When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

No shit, Sherlock.

President Trump has revoked the security clearance for former CIA director John Brennan, the White House announced Wednesday, in the first decision to come from a review of access for several top Obama-era intelligence and law enforcement officials.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders read a statement on behalf of the president during the start of the press briefing, saying Brennan “has a history that calls his credibility into question.”

The statement also claimed Brennan had been “leveraging” the clearance to make “wild outbursts” and claims against the Trump administration in the media.

“The president has a constitutional responsibility to protect classified information and who has access to it, and that’s what he’s doing is fulfilling that responsibility in this action,” Sanders said Wednesday.

Last month, the White House said they were looking into the clearances for other former officials and Trump critics, including former FBI director James Comey; former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe; former director of national intelligence James Clapper; former national security adviser Susan Rice and former CIA director Michael Hayden (who also worked under President George W. Bush).

When I went looking for this story on Google News (after spotting it elsewhere) the Fox News link above wasn’t among those suggested — oddly enough.

  1. No mention of his communist past. And his allegiance to allah (PBUH). How the hell does one become head of fhe CIA with that type of background? DC is seriously effed up. DRAIN THE SWAMP.

    1. Every. Single. Republican. Who. Voted. To. Confirm. Brennan. Should. Be. Tossed. OUT. Of. Office!!!!!! Shameful. This man was a clear and present danger to our country.

I keep warning that Obama’s capers in office will eventually come back to roost for America. Secrets revealed, security breached. Some time in the near future … America will PAY for electing, and appointing these RADICAL, EXTREMIST, Leftists to the levers of POWER and irresponsibility.

    2. Well, with a Muslim Brotherhood Real President and Fake President, along with #2 in the State Dept. it’s easy for a muslim to become head of the CIA.

  2. I just did the google news search myself and the Fox news story did not come up as well.
Then I refreshed the page and TA DA!, it was at the top of the list.
Google must be monitoring this blog.

  3. CNN and all the other worthless news networks will use up Brennan for a couple weeks, and then dump him because he doesn’t have a security Clearance.

When I left the military I lost my Top Secret clearance, but I thought they would let me keep my helicopter.

    Who Knew?

    1. ..same with me….the second I left…no more security clearance
Why do these numbnuts think they are entitled when they leave office?

  4. Brennan was instrumental in the setting up and carrying out of the Russia Collusion probe. He’s also threatened the President. Good riddance, anti-American thug.

    1. On a Sunday morning news show a democrat congressman fearfully said Trump had better not piss off ex-CIA director Brennan because he could get you in 5 or 6 different ways.

Looks like the Got-er, became the Goat-ee.

I love Trump, he keeps me from getting bored.

  5. It was about time that those in the LOOP were warned that Brennan & others have problems….Wonder if Obama will still be in contact with Brennan….A skunk in every pot.. Eli Cummings will be very careful…..Drop the Writ after the Mid terms….Run wabbits

    JMHO

  6. I could never understand why a person could keep a security clearance when they left the position. It must have been unique to DC. Certainly in military service the clearance went with the job and ceased when the job did – still in uniform or not!

    1. Aviator, it’s a holdover from more congenial days when those departing retained such things as security clearances to provide assistance and advice to those incoming. Now, it’s simply absurd. Trump should have scuttled them on day 2, not year 2.

    2. A security clearance goes with the service member. Need to know goes with the particular job, and access is granted by the commander.

    3. Or why an ex-president, ex-governor, ex-judge continues to be addressed as president, governor, judge. No other country, to my knowledge, does this.
      Late empire, very late empire.

  7. This is a good move, and long overdue. Brennan (The Muslim) is responsible for a lot of Obama’s dirty work. I also read a few months ago that he had renounced his American citizenship and was planning to move to Ireland.

    1. Is that true? Link? If by his own choice he is no longer an American citizen, so obviously he cannot have the security clearance he got as an American citizen, period.

  8. One of the criteria for granting a security clearance is “need to know.” That is why clearances are terminated when the job is terminated. At least this is how it works in industry. I once literally left a job on Friday and went to the new job on Monday, and had a heck of a time getting the clearance transferred over.

  9. Is his GoFundMe page open yet? He accused the POTUS, without offering any evidence, of treason.

He also said, again without evidence, that Putin had “dirt” on Trump.

Disloyal and unethical much? Perhaps that’s the erratic behaviour referred to?

He shopped around a faked dossier he knew was so, as errand boy jail cover for Clapper (imho).

He lied to Congress, he presided over a CIA which became known more for intelligence failures than protecting Americans.

He like Clapper, Comey and many others were so busy trying to frame Trump that they failed to do their jobs.

How many people died, how many crimes were committed, because these folks took their eye off the ball?

Losing his clearance is the least of Brennan’s concerns. Hint, it’s not about free speech but perhaps about free accommodation.

  10. all of the dc apparatchiks shorted the present administration – not by guts or experience/analysis. they now live by their bets and choices.

  11. Pretty sure Trump didn’t get a permission slip from a judge for this action so there will be an injunction filed.

    1. A security clearance is a priviledge, not a human right. A judge’s opinion is not required. Brennan can always go through normal channels to have it reinstated.

  12. I am starting to understand why judges keep getting offed in South America and Asia. If you are going to keep setting yourself up as an aristocratic hereditary priesthood guild, ruling over the land as did the Ephors of ancient Sparta, then don’t be surprised when you get some feedback from the people…

  13. Frankly I’m surprised that anyone who is not employed directly with the government retains their security clearance. When you leave a company, it would be a frosty Friday if you still had access to corporate systems. Anyway, Brennan is a mental case.

  14. Notice the rogues’ gallery of other players that are being considered for removal of security clearances. The MSM calls it “revenge”. I suspect it’s all according to a bigger plan. I’m starting to believe that everything Trump does is part of his big plan being executed under cover of media chaos.
