity to rabble-rouse the plebeians with shamelessly over-the-top rhetoric against the Conspirators.

The quotation fell flat with the audience, and even the talking heads were saying it was unfortunate that Junior didn’t have a grown-up edit the speech for him.

In retrospect, however, this really WAS the speech that launched his political career, and Junior is enough of a manipulative sociopath to walk over his father’s corpse without compunction to get what he wants. In that sense, then, Junior’s comparison was apt. Creepy and unintended, but apt.

          1. Yes. I wrote the 11:57 post and then after posting, I saw the speech as posted at 11:56 by Watcher, it still gave me the creeps…

Justin didn’t say the part, ” lend me your ears”, my mistake, but he did say the word “Romans” which could have been omitted, except that he probably preferred to go with a bit of Shakespeare. Considering that there were many big names there like former President Carter, Fidel Castro and all the Prime Ministers, present and past, it was rude of him not to have had a better address to them at least, acknowledging their presence.

And yes, I too, thought the same thing as many Canadians – oh no he’s auditioning for politics! Yikes!

Did you notice how he scrunched up his nose when he said “Elliot,” his dad’s middle name? I thought that it would’ve been good to have a body language expert analyze that one move! Methinks that it must have been a testy relationship with his Papa. Wouldn’t be surprising,
            both with big egos.

          2. Pierre was tormented as a child by the pur laine because of his name Eliot, which I believe was his Scots mother’s maiden name. Couldn’t imagine what was in dauphin’s mind during the scene you describe. In later life, Pierre overcompensated to prove he was more French than the full-bloods. Just like 3/4 scots Justine, raised by an English mother and educated in English schools, who said “hairs” rather than “heirs” during his oath-swearing. Or is he really just that stupid.

          3. Remember how we thought and spoke when we were in grade 9 or grade 10. We were so detached and so cynical and everything was colored by our jaundiced juvenile contempt for adults.
Trudeau remains at the grade 9 or grade 10 level because there has never been a grown-up in his life willing to take him aside and explain a few things to him.
The same thing puzzled JWR. Why isn’t anyone explaining this stuff to Justin.

          4. Former Prime Ministers attended. Castro and Jimee Carter.
All the other world leaders took a pass on T1’s funeral.
He was considered a fool on the world stage.

      2. It was pure drama from Justin at his Papa’s funeral. Looking back it’s doubtful people picked up on it, we never considered in our wildest dreams he would become PM.

        1. I did. Figured he was vain enough. Some thought it would be Trudeaumania all over again, which was a big lie because the so called frenzy was from a few in the MSM. However, some thought Justin was smart. They were not surprisingly, disappointed.

You can’t make a decent hard worker out of a spoiled brat. Just ask anyone who has worked in the oil and gas field, these ‘divas’ get told to leave or they end up resigning on their own.

          1. Good points, Nancy. Many of us worried at the time that the legacy media (we didn’t use that phrase at the time of course) would create another Trudeau hysteria after the funeral performance. And you’re right about the media frenzy being just as phoney for the Dauphin as it was for the Sun King back in 1968. Technically, Trudeau the Elder became the darling of the chattering classes after he legalized buggery as Justice Minister; of course I’m not implying there was any connection.

My unscientific observation is that Junior is not suffering from just spoiled brat syndrome alone. The media won’t touch this issue, but both his parents were known to have had their “emotional difficulties”, and I do think there’s something seriously wrong with Junior. I don’t mean that flippantly.

          2. @1:01 Jms
Justin was probably upset about his parents’ divorce and should have been made to understand the adult world.

He might have read all his mother’s books too which wouldn’t be a normal thing as most kids from broken homes don’t get to read about their parents most personal problems. I read Maggie’s books and frankly she should’ve been more discreet for the children’s sake. Mags got around. That said, Pierre was a tightwad and didn’t provide for her so she made some money selling her story. This is most ironic since Pierre brought the Divorce Act to the nearest Shopping Mall Law Office in every corner of Canada.

Nevertheless, Justin’s problems may go deeper than the aforementioned. If he is homosexual he may not have accepted it yet. (hints in the eulogy of his Papa, the narcissistic ways with the selfies etc) Perhaps his chosen career path hasn’t brought out his true nature as of yet.
His lying and cheating ways are just an indication of his predilections. Time will tell.

Meanwhile many resent how this spoiled brat treats the hardworking taxpayers and the Public Purse as his personal Chargex Credit Card. He and his family live large. Many would respect them more if they had earned their living in the private sector. All he knows from his roots is the route of ‘insider trading.’

It is public knowledge how Grandpa Charles did so well with the Fina Gas Stations. It is most ironic, yet not surprising how he has crushed the Western economy. Remembering his statement to the French reporter that they can not let the West control Canada. So now we have NO economic security but at least Quebec is in surplus territory. But that’s another story.

This country is toast thanks to Quebec. I write from personal experience. Quebec had ruined a part of my life. I was born in Montreal. I survived and am stronger for it, but I too, will never forget.

          3. Very interesting personal observations, Nancy.

I can only repeat myself and say that I think both Maggie and Pierre were certifiable screwballs, with Pierre being slightly less foaming at the mouth in public — which only made him more dangerous for normal, unsuspecting people.

The real mystery person in all this was Pierre’s father-in-law. On paper Sinclair seemed like a very accomplished, serious person. Completely unlike Trudeau senior, who was the epitome, until he obtained power, of a conceited, aimless dilettante. Why would any respectable father allow his underage daughter to be courted by an aging fop like Trudeau? That marriage of emotional dwarves was a national embarrassment, and its product is destroying Canada to this very day.

By the way, I knew quite a few Montreal anglos who left Quebec in 1976 and they were/are good people. The later emigres, (say when CP relocated in the 90s), were definitely more statist in their orientation. Just from my personal experience…

        2. Jms at 3:51
Margaret was the wild one of Sinclair’s daughters. Imagine that! She smoked pot and Daddy got her married off and shipped out. Later she found out that she is manic depressive. ( was in her book – Justin paid her bills)

Yes, there were tons who left Quebec due to the October Crisis and the rise of Réné Lévesque. PET did his share to anger everyone, first in the Cité Libre publication and later as PM. His marriage to Maggie was just a sideshow. Just like Justin is a sideshow today. He has single handedly ruined Canada. The One World Unelected Government with open borders is ruinous and our future generations will revolt. Everything will go up 20% in the cost of living starting this Spring, it’ll make PET’s Wage and Price controls of the past look like small potatoes.

Justin is le vrai tête quarré of his whole family. Shame really.

  12. How many more tapes are there. That’s the real question here. I hope she pulls a trump and says you never know where and when I was taping.

  13. Expect the Liberal caucus to stay on PM Fancy-Sox’s crazy train all the way into the gorge come October, because, except for the two ex-Cabinet ladies, the entire lot appears to have gone full-Justin. Bad idea … you NEVER go full-Justin, EVER…!

    1. Bruce, true enough. CBC News is reporting that JWR and Philpott may be booted out of the Liberal caucus this coming Wednesday, and that Justin Trudeau will be absent at the meeting. Just a guess, but the Liberals may use the tape recording as an excuse to drop kick JWR out (we can argue the technical niceties of the tape recording, but I am just saying).

I must say the release of the tape recording is explosive. It makes for compelling news, and even the establishment media cartel is playing this up. The Liberals are in a bad place now. Either they boot JWR and Philpott out or they do not, and either way they are in trouble.

Note that the scandal angers left-wingers and right-wingers. Left-wingers are upset because the two ex-cabinet ministers are lefties, and one is aboriginal. Right-wingers are upset because of the pro-Quebec angle, and the corruption of law. Justin Trudeau wears his anti-Western Canada animus on his sleeve, and it shows here. What, for example, is he doing about China boycotting canola oil?

      1. Well, when it comes to objecting to China’s boycott of canola, the Turd sic’ced his Ag. Minister onto them. After all, she’s from Quebec, so no doubt knows all about the sector. I know they’re shaking in their boots.

    2. Remember the other 2 women who already have left caucus. Total defections from Jr’s team is 4, all women. So much for the avowed feminist, must not be 2015.

  14. Jody W-R knew she was being recorded and Michael Wernick didn’t. So she knew to be cautious and careful and he didn’t. Probably every politician’s phone conversation in future should start out by asking if anyone is recording. And expect they are, even if they say they are not.

  15. Come on, cut the PM some slack… it can’t be easy to find time for briefings when there are so many critical apologies to make and high priority pride parades to participate in.

    1. And deciding which colourful, themed socks to wear – that’s time-consuming, as well. Although, have you noticed he doesn’t show off the socks as often as he used to?

  16. Wernick please lose my number,

    I don’t want another call,

You can tell your friend the PM

he’s going down big time this fall …

  17. So every word out of almost every one of them is a bald faced lie.
I wonder if the media will notice that tidbit?
Or is lying just completely normalized now?

  18. It has been interesting to watch this unfold in a number of areas, National Post, CBC, etc. The telling part is the amount of absolute ignorance that still exists in the liberal voters minds across this country. The he said/she said, the ‘illegality’ of taping a telephone conversation, the interpretation of perception, and on and on it goes. The bigger picture that nearly all Canadians and the MSM have overlooked is that SNC-Lavalin purposefully lobbied the Liberal government to enact a law that would allow them to circumvent the charges that had been levied against them some years ago. This lobbying was successful. Now as a Canadian is this how you want your justice/legal system to operate? That really is the question here.

  19. A further note to my comment above relates to the comments in the MSM columns. It is truly amazing how many Liberals will continue to make excuses and allowances for voting for Trudeau back in 2015. These people would back a dead horse at the Kentucky Derby without realizing that they are throwing their money away. The problem is that we all have to live with the smell of the dead horse as it is dragged off to the abattoir.

  20. Trudeau should have picked his cabinet based on merit instead of gender.
And by merit I mean the Liberal definition of merit.
He should have picked the person who would have been the most useful to the Liberal Party, the most corrupt and sleazy Liberal scumbag who would have followed orders from HQ about giving SNC their free pass.
    That kind of merit.

It’s also interesting to see that the stupid Canadian media is still prattling on about how this could cost Canadian jobs.
    It wouldn’t.
Not unless Trudeau and SNC have already rigged a whole bunch of bids for government contracts.
    Kinder Morgan, anyone?

    1. Bingo! How are the Liberals going to get all those infrastructure dollars into their campaign fund, to say nothing of their personal pockets, if Lavalin is barred from bidding?
