Tonight on the CTV News Channel (6PM News hosted by Merella Fernandez) they had a leftist wingnut laying claims that he was a political expert and that there had not been a new federal political party in Canada since Tommy Douglas allegedly formed the CCF in 1944. Total fallacy!! The truth is that the CCF party was actually formed in Calgary Ab. in 1932 and was led by J.S. Woodsworth. It was a year later at a meeting in Regina that they adopted the Regina Manifesto as their blueprint.
In any event, I fail to see the relationship between the CCF and Max Bernier wanting to form a new Right leaning party! What next??

I have stopped watching the CTV News channel years ago, since it is a paid shill for the federal Liberal party. I am still trying to find a way to get CNN, CTV News and MSNBC dropped from my cable TV. My cable dollars are still financing corrupt journalism.

And the first Medicare law passed in Canada was in Alberta in 1935 under the United Farmers government. They were defeated in the August 1935 election and the new Social Credit government cancelled the project before it was instituted.

Media bias in favor of progressives??? Is this an issue after all these years? Absolutely incredible that this is still questioned. A long history of proof exists and even if Canadians wanted to ignore that reality Donald Trump has exposed that reality in the USA over the past couple of years.
It appears that the CPC does not believe in a progressive bias. First Harper would not support Sun TV and now Scheer has excluded the Rebel from AGM coverage. It confirms that the CPC does not have a strategy to confront or establish an alternative avenue to get their message out. A bold move by Harper would have been engaging Sun TV and helping Sun TV become a conservative voice in Canadian politics.
Failure to develop a communication strategy is incredible after all these years. It is a clear demonstration of Bernier’s critic of conservatives being willing to compromise their convictions for the expediency of a sound bite.
We must conclude that there is a price tag on free speech.
Trump won, the media lost and they and their Democrats can’t get over it. We need to ensure we do the same here, defeating the Liberals defeats their trumpets in one fell swoop.

The overwhelming majority of Canadians love the G&M, the Red Star, Global, CTV, CBC. If they loved Sun News it would still be on the air.
If an overwhelming number of Canadians loved The Star, Globe, etc. they would not be going down the tubes financially. The CBC has minimal viewership and survives on govern ment support. Really, these are all old media formats. Ezra has recently signed up his one millionth subscriber.

Bullshit. All the news programming in Canada was required to be on basic cable, collecting fees per 100% of subscribers. Sun News was not.
Sun TV petitioned to be added to basic cable and were declined by the Harper government. They never gave SUN TV a chance.
