      1. I agree. The word scumbag comes to mind. Lenin said, “The capitalist will sell me the rope with which I will hang him”.

        1. Exactly, but I think now the socialists are providing the rope, free of charge, to the capitalists, to do their worst.

  1. Racist liberals are getting bumped off in the USA primaries, serves them right of course. When Hispanics rule California, the fruits and nuts may get their panties in a twist over the catholic influence, it will be interesting…

    1. Don’t miss the video of Trudeau which is posted right next to this one. He is in his element. Another pair of cutesy sox, and he gets to expound on one of his favourite topics — equality for women. He thinks women in the workforce is a real noon for the economy, but it won’t be so much longer if he continues to undermine the economy. Curiously, I did not see any other males at this event. I guess males were not particularly welcomed. So much for equality.

      1. Christine Lagarde made an error crediting Canada for having Government Daycare in place for children. Government daycare for children only exists is the province of Quebec. It is provided for though the generous equalization payments that Quebec receives from the ROC. These people talked about old silliness, IMO.

Trudeau plays the self deprecating act well. He is kind of amateurish with these women but they respected him. There is the madness in his apparel that is distracting. To me, he is one grand galoot.

(I wonder whether Christine Lagarde ever met Pierre Trudeau?)

        1. It is interesting to recall that when the communist regime fell in Russia around 1990 and the fledgling somewhat democratic government of Boris Yeltsin took power one of the first acts was to abolish government run daycare. The new government cited too much state brainwashing and propaganda as the reason.

          1. Ken:
Yeltsin’s abolishment of daycare wasn’t surprising given the reduced circumstances. Alexandra Kollontai must’ve rolled over in her final resting place.

  2. More “It seemed like a good idea at the time”

“Chrystia Freeland Virtue-Signaling as Leverage for Preferential U.S-Canada Trade Outcome…”

“After participating in a “Trump The Tyrant” left-wing symposium on September 10th, the primary Canadian trade negotiator appears in Washington DC on September 11th to demand preferential treatment based on friendship, virtue and neighborliness.”

    1. I find it increasingly impossible to listen to this woman or follow the trade “negotiations”. They can’t be that dumb can they? It must be part of a plan of failure.

      1. It is absolutely part of the plan. She knows exactly what she is doing. She is a Soros mule. There are photos and there is a money trail.

        1. Her own personal goal is avenging her grandfather and Adolf Hitler, and destroying both Russia and the Jewish people.

        2. The point is that although the plan is to kill NAFTA what team Sockmonkey predicts will be the outcome (more government taxation in the form of tariffs) is not the likely outcome when the GDP falls off a cliff when the jobs move south due to the end of the NAFTA trade agreement.
In any plan the liberals operate to the goal is more regulation and higher taxes, no matter the cause or the issue.

  3. Trudeau/Freeland….how do you spell F-A-I-L-U-R-E ?
What a side show, no sign there’s even intelligent banter going on.

Who will Butts call upon to save their bacon, eggs, milk and cheese?

Interesting article on CBC about NAFTA, especially at the end ,where there is a video of former Quebec Liberal PM Brian Mulroney praising Justin Trudeau,Chrystia Freeland, and the Liberal government of Canada in general.

Mulroney’s been working with Trudeau for two years now, about the same time as Chretien worked to help Stephen Harper when Harper was the PM. (ext.sarc)

  5. Max’s Eclectic Party.

    Sign up here…madx.

“Maxime Bernier’s Party Scores Backing Of Ex-MP Gurmant Grewal, Pot Activist Marc Emery
The fledgling movement has some eclectic early supporters.” (huffpo)

    1. If Grewal is the best that Max can do he may as well pack it in now! IMHO he had to have a few sitting MP’s join him as he walked and he did not get them.

As someone on the ‘street’ I cannot know the personal dynamics between Scheer and Max. Max has lots of negative history but Scheer has not been a beacon of conservative thought either. My ongoing problem with the CPC is their inability to articulate conservative values thru a venue that actually reaches citizens. The Liebels own the CBC, CTV and Global, the G&M, Sun, Province and Red Star. The CPC have known their communication problem for decades and yet have not found a alternative. Many people laugh at Trump and his twitter but he has found an alternative. The MSM hate him for his end around as much as they hate him for his politics.

  6. As an addendum to Don Morris’ 8:38 am Tip above.

The Liberal pretending to be Conservative Brian Mulroney opposes Premier Doug Ford’s use of the Not Withstanding Clause. He confirms once again why I want to puke when I recall his tenure as PM.

    “Canadian politicians condemn Ford’s choice”

    1. He confirms once again why I want to puke when I recall his tenure as PM.

Lyin’ Brian was interested in only being able to play with the big kids and to rub shoulders with the world’s movers and shakers. It wouldn’t surprise me if he considers his appearance with Reagan on national TV as his crowning achievement.

    2. The Nothwithstanding clause is a tool designed so that the judgement of legislators can (as needed) override the decisions of the courts which can in many instances have very detrimental results. I see no reason why it should be considered a negative. It simply means “we disagree with the courts”, and in this case the reasoning was particularly convoluted so it is entirely fair to disagree. This business of being afraid to use that tool is creating serious problems. No one should be criticized for using it. Trudeau should be using it on the pipeline decision, but he is in fact in agreement with sabataging Canada’s oil exports, so not surprising that he does not.

      1. Trudeau is not using the N.W. clause, because they don’t know how.
Butts hasn’t read that part of the manual.

  7. We need a new short, succinct message platform to take the place of Dorsey’s Twitter:

“The federal government, U.S. Supreme Court, and lawyers across the country use the word ‘illegal alien’ to describe immigrants who illegally enter the country, because that’s the definition in the law.

But Twitter makes its own laws, and the social media giant is now blocking folks from promoting any messages with the phrase, which its moderators apparently consider ‘hate speech.’ ”’

  8. “Are Trump’s enemies proving his conspiracy theories TRUE? He always said dark forces were out to get him… now, after revelations of a ‘resistance’ inside the White House.” Does the President have a point?

“He is ‘impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective’. And Mr or Ms Anonymous goes on: ‘He engages in repetitive rants, and his impulsiveness results in half-baked, ill-informed and occasionally reckless decisions that have to be walked back.”

This treacherous article concludes with the self-justification that he or she is part of the ‘quiet resistance’ putting ‘country first’. But listen to an alternative argument. The country went to the polls. Nearly 63 million Americans voted for Trump, and by the rules of the electoral college he was the duly elected President.”

And furthermore, no one can say he’s not doing what he promised. Renegotiating trade deals, tougher immigration laws, confronting North Korea, cutting taxes, exiting the Iran nuclear deal, winding back regulations, are exactly what he promised during the campaign.”

Another thought: if you are part of a deep state conspiracy, don’t you just keep your mouth shut about it, rather than advertise what you are doing in the New York Times? I know that in spycraft, hiding in plain sight can be mighty effective. But this? I’m not sure it strengthens your hand.”

Now the kill shot: “The problem for Mr or Ms Anonymous is that you weren’t elected to decide. Donald Trump was.”

  9. Good read on the hypocrisy of race baiting, gulag loving Barack Obama, wearing his white hat while taking on hundreds of white supremacists, sure his illegal acts were for the right reasons, while Trump’s words and temerity to challenge Obama’s tainted legacy are, otoh, verboten.

Yes, he does remind us all why Donald Trump is POTUS and the GOP controls Congress, most governorships and legislatures.
