  1. So what happens when the local racist swine stop people on the streets and tell them to speak French?

  2. jeez Kate, I cant keep up with all this lieberal skullduggery. the local lieberal mp gets lots of visits from me with printouts from the links I get here @ SDA.
I only do it for the look of dread on their faces what sort of stinging commentary that accompanies my visits.
then I remind them what happened to his predecessor whose office staff threatened to call the cops for trespassing. that was the lieberal thugs’ response to Qs like: ‘what measures are being done to track foreign aid money to ahfricah to ensure at least some meaningful portion is ACTUALLY spent on the supposed programs and projects being funded?
I never did get an answer from them, only a denial about 2 yrs into the effort where they denied having any record of my Qs, whereupon I asked them should I then compose a letter with ALL the Qs listed and hand it to them right now? that’s what trigger the threat of trespassing charges and a look of great frustration and consternation on the byatch’s face instead of the usual dread.
they lost the election that put harper in office.

  3. Adscam level scandals are approaching faster than I’d thought they would appear. On Twitter there’s a story going around by Canadian journalists about a temporary skating rink to be built at Parliament that is estimated to cost 5 million (not verified).
When the shit hits the fan for the Liberals they might want to forego the “three monkeys defense” from previous corruption trials and go with a defense more in line with their actual ailment:
    affluenza
A legal defense by rich kids and or adults who are guilty of a crime for which they committed and freely admit. The defence is that the offspring of wealthy, privileged parents who never set limits on their childrens behavior, are exempt from regular laws because natural law allows for special privilege and greater understanding for the rich and powerful in general. This argument comes from a branch of philosophy called circular logic. If the defense works it also means that instead of applying legal limits on rich people’s behavior it legally exempts them and only them. This strengthens the defense in further legal problems should they occur again.

  4. 1) Club Med now owned by large Chinese company, Billion + year in revenue
    2) Club Meds target is wealthy Chinese. Not the middle class and those wishing to join it
    3) The money is coming from an “Innovation” fund….wtf?

  5. “The full-size refrigerated hockey rink being built on the lawn of Parliament Hill has been built for just three weeks of use, much of which will be taken up by an annual international tournament with ties to the NHL’s Ottawa Senators and Ottawa tourism groups.
But the project, which includes $4.3 million just for construction and operation of the artificial-ice rink, has left House of Commons officials in the dark, with concern about security as the scale of the project has grown and indications that the NHL also might be involved.”
    Turn a damn hose on.
    Entitled damn Liberals.

  6. Well, look at the bright side. This is better value-for-money than we got with the Kadhr payout.

  7. you mean the CPR hotels. they were built by the CPR . if you are stupid , don’t advertise it on the web.

  8. Exactly my first thought – less than1 terrorist payout ! Not only that ,with new tax fairness they will recover most of it when they tax hidden offshore money ! Plus they just collected 200 dollars for ethics breeches – um accidents ! How would it be possible this won’t work out . Snow is garunteed as we have a new tax to fix catastrophic global warming ! Totally absurd is the new normal . Proudly Deplorable !

  9. This is an indication of exactly how much they believe in their global warming B.S. On one hand they tell you snow will be a thing of the past and on the other hand they build ski resorts. It’s kind of like Al Gore buying ocean front property while lamenting the rise of the oceans. Hypocrites!

  10. Hey I’ll open a club Ned, and do it next door and do it for half price. Any investors out there? It will be way better than club Med

  11. Any one earning under $100,000.00 would not be able to afford the money and time to go to such a lavish place. MORE MONEY SPENT ON SOMETHING THE MIDDLE CLASS CAN’T AFFORD!! How about the 9,000,000.00 go to HEALTH CARE. The LIE bral gov’t needs to be HELD ACCOUNTABLE this is BUYING Quebec votes. Only creating 300 or more jobs at site with more off shoots under 400 with a total they said around 700…..a drop in the bucket to WHAT THE OIL INDUSTRY WOULD EMPLOY….OPEN UP QUEBEC’S RESOURCES!!!

  12. One does ask oneself why they need $9.8million at all? An inverse bribe? I am sure that cash will be filtered through Liberal bank accounts. Yes, I know it’s a “repayable” thingy. But who keeps track of the small print?

  13. No I mean the fee land and easements given to the cpr and the government projects and golf courses andmich of the infrastructure the government built that youcaee today to support those hotels.

  14. I think MP Sock Puppet has learned form the Clinton’s and their Clinton Foundation how to make money disappear…..The donation of MILLIONS to the Clinton Foundation by Sock Puppet….for what. He is learning where to hide the money?????? This LIE bral gov’t is no better the DEMOCRAT GOV’T of the US sleaze bags all of them!! Lobbying maybe money sent to his foundations????

  15. The site is Baie St Paul, about a 50 minute drive downstream from Quebec City & looking south over the St Lawrence valley & river. Baie St Paul is 7000+ folks, 7% unemployed, retired or scraping a living in this riverside town. An in place source of quaint, foreign speaking operational staff. The folks operating Ski Mont Ste. Anne further downstream, in a similar setting aren’t going to be happy.
I’m sure .gov employees & families, locally & countrywide will enjoy a discounted experience, should they wish to “ski richly” at this venue.
Who owned the land & who else owns land adjacently, or adjacent businesses? Who tapped the LPOC for this? Business does not get done in PQ, w/o .gov/business influence & money. Look to some .gov pension funds involved. Hey, the Caisse. They own 19% of Bombardier.
What was the interest rate negotiated on that repayable loan?

  16. The railroads would never have been built without the land grants involved. It was the best thing that the governments could have done. That land is no longer Crown owned and is now being used rationally (by others) based on economic rents. Unfortunately for the arrested development zone known as Canada, other than for homesteading which lingered another hundred years, most provinces stopped granting land in fee simple title over 150 years ago. Its why we get hammered by the Yanks in softwood and also why the Indians get their entitled attitude and why the greens have been so successful in de-industrializing the nation.

  17. Ah yes the CPR.
Guys of my era remember their grandpa’s and fathers talking about the CPR. They (the CPR) were hated in the west. The CPR got 25 million dollars and 25 million acres of western Canadian real estate (think Marathon Realty) from the government to complete the railroad to the Pacific. The final figures of this deal probably are in the hundreds of millions as the CPR ended up owning prime ag land as well as the downtown of places like Calgary. Sure they built luxury hotels but they were largely built with taxpayer $.
Spurred on by the Northwest Rebellion and their metis leaders (traitors) Dumont and Riel, the government was anxious to get a railroad west to transport troops to protect the integrity of the new country.
So, is there anything new here with Club Med?

  18. Some people cannot be reasoned with Cal2. Different time different era, the MacDonald Government was involved in the so-called scandal. The problem at the time was the Government of Canada at the time had neither the money nor the population to built a national railroad. Hard as it is for some people to understand when the railroad was built we did not have the limitless bucket of taxes to draw from, hence there were some ‘deal’s’ made. The railroad was required to open up the land, grow industry and expand the population. This latest ‘little’ scandal is nothing more than another Liberal dodge to fleece the Canadian taxpayer and enhance the Liberal elite. The money and a whole lot more of foreign aid funds should be spent on venues to help the average middle class family enjoy a two week camping vacation, which is about all most Canadians can afford, but Lil Tater Head is making sure that, that Canadian experienced is a thing of the past.

  19. This liberal Government is the most corrupt government Canada has seen! I didn’t think it could get worse! But each day there is another! Canada is on life support folks!
ANOTHER 1,000,000 LIBERAL VOTERS in 3 years! WOW

  20. On top of all that, the government had to purchase Rupert’s Land from HBC, to fill in the gap between Montreal & Victoria….a $5 million debt from the git go that we’re probably paying off still.

  21. Get your map out. Last I sailed east of Quebec City, “down” the St Lawrence, Baie St Paul was still east, or “downstream” (downhill) from Quebec City. St Lawrence flows west to east from the Great Lakes.

  22. Exactly both were pretty sweet deals for the private entity – not without risk to be sure – but definitely helped substantially by government.

  23. And the golf courses and much of the infrastructure around the resorts were but during the depression or by prisoners in the 20s and thirties.

  24. Interesting! But why would the government of Justin Trudeau invest in a ski resort knowing that in a few short years, all the snow will have melted, and global warming will have turned the place into a third class soap box derby track??

  25. Hmmmm, I wonder what the downstream environmental impact statement will say about this? I am sure the endangered french snow snakes that inhabit this location will be severely impacted. I sure hope the native casinos in the area realize the effects this will have on their hunting grounds and way of life. /sarc

  26. Oh the photo ops of PM Socks skiing down the slopes will be glorious.
And he’ll be able to give the Aga Khan skiing lessons too.
No more need for secret vacations. Saves taxpayers’ money!
    Captch: Sauf Properties.

  27. Pretty sure that the name of this Glorious achievement by Quebec self interested politicos will eventually be called Club Fed on Lake Justine.

  28. Yay! Almost $10M of taxpayer money to create a bunch of minimum wage service industry jobs! Make Canada Venezuela Again!
