Always good to start your presentation with a jab at Trump. With that right there I am thinking that the guy probably was guilty.
Ties right in with the post below.
Maybe taking a jab at Trump, by the “victim” is a good strategy…Trump notices these kind of things, the idiot media loves them.
So if the Clinton News Network does their normal research, they will use this to attack…exposing the Department Minions to the attention of a President already less than impressed with their ethics.
Maybe you should go back and listen to the intro again. It was not a jab at Trump it was a jab at the DOJ because of the way they have been investigating Trump. In this day and age it is very easy for the DOJ to make a criminal out of anyone.
I find myself in total agreement with Alternate Juror #1 … I am AFRAID of my Government for the first time in my life. A “weaponized” IRS dragging its feet in processing conservative tax-exempt entities? That’s childs play compared to this example of the run-amok Obama/Sally Yates DOJ. This is nothing short of a Soviet Union, Communist, Show Trial to intimidate the public into “compliance”. This is what happens AFTER 40 million “dissidents” are executed, or disappeared to the Arctic Circle … the general public is “pacified” by Federal intimidation.
If Jeff Sessions doesn’t lance and drain the pus-filled infection at the DOJ … then he MUST be REPLACED … by someone with the STONES of a Howard Root. Someone who still BELIEVES in America’s founding documents.
DRAIN the SWAMP … sooner, rather than later.
Should Canadians believe that Canada’s legal system(s) always mete out justice, they might be startled at the number and merit of seemingly arbitrary decisions made by Crown Attorneys in pursuing police-supported criminal cases where, in the Crown’s view, the community may or may not be best served.
Oh do you mean like paperwork “crimes” committed by firearms owners?

A 2011 book on how each year it becomes harder and harder to avoid breaking laws, even through simply being unaware of obscure laws and regulations.
Is he any relation to Elihu Root, TR’s right hand man? Developer of mega huge contractors Brown & Root.
Remarkable speech!
$25 Million to defend oneself in a case that never should have been.
Conrad Black didn’t fare as well.
Hopefully Steyn wins.
“Wow” indeed. This truly is a “Who is John Galt?” situation. Ayn Rand’s prophecy is here.
Man there are truly some stupid people in here. It was not a jab at trump it was a jab at the protected swap people at the DOJ they are in the swamp still but now that trump is they are are most certainly not protected.
Remarkable performance all without notes. This is one smart individual and I think as John commented above, the Trump remark was made to draw attention to what he had to say and wasn’t necessarily made just for those in the room who obviously didn’t get the joke judging by their response.
Weaponizing public institutions for political purposes has become a trademark of the Democrats and the Deep State.
What is surprising is that Canada’s Liberals and their deep state operatives have flown under the radar for decades.
Listening comprehension can be hard. Let’s try reading comprehension. Starting at about 1:09 in the video, we have this: But to get the point of my story, I need everyone to do one simple thing right now. I need you to suspend your disbelief. Now, the willing suspension of disbelief is something they teach in theatre. You have to suspend your disbelief to enjoy a good play, right? But as Lionel Trilling said, it is now life and not art that requires the willing suspension of disbelief. And while Mr. Trilling said that a number of years ago, if you don’t believe that applies today, I can prove it in three words: President Donald Trump.
That’s a jab at Trump.
An otherwise fine speech marred by political virtue signalling.
He gave the speech at The Center of The American Experiment a conservative free-market think tank.
Why would a smart millionaire like Root go out of his way to insult a room full of people who probably voted for Trump and why would he feel the need to virtue signal anything?
He might have told that part differently but the election of Donald Trump is like something out of a play, or a novel, or a movie or at least the kind of movie Hollywood used to make. I’m willing to bet, that like me, Mr. Root can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
That is the Marxist way. Pass enough laws targeting everyone and every action so that at any time the police can come at 4 AM and arrest you.
