CFL Picks, Week 3

An attempt to continue my no good, horrible record of picking winners and losers.

Ottawa at Calgary, tonight 19:00 CST. Calgary by 10.
Winnipeg at Hamilton, Friday 17:00 CST. Hamilton by 5.
BC at Edmonton, Friday 20:00 CST. Edmonton by 10.
Montreal at Saskatchewan, Sask by 3.

  1. Tomorrow’s Hamilton vs Winnipeg match up is the game of the week. Interesting pick that SSK would beat Als by only 3 pts; I’d see at least by 15. I can’t see Montreal win many games with Drew Willy… I’m on the TSN CFL Fantasy pool and my QB this week is Bo-Levi Mitchell while my team is Edmonton. In other CFL news I was disappointed the Eskimos donated 25 tickets to the Edson Mosque where that “arson committed by a white man” was pimped out as a hate crime when the media had no evidence…

  2. Your picks are conservative, Canadian football is like betting on Maiden Horse races… Then they will have key injures
The Hamilton Coach is the real deal…They will learn his system and get better with each game…

Sask will play Carter @ DE and be open for Pick 6’s, but they have to give Carter cover over the Top. He is cheating the flat
The Linebacker’s have shut down the middle & Outside Tackles have worked on Containment.. Only open option is Over the top..
Btw: Sask needs to score points if they want to beat good teams….

    JMHO

    1. I’ve called the Ti-Cats to go all the way in the East -even before Ricky Ray’s career ending injury and despite crossover. The west remains more blurry. Montreal ain’t gonna make it past 5 wins this season and I am a huge Alouettes fan.

    1. My take in the east by playoffs time:
      Hamilton
      Ottawa
      Toronto
      Excluding any cross over…

The West is a tough call, so many questions too i.e. How will the BB do without their QB for 6 weeks? etc. However BC is out of a playoffs race.

  3. I’m looking forward to a really good game. Calgary by three. Ten seems a little high with the way Harris played last week. Different game if it was in Ottawa.

  4. When Winnipeg was in the East, I always wanted them to go to the Grey Cup with a crossover team from the East winning the West. Only in Canada could you have Winnipeg represent the East and, oh, how about crossover Toronto, represent the West in the Grey cup.
