  1. Toxic? My statement (direct observation, really) that liberals are waging a WAR on Christianity (aka devil worship) is a “toxic” statement? Hmmmm … reminds me of what my mother used to always tell me … “the truth hurts” (sometimes).
What’s MORE toxic? The actual WAR on Christianity … or commenting on its existence? What’s MORE toxic? The ACTUAL Holocaust? … or calling out Hitler’s deadly anti-semitism? This article is just another skirmish in the WAR against Free Speech … but saying so is … well … “toxic” … and therefore should be squelched.
The left’s attack on Free Speech and the US Constitution is deadly toxic … every bit as toxic as an Assad chemical attack on his own people.

  2. The statistics presented here suffer from a lack of detail. Plus, the definition of toxic is weakly defined.
From their examples, a toxic statement is “Liberals are devil lovers.” There are many satanic cults and witch dens that identify as liberal, very few of them identify as conservative. This statement certainly is stereotyping but not toxic.
Plus, is disqus even sure where most of the commenters really are from. Most people are using a VPN these days.

  3. It would be interesting to correlate this numbers (as squishy as they are) with voting patterns in the last couple of Presidential elections.

  4. Who knew all this time that the kinds of comments Disqus wanted were like “Grilled cheese has infinite possibilities.”
