  1. Twitter is nothing more than an endless shouting match with that REALLY ANNOYING friend that you avoid in social situations. Who needs that crap on your phone every 5 minutes ?

  2. Most of what I see on twitter is incomprehensible as presented, and I cannot be bothered do dig for meaning. Let it fail, it will not be missed.

  3. Twitter is a sewer that needs cleaning. Verified – read you can get sued for slander – accounts only is the only way forward.

  4. So long as Twitter keeps banning people, whose offence seems to be to have a differing POV, it will die from the death of a thousand cuts

  5. See my comment above – once that system is in place there would be no cause to ban.

  6. Gord, Twitter has been banning Verified Accounts e.g. Milo. Deplorable Dan is right, Twitter will fail as long as it keeps censoring opinions.

  7. NEVER will be the day I sign on to this thing.
When I was a kid,”twitter” was a word old ladies used to describe the sound of birds chirping, and a “tweet” was a word in a few songs. A “twit” was an idiot slightly less idiotic than the average idiot.
Twitter account? I’d rather praise Justin Trudeau for his intelligence.

  8. If they continue to throw off the few people worth reading like Milo Yiannopoulous, no wonder they’re going in the tank.

  9. I know that. They ban under the guise that twitter would be liable if some one was defamed. With 100% verified accounts that bogus excuse would not fly. And speech gets freer.

  10. here here. I have not sent a *single* twitter ever. not even via a borrowed phone.
    twitter: root word ‘twit’.
    the internet NEVER forgets.

  11. Shaking my head here – so what’s the alternative? Only stay here and never converse with others?
There are good people on twitter – some of us now call ourselves Canadian Patriots, teeming up with FB patriots countering the liberal lies on line and attending rallies in person.
Of all the detractors above – what have you done to network with other Cdns and get out to rallies?
Few years back – Kate advised – get out and expand your horizons, that’s what I’ve done, so please don’t put me down for it.
    BTW.
If you are a professional – you need linkedin and or head hunter agency now, as gumshoeing your CV around doesn’t cut it anymore. World is changing fast – only way to keep up is get involved.
