    1. And not one has ever been convicted of anything. Meanwhile the people who repeatedly attack the religious and political events they attend have been charged in the dozens despite the fact that police usually ignore assault by leftists. Some were recently charged in New York with deflecting a bottle thrown their heads and beating up some lefties who attacked them even though video clearly shows the Marxists started it.

  1. I’m amazed by that, mind you I did see a woman who was good with horses place her hand on an excitable horse in the same area as the duct tape was applied and it seemed to quiet the horse down. Does anyone know why it works?

          1. Yikes! …scroll upwards please to the Ikea warehouse accident…it is a disaster! I don’t know why the pix appears lower when one clicks in…grr!

          2. Holy Crap. The forklift hardly touched the shelves. Their shelving must be built like their furniture.

          3. Nold: maybe the shelf was their furniture!

As for the quality of Ikea’s stuff being rubbish, I have to agree. I often find floor lamps abandoned by some of my fellow tenants. They’re usually in terrible shape and, rather than it going into the landfill, I often take them with me. I take them apart, discard the bits I don’t want, and convert what’s left over into an antenna stand.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

  2. There are two fundamental forces in the universe:

    1. Duct tape; for things that are apart and should be stuck together.
    2. WD-40; for things that are stuck together and should be apart.

Warning! Applying WD-40 to duct tape may cause fundamental instability in the fabric of the universe and is not recommended. More research is needed, but frankly, it scares the bejeezus out of us.

The lower court judge didn’t want this POS to get deported…
“I’m going to get my gang and I’m going to find you and kill you. I’m a real gangster and you will die. Trust me, you fucking goofs.”
I think the lower court judge should serve time in jail…
‘Yare’s Winnipeg-based lawyer, Edmond Murphy, said it’s hard to say whether his client will be deported imminently or not, as Yare has since been arrested again and is back in custody on charges of assault with a weapon and uttering threats.’
To get 6 months or more jail time in this country you’ve got to do something pretty bad. Harper made this the threshold for deportation. I’m surprised Justupid and his cabal haven’t just made it illegal to deport non-citizen criminals.

    1. Edmonton city council, in its infinite wisdom, now refuses to deport undocumented aliens because, if they were sent back, they might be in “danger” while they wait for papers to be processed. That’s the excuse I was given by my ward alderman’s office.

I guess those of us to came to Canada 50 or 60 years ago are the dummies because we came with our papers properly prepared and ready and, worse, we weren’t “refugees”.

Never mind that this decision was made without consulting the voters. So much for vox populi.

  4. Blasted postal strike, time to get heir arses back on the job or put them out of business. We need to use every available way to avoid using that service, let them suffer layoffs.

    1. +1

More uncivil servants who hold us ransom every few years. All public service unions should be reclassified as essential services and banned from striking.

    2. Last week, I was reminded once again that Canada Post is largely irrelevant.

A package I was waiting for finally arrived and the postman called me from the apartment entrance to come and pick it up. When I got there, he told me he couldn’t give it to me because I had to collect it from the nearby postal depot but he didn’t know why. Instead, he gave me the usual while-you-were-out tag.

I tried early in the evening, as he suggested, but the packages hadn’t been delivered to the depot. I collected the item the next day and all that was required from me was to show my ID and to sign for it.

Why on earth did Canada Post waste my time? Wouldn’t it have been easier to simply put that tag in my postbox without bothering me and I could get the package later on? Instead, I had to make 3 trips when one would have been all that was necessary.

UPS drivers, when they deliver their shipments, at least have an electronic device for signatures with them. They don’t spend a lot of time horsing around but, then, the company is a business, not a Crown corporation.

  5. Its that time of year for the traditional annual take Christ out of Christmas campaign. The National Post reports on a mall in Sunny Ways B.C. that banned a Salvation Army group for singing Christmas carols that mentioned Jesus. It might have been better if the mall had a United Church group. Then there would have been no mention of Christ or God.

    1. I don’t know where you got that information, but on the front page of today’s Latest Edition of the National Post an article reported that that mall has relented and put Christ and Christian Christmas carols back into Christmas.

      1. How the hell did they find a white guy to Moderate the United Church? Aren’t all the preachers ugly lesbian atheists? 100 years ago when the church formed they were half way Bible thumperish. What in hell Happened?

  6. Is anyone else noticing that links are being hijacked on instapundit? I click on a link and it sends me to a random site. It only happens on instapundit. I’ve scanned for viruses and malware. Happens on my mobile and laptop. It started a couple of days ago.

  7. Something you won’t see on CBC, France Télévisions, BBC, SVT, ARD ……

“You Cant Get More Red-Pilled Than Poland REDUX”
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDsVXDvbrFA

“After 316,764 views, 11,526 likes (763 dislikes), YouTube decided to remove the original version of this video. smh The Polish people have been through much hard times, including Russian control and communism. But hard times create strong men and women.”

Though it’s curious how is it that it is on YouTube.

    1. Thanks for that. I enjoyed particularly the aerial view of Gdansk in which I recognized some buildings from our visit there in 2010. My ancestors came from a village about 30 or so kilometers to the east, nearer the delta. My ancestor was a ferry operator there.

May the Poles stay free, but avoid commonwealth arrangements with Lithuania.

  8. Don’t miss Faith Goldy’s latest. The UN document on migration rights is being rejected by a number of countries, but Canada (the Pied Piper) is leading the way. It is very concerning and it is appalling that once again the MSM media in Canada has not bothered to cover this major international agreement. Here is Faith’s video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSbzav6UITA

    Comments are also informative.

  9. I just posted a comment on the topic of Waldorf schools and the avoidance of the chicken pox vaccine. This was a topic on SDA yesterday. My take is somewhat different from those that others have posted, so if the topic is of interest to you, check out the post.

    1. “We should not be going out of our way to issue pot shots at every person or group who may view the world through a different lens. Better to try to figure out where they are coming from.”

We know where they’re coming from. They are too vain to listen to the wisdom of previous generations.

Experience keeps a dear school—and she is not above claiming first-born sons as her price. Liberals learn in no other. They have nothing to teach decent, sensible people like those on SDA and much to learn.

By all means let their brats die of preventable diseases because they think vaccination is a Jewish plot to give their snowflakes autism. Better theirs than mine.

  10. Is it just me, or would anyone else call this bafflegab: “women in the U.S. are less likely than men to know certain scientific facts about global warming and tend to be less certain of what they know, even though they have a more accurate understanding of the risks and threats from global warming,” Is the claim that because women know less about global warming they nevertheless seem to have come to the “right” conclusions, or at least more so than the men who apparently know more??? Would’t knowing less make them more susceptible to being fooled? Somehow the researchers missed that possibility: https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2018-11-20/yale-women-more-worried-less-knowledgeable-about-climate-change

    1. there is not a single white person among the 10 students holding the “Toronto” sign

Haven’t you heard? White people are already safe by virtue of their “privilege”.
