  4. I was thinking about these Gillette ads after I got phoned for a telephone survey today. It look >15 minutes, and was for men over 18 years old only. Basically it was questions about “Is it always, sometimes, or never okay to hit a woman if she refuses to do household chores?” “Is it sometimes, always, or never okay to hit your children if your spouse refuses to have sex with you?” “Is it okay to slap a woman if she is aboriginal?” It went on and on.

    It was the most bizarre and creepy thing ever. I felt like asking this poor surveyor lady if anyone had answered yes to any of these. Can’t help but wonder who would commission such a survey. Somehow our tax dollars were probably involved in paying for it.

    Maybe they meant to do the survey in Saudi Arabia instead. Yeesh.

      Personally, I did # 1 after “do not call list” failed. The house is so quiet now. Most times I don’t answer the door either unless I know who it is. Just a good precaution.

        Last survey started with them asking my sex and gender, explaining what sex was, then when they got around to explaining what gender is I firmly told the surveyor “No it isn’t, and I will not go along with liberal marxist newspeak. Gender is a synonym for sex that allowed Victorians to talk about sex without using the word.”

      I listened to a Joe Rogan podcast one day about 2 yrs ago, where this young woman explained she financed her College Education by selling her soiled underwear and later on, her own EXCREMENT….I’m not kidding..!! She apparently did very very well monetarily speaking.

    By the way, Gillette is a Procter and Gamble brand. Why hasn’t P & G corrected this, or does this reflect corporate policy?

    A general boycott is in order, if they don’t correct this, immediately.

S.c.c.: I checked the P&G web site, and if you tool around under the “corporate info” tab, you will see that they, the entire corporation, has two major SJW campaigns underway, one for “gender justice” and on for “racial justice”. So one has to boycott all P&G products, which is difficult to do. Conservatives should roll up their sleeves and build a boycott P&G web site, with the appropriate info.

      P.s., over the weekend I had to buy a new can of shaving cream, and I bought something other than a P&G product.

      1. Thanks for doing the legwork on that.. Now the Gillette campaign is clearly just part of a giant corporations war to shove leftism down the nations throat. How is it that Procter & Gamble got taken over by these enemies of the republic?

        They make a lot of the shampoos etc. that are sold by other corporations that are store brands, But their margin has to be a lot less on those products. So it’s still possible to hit them in the pocketbook.

    2. S.c.c: this post is a follow-up to my earlier reply to you. I checked a 2017 web site, a 2017 change.org petition calling for a P&G boycott. The petition had a link to this Wiki entry, a list of Procter and Gamble products:

      As one can see from the list, the list is lengthy, so one has to be fairly well briefed when one goes shopping.

      I also did a Google of “boycott Gillette products”, and, as I say in my other post, there is a lot of boycott talk, but no concrete organization has been set up, with a web site, to coordinate any boycott. One of my longstanding complaints is that conservatives do a lot of complaining, with righteous indignation, but do little in terms of hard, organizational work. This is why the left wins most battles. I am a Trump supporter, since these days it is a fight between ordinary people and the powerful establishment. The left-establishment is the establishment, since decades ago they decided to organize. Procter and Gamble execs must be laughing in their corporate offices, knowing full well how flimsy their opposition is.

      He is the Dems worst nightmare – he could peel off a lot of support especially if no moderate candidate with a chance runs from within the Dem party. Imagine how the GOP would have felt if Trump had broken ranks and run as an independent in 2016…

  12. This is truly frightening and a portent of the future of the Philippines. Muslims, who have just killed 20 people in a Catholic church are now to be given autonomy in the southern Philippines. As we know muslims are never satisfied and this is the beginning of this country becoming a wholly muslim one. I thought Duterte would have declared war and driven the muslims into the sea.

    Is this our future in Canada? Remember according to Stats Canada we had 6,100 muslims here in the 50’s, now over 1.3 million.

    The unqualified driver of the semi who killed all those kids in Saskatchewan is about to be sentenced after a hearing.

    The last sentence of the article in very disturbing: ” In December, the Saskatchewan government introduced mandatory training for semi-truck drivers which is to begin in March.”

    So, before this anyone who held a driver’s licence could drive an 80 ton semi in Saskatchewan!? Where in hell was your licencing bureau on this file all these years?

      No. Only drivers who possessed the appropriate class of licence, which can only be attained by demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skill by written examination and road testing, even in Saskatchewan.
      This shouldn’t be blamed on any “licencing bureau”. The applicant is tested according to the “test standard” he can meet, irrespective of the “training” he has undergone. It remains to be seen whether including mandatory training by accredited trainers results in fewer accidents. If it does, and I suspect it does, then why not require it for all classes of licence.

    In the department where I worked on my Ph. D., a large number of the grad students were Chinese. They often didn’t speak with each other in English, which was a major irritation to a number of the Canadians there.

    As a former foreigner myself, I often find it refreshing to be able to speak with people from the old country in our mother tongue. But I don’t think that the professor did anything wrong. She did, after all, encourage those students to speak English.
