Of course, given his key role in founding the Hebrew University of Jerusalem at a time when the then openly anti-Semitic management of Canadian universities still enforced Jewish quotas on admission, Einstein arguably did more for a deserving group that was historically underrepresented in higher learning than the “diversity” crowd ever has.
The problem is that the more the “diversity” crowd mourn the absence of a group from top universities, the more likely it that there’s a good reason for their absence.
Meanwhile, white males are being increasingly shut out of top western universities by the little emperors and empresses of China’s elite, but because the Chinese are not “Zionists,” nobody is worrying much about that.

Just about every ad for faculty positions nowadays are written so that one can only interpret them as saying “heterosexual white men need not apply”. So much for hiring on the basis of merit.
And, yes, the Chinese have taken over the universities. When I was finishing my doctorate 20 years ago, it seemed that most of the grad students were from over there. There were times when I felt that I, a Canadian citizen, was an intruder and that they were the ones in charge.

Ive asked that many times in the past until I thought it over.
short version:
I have a brick. I throw it at a tempered glass window which holds.
I throw the brick 3 X faster. it hits with NINE times the kinetic energy and the glass yields. this is basic high school physics.
now, pretend I throw the brick at the speed of light.
it has the kinetic energy of the brick times the speed of light times the speed of light.
except ya cant accelerate matter to the speed of light, it just gets heavier.
what to do . . . . .

the nuke reaction converts the brick to energy. what kind of energy? ELECTROMAGNETIC. which travels, you got it!! *at the speed of light*.
so, the effect is ‘kinda like’ throwing the brick at the speed of light. except it isnt an original brick anymore, its all ENERGY. travelling the speed of light.
so there it is, Q: howcum the speed of light?
A: because thats how fast that electromagnetic energy is now travelling, that came out of the fusion reaction that converted it, the brick, to infrared radiation etc and sent it on its way.

I was channel surfing the other day and saw some Einstein on the sidelines wearing a ‘Diversity is Strength’ shirt at a cfl game.
Trust the cfl to up the anti. Can’t be PC enough.
That was probably June Jones, Tiger Cats coach, but the CFL is really pushing the diversity meme. Good thing I only watch football twice a year, at most.

And yet many of the US and Canada’s technical and trades colleges have completely avoided this baloney. If I were a hiring manager, I’d be focusing on two year trade and technical diplomas, not varsity degrees…
These new faculty application questions fit right in with the nonsense of mandating corporate board gender makeup by law.
Freedom of thought and merit are such outdated concepts and should be consigned to the dustbin of history. Now, where have we heard that before? The old Marxist expression was creating the new Soviet man, today the expression is creating the new it person.
