Watch the play away from the bouncing ball. Trudeau’s pending legislation will block future pipelines. Read more here…..
So while perhaps the Trans Mountain expansion will happen, though that is far from certain, other oil pipelines will not.
Not with this government.

The irony is that using today’s Liberal logic the Canadian Pacific Railway would never have been built and there would be no Canada.
A great irony is that Sir John A. is being pilloried in part for moving the natives away from the areas where the train route was being constructed. That is the only way to get national projects done. They must be made a priority and obstacles must be removed. These days dollars frequently can be use to buy off those opposed, but that too is risky, since people begin to see it as a way of making money. I was thinking about the dictum that natives must agree — technically they do not have to agree, but they must be consulted. Unfortunately, the natives are not a coherent nation to the extent that they do not have institutions with which we can negotiate. That means that any belligerent tribe can interfere. I think we need to deal with the latest court decision quickly and then full-steam ahead, arresting those who interfere once the courts concerns are addressed. This deliberate thwarting of our economy cannot go on and on. There would be a lot of noisy protesters, but I think most Canadians would be supportive of pushing KM through.
You’re asking for a lot from this current regime. They will continue to pander, others will thwart, others, extort, and we will be handed the bill for all of it.
While on the subject of ironies and the CPR,as far as I know there’s no law to prevent the oil from being shipped by railroad.
Yesterday I was driving west of Salmon Arm on Highway 1 and overtook a CP Rail train with at least 100 liquid petroleum tankers tootling along at about 80 km/hr. A few tens of meters from the clear blue water of the South Thompson River. After Kamloops the railroad is beside Kamloops Lake. Then alongside the Thompson River. Then alongside the Fraser River.
For about five hundred kilometers through BC this railroad threads alongside rivers and lakes. The CN is much the same.
Murphy’s Law has been validated time and again when it comes to derailments.
Perhaps the real flaw in the environmental review was disregarding the environmental consequences of not proceeding to build the pipeline.
Excellent point, just ask the citizens of Lac-Megantic.
No Canada?
Meh.
Trudeau like Obama are in the pockets of the Deep Greens the back to nature keep it in t he ground idiots all liberals with the walnut brains favor the Eco-Nazis/Watermelons
Steve E is right. The Trans-Canada highway system and the Welland Canal would not have been built either.
It does appear that with the full support of the US special interest foundations, the Laurentian Elite and their MSM arm this destroyer will be reelected for another term and maybe another two terms. Andrew Who will not be able to stop him.
This means, as per Shiny Pony’s wishes, the energy resource industry will wither and die.
I might add, that hopefully Trump sticks it to him in the NAFTA trade talks.
the resources will still be there and eventually have to be used no matter what foolishness the green crowd tries to dream up. It will be freeze and starve or war.
Let’s hear more about this pipeline in Quebec, this is the first time I have heard about it. Maybe if it was more widely known people would finally ask the PM something about it.
The money line from the article:
Gerald Butts.
Gerry used to head up the Canadian operations of the World Wildlife Fund.
“Truth be told, we don’t believe there ought to be a carbon based energy industry by the middle of this century,” Butts said in 2012.
The objective is to re-align the economy of a country with 4 to 6 months of real winter every year so as not to use carbon based fuels at all. Nowhere does Gerald’s Butt utter what that non-resourced based economy should look like or how we will heat our houses within the economy. It is a wish for utopia by an idiot without any concrete plans other than “OIL BAD, GRUNT, UGH”. He wished to accomplish a task that has never been tried. Ponder that for a moment and the rest of the government’s strategy is clear. There will be no pipelines, period.
President Trump says “S******e countries.”
PM Trudeau replies “I want that.”
Once the idiots truly take over the world, wouldn’t it be great if Alberta’s final gift to mankind, sorry, personkind, oh wait, peoplekind, was to light the remaining oil sands reserves on fire and burn it all off anyways?
The fine people of Alberta should be thanked for cleaning up the world’s largest natural oil spill.
Separation.
Of course Trans Mountain will get built!
The energy needs of his chinese masters need to be met.
There will never be another pipeline built in Canada.
If you want to have oil wells, and sell that oil, the only way is separation.
Separation is the end.
Of supply management.
Of equalization.
Of Trudeau’s.
Of leaders from Quebec.
Of leaders from Ontariowe.
Of national energy programs.
Of official bilingualism.
Of the food guide.
Of the charter of servitude to government.
Of 3 year wait lists for otolaryngologists.
Of trade wars for political gain by Liberals and NDP.
Of premier’s conferences.
Of the CBC.
Of rule by distant citiot over lords.
Of treaties that guarantee representation without taxation.
Of Bombardier.
Of fighter jet maintenance going to Quebec.
Of Quebec.
Of French on ANYTHING.
Of RCMP gun grabs.
Of kowtowing to the demands of brain dead morons in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal.
We need to burn it all down.
It is time to spit on our hands, raise the black flag, and start slitting throats.
It is time to be free of Ontario and Quebec and the maritimes.
It is time to admit that Dumont and Riel were right all along.
Anyone not pushing separation, is not worth listening to, or voting for.
Butts is a WWF eco-zealot and Trudeau wants the oil sands shut down. This is documented and their actions are demonstrations of these facts.
This is a no growth government that is in the thrall of a clique of lobbyists that refuse to live by the environmental rules they impose on everyone else.
Give liberals ther way and we would have let Hitler take all of Europe and the Britsh iles and they would sit with Hitler and smoked the peace Hooka
…..Look, squirrel!
